Happened upon this place on Yelp, and so glad we gave it a try. It's at Indian Creek plaza, so that's an added bonus- the place itself is so cute! Tons of pictures of dogs all over the place, which is such a fun added bonus. The service was wonderful- it is seat yourself, but the server came by quickly, gave great recommendations and was super attentive. Everything we ordered was fresh and delicious- we tried the white dog fries first and that's a great shareable appetizer. They do have a huge drink menu (though we didn't drink), but they had a ton of options. We really enjoyed it and can't wait to go back. read more

We were traveling and wanted to try a brewery. This was a great location and a relaxing open atmosphere with high ceilings and plenty of seating and with enjoyable pictures of dogs. It is a little loud but not too loud so conversations are easy. Food was great, it was not over seasoned and had a lot of flavors. Good selections of beers that are served cold and in a cold glass. We had a friendly server that was always available and quickly took our orders and food came out fast and prepared as ordered. I would recommend this place for anyone traveling in the Caldwell area. read more

I've been in before but came in this time after a long week at work, and the week isn't over yet. I had the smoked brisket street tacos. They were good but needed a sauce with them. They were a little dry. The Pineapple IPA is just about perfect. I don't know what it's missing but ZERO IBUs are nice. Visited here April 4th. I like to try new breweries in the area I'm working in. It took us a few minutes to find this place since the front sign is black and didn't show up until in the right spot. We ordered a couple beers while we looked at the menu. It took a long time for the waitress to return to take our order. The burgers we ordered were pretty good. The brews were great but when my wife was asked if she wanted another one and she replied I'm okay. The waitress came with the bill without even asking if I would like one. I found this oddly rude. I happened by chance to stop in here yesterday after early voting, and Taylor was a welcome breeze of fresh air. I stopped in right after opening, and truly appreciated the banter back and forth. I had the street tacos and two different beers. One was the Indian creek IPA and the other wa the West Coast IPA. Both were excellent along with the Tacos. We all must appreciate those who work in any establishment and serve or prepare our food for those mements we don't wish to do it ourselves. I have been to the other White Dog location in Boise and really liked that location and their beer. I went to the location in Caldwell and got their Blood Orange Hefeweizen which I really liked a lot! It was a very tasty beer and I knew it would be since I felt my visit at the other location was such a positive visit. The flavor features with this Hefeweizen are orange, a touch of banana and is fairly sweet. It wasn't too heavy handed in the sweet department however and was well balanced so that was pleasant to experience. read more

Stopped in for a drink with one of my friends, and Shelby was spectacular. She gave great suggestions and excellent service. I had the Indian Creek IPA, which is their most popular and my friend had the Marzen. We shared a pretzel which came with cheese and mustard. My only complaint was the cheese and mustard were a little watery, but they were OK. They had a nice bar and it was spacious with several tables throughout with several TV's. I liked this place and would definitely recommend as I intend to visit again. read more

We have been traveling in the North West watching our granddaughter play collage softball After looking for a pub/brewery to try we found the White Dog. This by far was the poorest service we have every had. The sign says "seat yourself " For 30 min they cleaned glasses cleared 3 tables. They had 1 table eating and about 10 people seated at the bar (some of those turned out to be employees). We had menus in our hands and intentionally made repeated eye contact with all the staff Not once did anyone come to our table. Not for beer, food, or sorry for the delay. Don't go if you care about service, lazy staff who don't care about where they work. We will never know if the food or beer was any good 30 minutes no contact and a half empty place. We've been here a few times with friends with same outcome, so so beer, so so service and okay food. Well, we decided to try this weekend for lunch, first ones in. We sat down, ordered a porter and an order of the jalapeño egg rolls and a bacon jam burger, hold the onions. About15 minutes later the bacon jam burger arrived, onion everywhere and no egg rolls! Found this when driving through and starving. Cool little find with lots of food options. There is a plaza courtyard close if you are in the area for music or things (can't take your drinks out there but they do have a patio area opposite the plaza that's nice). Nice decor right on the creek, the other 3 seasons will be nice for Al Fresco dining and sipping. Smallish menu, whiich is fine with me. The main squeeze and I split a Bison/Kobe beef burger with fries. Nice burger, good flavor and juicy, the toppings were excellent. The fries were outstanding, not real crispy, but firm and fluffy potato inside. Seasoned well, maybe a tad too salty. I had a West Coast and Citraic IPA, good beers. I have the French dip excellent. Great flavor. The waitress said what would you like with that Fry's soup or salad and I said what's your soup and she said clam chowder. I said is it an upgrade and she said no it comes with it when I got the bill they added $2 on for the soup. So be cautious when ordering. This brewery is a 10/5 in every category! We went here on 7/8 for a few beers. I had the marion cider and my husband had the Pineapple IPA. We also ordered a side of fries that were absolutely out of this world. I'm not sure what kind of seasoning they use, but it is truly next level. Their fry size was amazing as well. I gave two stars because I like the cold bar. For starters, seat yourself is not ideal. Service can be slow because they don't even see you come in. Getting the food takes a while, too. The soda does not have ice, which is super weird. Couldn't even finish my glass of wine it tasted like hard liquor. The tacos came out with no sauce on the side. Completely dry. When I asked for sauce and a recommendation on what pairs well, I was given a funny look like it was unheard of to not want dry tacos. The fries could have been good but they were way over seasoned. Atmosphere is cold, loud, and dirty. The manager (I assume) goes around asking if you're being taken care of, which is nice, but she was stepping over napkins on the floor. What a great hidden gem of delicious beers and flavorful food. The maple bacon seasoned peanuts are an interesting journey for sure, give them a try. The selection of beers fit our palette perfectly. I am rating this establishment like a restaurant, but it may have significantly higher popularity as a brew house that serves food. I ordered a High Mark hard cider and it was good; tart, on the dry side and reasonably priced. I wish I could be as enthusiastic about the food. It was Sunday brunch and I ordered the street tacos in grilled haddock. Nice offering with garnished pickled radish and arugula on corn tacos. I'd order it again, but I was surprised that there was no sauce to compliment the tacos. However my wife ordered the backyard burger with specific instructions for the toppings which were not followed so she had to follow-up with the waiter. The patty was unseasoned; no salt or pepper, it was chewy and it tasted like an amateur backyard burger, but for $16, lol. She ordered the White Dog fries as the side for a $2 upcharge but instead was served stale, cold, unseasoned standard fries. The waiter did not follow-up very well but he also had six tables and two people at the bar to cover so that's on management to correct. But then the waiter brought our ticket showing the $2 upcharge. Not sure where the order got dropped but it was not a good showing. Hopefully the restaurant performs better during regular hours. The venue is industrial loft with hard seating and terrible acoustics. Definitely set up more for younger people and not seniors like us. Overall we were not very impressed. read more

This place surprised me. Beer and food was great . Had the sweetest girl as our waitress and was surprised when she said she just started. She's a keeper. There place backs up to the river and other food business down town. Even if you don't drink the food stands alone. The gentleman working the bar and managing seems polite and professional .
