Yay for $20 haircuts by local Asian aunties LOL. AND she takes card ;u; Ann is a treasure! Good for low-maintenance hair and no-nonsense cuts. I called asking for her earliest availability-- she got me in that same afternoon. Ngl I put off cutting my hair for a year bc I only go to hairdressers who know how to do Asian hair, and didn't want to drive all the way to Dublin or South Bay... Fortunately found Premier Cuts on Yelp only a short drive away. After chatting, I learned that she's been cutting hair for the past 20+ years! The salon is very simple, only has three chairs, though I believe Ann operates solo most days. I asked for layers/trim that kept as much of my current length as possible (around waist-length)-- she got about half right LOL. While my hair is now decently layered and frames my face well, she probly chopped 6 inches instead of 2-3 lol. Oh well. It's about chest-length now, I'll live. For future patrons who might be more sensitive, I'd just be v e r y clear how much you want cut off. She does ask several questions (ie. What style? Wash? Do you want U or V-shape layers? How short?) so it's not like she's not thorough, I think she just has a different interpretation... IMO, still worth as Ann charges very little for a fast, straightforward haircut. read more

Happy with my haircut from Ann. Walked-in at 10am with no appointment and showed her 4-5 photos of layered short to medium hair. I asked to cut my hair at a length that would get rid of any unhealthy split ends. She curled my hair after and was out of there by 10:30am. My hair has more texture and is feeling light. I'm super impressed with this place. No frills, but haircut is fast and looks great! I was a bit hesitant about trying this place because of a previous review saying her haircut didn't match the picture that she showed. But I looked at her picture and I think they did a pretty good job, the haircut looked cute. I'm glad I took a chance because I love my haircut. I had my long hair cut to my shoulders. I have so much more body now with the layers. Price is not bad, $28 for layers. I used to go all the way to Walnut Creek; and it was far and the result was meh. The start of a new year meant time for a haircut! I found this place through Yelp. The location is conveniently close in Todos Santos with 2 hour parking right in front. I called at 9am and Ann was able to get me in at 10:30am. She asked many questions to get my my ideal haircut. Do you want a U or V shape? Do you want layers? How short do you want to get it? I gave a call and she said I could walk right in. It was just this sweet, Vietnamese lady alone in this shop, told her I wanted some long layers, and she went right to work. I think the cut itself took at most 30 minutes. She worked relatively quickly and all my split ends were gone! However, I do want to say that I am not the pickiest person. I went to Premier Cuts to get a haircut since my girlfriend had a great experience here. I called in and scheduled an appointment the same day. They do walk ins but however appointments are preferred. Anh did a great job cutting my hair. She is the owner and runs premier cuts by herself so she is the only hairdresser there. I walked in and showed a picture of the haircut and style I want. It only took 20 minutes and my hair was done to my liking. She did my haircut very carefully and ensure we were on the same page. I am very satisfied with my new cut. I think i finally found a new home for my future haircuts. Overall I am very please with the experience. Found this place last minute before an upcoming trip. Anh is very sweet and skilled! Although you don't get the full service of a hair wash/massage with a cut (which I actually didn't mind since I was in a pinch for time) she did not disappoint! I use to drive 1hr away to specific salons, but I'll continue to give Anh my support for future cuts/trims. I honestly don't understand how this place got such good reviews. I definitely was ready for no frills but I think that she's Asian auntie that only knows one style. She didn't speak much and there was no one in the salon at 3pm. I left with way shorter hair that I wanted and a very blunt layered cut. For being Asian, she's not very good with thick Asian hair. Saw all the good reviews but when I told her I just wanted like around an inch or two cut off, she chopped off WAY TOO MUCH! The service was quick and inexpensive, My only complaint would be that I requested side bangs that started at my nose, and I showed the second photo below as a reference, and I was given actual bangs that were cut above my eyebrows. I'm normally hesitant to get an $18 haircut - I've had my case of bad experiences from uneven cuts, shorter than asked length, etc. I typically go on Saturdays and she's normally busy in the morning until about 3ish.
