He wasn't pushy, but sincerely wanted to help point me in a more narrow direction to help hone in my search. . As far as their inventory goes, they only sell boats they would purchase for themselves. The inventory screams "picky for quality". While they aren't competitive in price, it doesn't seem like it's because they just have some corner of the market, but because they know what they have, the condition they're in, and because of that they know how best to price them (even if it may be a little higher than the same boat at another place). I think you'll have more confidence buying that boat at a higher price from them than from the other person. Boats can look the same, but definitely may not be. We never ended up buying a boat from Heartland, BUT...we will definitely keep them in mind when/if the time comes for the next or another one.

Rough Water Docks was recommended to us to move the dock to our cove, so we stopped by, told them we needed a dock moved and would probably need mud poles to secure it. Was told we would get an estimate within the next 2 - 3 days. Never happened. Stopped by again... was told we would get a contract within the next few days. Never happened. Stopped by numerous times over the next 2 months, received one excuse after another after another, with nothing happening. I finally contacted another dock company June 30th. True to his word my dock was moved the next Friday, with needed repairs and placement starting the following Monday. Rough Water is the worst in my opinion, with nothing but tap dance excuses and no action.

We've dealt with both Sales (Lucas R) and Service. We have also had interactions with Kyle Kelly. All of it has been really outstanding. They clearly understand the concept of customer service and priority. Recently hauled our boat down for a special repair - Monday AM - left here early - got there at 8:30 - and their service techs were waiting on me. Literally 46 minutes later - I was OUT of there - with FIXED BOAT in tow and headed back to Kansas City - and home by 12:30. Sometimes you run into an operation that "gets it" when it comes to customer service - and they certainly do! They get my highest recommendation and have earned me as a long term customer.

The whole experience was smooth, fun, and exactly what we were hoping for. My only tip, and this is completely on me, is to double-check which location you need to go to since they have two spots on the lake. Once we figured that out, everything was great. Made an appointment to take it back. I told them I wanted to be there when they water tested it. They didn't do this. Assured me it was fixed correctly. Drive home and it was not fixed.
