That's right, they memorize your phone number in their special system so that when you call you don't have to give them your postcode or address. Maybe slightly creepy, but I find it terribly useful when I am in a rush or too drunk to remember this information myself. They've been quick in getting a taxi for us, within 5mins. Though having told us it's a fixed price the driver generally overcharges, saying he doesn't have any change, or just short changing. It's a bit of a lucky dip as to whether you get a relatively clean car, the last one smelt like he'd been chain smoking in the car for the previous hour. This is my local cab company of choice. It was previously known as Defoe Cars, and now seems to go by both names. I don't know what the deal is with that, but they work just as well as before and turn up pretty quickly when asked. Prices are comparable with other cab companies in the area. The cars are pretty clean and the drivers usually friendly. I've only once been driven too fast and flashy; once been subjected to a philosophical monologue on the relative merits of Islam and Christianity; and once had to listen to opera (which was actually very pleasant). Fraudulent service. I wish I could give this company a negative rating but I can't. I booked my trip with payment processed in advance. My booking is confirmed. However, on the day of my trip, I was told that my trip got cancelled by Premier Cars London when I phoned the company 5 minutes after the start time of my trip. Had the most hellish nightmare of an experience. The website asks you to add flight details and desired time for pickup. We asked for a pickup 1 hr after our friends' flights had landed on their website. They sent the driver based on the flight time (which was earlier than the pickup time) and found it convenient to shift blame on us for not repeating multiple times that the pickup was supposed to be at 1:55. This despite us clearly requesting so on the booking form online. When we called them, the apathy shown by the manager Adrian is apalling - it seemed like the only "investigation" he wanted to do was to get their side of the story. What is up with the cab firms in Stoke Newington? We used to always swear by Sam's. Then they where knocked off the pedestal by GS just next door. Then they inherited Sam's crazy driving and we migrated to Premier. But seems they are all on crack. Ok, maybe not fair. We had one bad experience with Premier this weekend and its left a bad taste in the mouth they tend to be good, efficient and reliable. So story goes; five of us pile into the people carrier early on Saturday evening having spent the day painting our new studio. Tired and hungry we realised our pockets were empty and requested a cash point stop which tends to come with a £2 charge. 3 of the 5 piled out leaving the rest to chatter hotair in the back. Within a matter of moments the driver was sparking with anger at the time it was taking and welcomed the cashpointers back with a battery of abuse, speeding off, and near winging an oncoming car. Reasonable request was made for him to calm down and slow down which riled him even further. Result was we were turfed out on the curb to watch as he sped away to a fanfair of car horns. So driver 234, thanks. Straight on the blower we were to Premier who seem to be taking our complaint seriously. This will be their saving grace. read more

5 minutes before the scheduled departure we received a call from their dispatcher saying that as we requested this journey only in the last 5 minutes the taxi will be 15-20 minutes late. The lady started to blame their system then and assured us that we will arrive there in time, and the driver is on his way to pick us up... The driver arrived 30 (not 15-20) minutes later. As we drove off to double check that we are heading to the correct destination we said to the driver that it will be Heathrow T5. Just to mention that, usually the driver should confirm this, but our driver did not even really bother to greet us properly upon arrival... Then he started to argue that he was booked for terminal 4 and we will have to pay more. He ignored our invoice, 34£ with the correct sum and kept arguing continuously while driving more and more madly. Obviously he did not appreciate that we were not those who made the mistake in the coordination of the bookings. We understand that he had to drive fairly fast to get us there in time, but this was insane. Taking over in any lane without using the indicator, crossing solid channelizing lines at exit ramps etc. Most of the time driving 20-30 mph above speed limit. We arrived from N22 to T5 in less than 35 minutes and he even stopped for fuel. We had to pay the increased sum that he was demanding, and were told that we should be happy and he kept saying some further comments from behind the car, but somehow we lost our interest rather cracked on. read more

So disappointed with this 'top of the range' car service. I have used premier cars a couple of times but this weekend has to be the worst experience of them all. After waiting an hour for a cab.....IN THE SNOW! A driver turns up, picks me up, but then returns me to the cab station .... apparently there was a mix up. Not cool as I was then faced with some very unsympathetic men who laughed at giggled at my predicament rather than make an attempt to help resolve my situation. Have just left this same review on google so please forgive me for repeating myself but the message stays the same DO NOT BOOK WITH THESE GUYS! Seriously never booking with these guys again. Booked to go to and from Gatwick as we had two kids in tow. To get to Gatwick the driver was running 20 mins late as he'd forgotten the booster seat needed for the 5 year old. We tried to say where exactly we were standing and told the call center operator to relay the information back to the driver but that obviously never happened. In total we were waiting 40 minutes on the curbside for him to turn up in his 'premier car' with NO air con, NO radio?! How premier is that. Then he tried to drive off when I was halfway in the door, probably to 'make up the time on the motorway' which is what the operator said over the phone. More seriously, we were picked up last night by a better car but halfway through the journey home it was if the driver had forgotten how to drive, I woke up and saw that he was FALLING ASLEEP AT THE WHEEL. The driver told me to wait at the airport and never came back. After standing there for over an hr I had to find my own transportation. I booked a taxi at 4am after a night out with my phone battery about to die. Quite simple instructions. "I'm at the end of Stoke Newington church street near the Robinson Crusoe pub." I waited ten minutes and saw the taxi approach. I made eye contact with the driver and as he pulled up at the traffic lights across from where I was originally sitting I tapped on the passenger side window...he just drove off! There I was stranded at the end of the road, no taxi, no phone and no hope of getting home via automated transport. I walked the half a mile towards the taxi station, ironically being over taken by my taxi (CM05AEF), to find out what had happened. I found three operators lounging around that didn't seem to give a "flying..." the "slightest..." or any type of fark about their driver driving off and leaving me at the end of the road. I was then told "We'll get a cab for you now"...and was told that I would have to pay the same price even though I had the amazing experience of being ignored and overtaken by their driver and also a half mile walk thrown in for good comfort. On the outbound journey to the airport the driver arrived with carseats for my children but for return journey they did not. We had an HORRENDOUS experience with 2 very tired small children trying to find alternative transport which cost over £100 to get safely home more than 2hrs later then planned. Premier then tried to say we didn't book carseats which doesn't make sense given they had them for the outbound journey and the fact that if drivers use their own car seats they get an additional fee which the first driver never claimed! They and have so far refused to refund return journey - despite 3 phone calls explaining the issue and promising to investigate. I will NEVER be using this company again. read more

I was a regular customer for years until a year ago when they failed to pick me up on time and as a result I missed my flight. The whole time i was on the phone with their dispatcher, he kept telling me they were close by and mentioning a street they were on. But 30 mins later the driver showed up and he told me during the journey that the dispatcher was lying and he was miles away. He didn't get the call to pick me up until i called to ask where my car was and he was dispatched immediately when he was supposed to end his shift. Because I missed my flight, I called them at the airport to complain and they said they would refund me. For weeks after my trip, i called to claim my refund but they kept giving me the run around and telling me the owner or manager was unavailable. After a few weeks, I just gave up and decided to claim my 68 GBP a loss. They were reliable for years until that time. I would've been able to forgive them for one mess-up but because they failed to rectify the situation with a refund, I've chosen to no longer be their customer. Used them for a transfer from Heathrow to Paddington and they were great. I was moving and had a bunch of luggage so couldn't take the train even though my new apartment is only a block from Paddington Station. Because I had so much luggage as well as needing to get to work after dropping my stuff off, I needed someone reliable. I was worried there weren't a lot of reviews online for good, cheap Heathrow transfers. Went with these guys because of Yelp and they didn't let me down. When I booked, I was reluctant to pay first because I was what would happen if no one showed up and they had no problems with me paying once I got in the cab. When I arrived, the driver was at the exit with a sign with my name on it waiting for me. Very professional and helped take care of all the big heavy luggage I had. Once in the cab, we called the dispatch, I gave them my credit card number and it was all done. No fuss, no extra charges, no tips asked for. Just nice smooth ride in a relatively new, clean car. Driver's name is Tan and I'll put in a good word for him since he did so well. A normal car is only £38. I had to take an estate car (station wagon) because I had so much luggage but even that is only £48. Unless you're traveling by yourself and are going within walking distance from Paddington Station, book Premier. 2 people on Heathrow Express is already £36 but the car will drop you off at your doorstep. Only thing is if there is bad traffic but at least there isn't a meter that keeps popping if you're stuck. read more
