I am putting my home up for sale and was advised by the realtor that the garage floor had serious problems - numerous and significant foundation cracks, seriously uneven areas, stains and pet odors. I contacted Michael at Premier, and he and Corey responded the next day to visit the home and identify possibilities for repair and diagnose any foundation problems which may have resulted in the cracks as well as methods that might be used to remove the pet odors. They made it clear that their objective was to provide the best service at the lowest cost, which I truly appreciated. Having no knowledge of this area of construction, I feel like I was thoroughly informed of the alternatives. It turns out that the garage floor was improperly installed decades ago, and frost heaves resulted. They advised that the most cost effective alternative would be to jack hammer out the floor and pour concrete for a new floor. To prevent cracks from happening in the future, a frost barrier was recommended. (Ugh! I thought. That's going to be really expensive.) I was so pleased at the quote I received in the detailed written proposal. Work was completed quickly and on schedule. The quality is excellent and well worth the investment. Mike and Corey evaluated the work that needed to be done in the crawlspace under the cottage we recently purchased. It is a 90 year old former camp house on a pond. The crawl space was a mud filled nightmare.They explained all the work that needed to be done and answered all our questions. We just had Premier Basement Waterproofing install a drainage system in our home basement in Rhode Island. We have had water issues from time to time since purchasing the home a few years ago. We initially had another company come out and fill the cracks in the foundation which did nothing to solve the true issue. Premier Basement Waterproofing explained the real issue to us. We were so impressed with the responsiveness of the team and the level of detail that went into the quote. My husband was very impressed with the work itself (a wide deep drain with plenty of gravel beside the footing system of the home). Our house has no bulkhead so the guys had to lug pails of broken concrete and ultimately cement up and down the stairs from within the house. Mike G. I have been in my house for twenty years with a bone dry basement, until last spring. I had about 5 inches of water in my finished basement. I called several different companies looking for solutions to my problem, many did not show up or return calls. Mike at Premier was the only one who actually listened to me! We talked through possible causes and he gave me many different solutions. They did a great job, most important they fixed the problem the correct way, not by putting one of those "cheesy" channels all around the perimeter, but by actually digging down to the bottom of the footing and putting drainage channels into a sump pump. I had Premier Basement Waterproofing do work on my basment and garage the last week in March 2018. They did perimeter drains in the basement and a sump pump and short (7 foot) drain in my garage. They were knowledgeable, competent, responsive and professional through the whole process. Michael was very knowledgeable and straightforward when he came to look at my basement. They were the only company I talked to who would excavate down to the footers to put in the drains. They went above and beyond what the contract called for in my garage and were genuinely interested in helping me solve the water problem there. We have had a few torrential rains, expecially yesterday - Marathon Monday 4/16/18 - and the basement and garage were both dry. Called premier a few years ago to waterproof our crawlspace, have had to call them back a few times for seams leaking and for putting the sump discharge pipe in the middle of my lawn which caused a massive amount of erosion, now after this past few storms more water in crawlspace where seams are wide open. Emailed and the owner was condescending in his response when i told him the sump needed to be moved where most of the water is located and how that would eliviate the issue. Was told i need another sump at xx amount of money, i said no i think current sump just needs to be moved. Owner then snaps back well its the same price. We took quotes from 4 different contractors and Michael listened to our feedback on the initial quote and provided a great solution at an unbeatable price: ~20% lower than the top bid. (We had an unusual situation: our old columns were carrying the loads at T-intersections. He proposed custom-made 8"x16"x0.75" plates to support the loads which look great!) I live next to wet lands and had a water issue. I had a French Drain and vapor barrier installed in 2018 by Premier Basement Waterproofing.
