ASHLEY of Hair Galore is probably the only person so far that can cut my hair in A-line perfectly. I have gone to many talented hair dressers through the years.. but no one has been able to figure out how to work around the funny shape of my head, the curlicues, my funky part to one side etc.. and make the cut always look perfect. Not to mention to cut it the right length to minimize the double chin situation. A good A-line cut on straight hair with all the above issues is not easy to do ... as evidenced in my lopsided and choppy cuts in the past .. before Ashley. I found this place on groupon. After finding this hair salon, I highly recommend this place ti ladies looking for skilled beauticians. My beauticiab was Mojan, the owner of the salon. She started the salon ten years ago from the ground up. She Is absolutely wonderful. I came in late from work and she still took me. She was very intuitive and picked up very quickly on a style I was looking for: short cut with low maintenance. I love the work she did on me. The atmosphere was very relaxed and comfortable. Just that alone grabbed my attention. It didn't feel like I was in a beauty salon, but like my aunt's house getting made up or something. My husband and I were in northern Cali visiting my cousin and because my cousin suggested it, my husband decided to try her hair cut. Now that we are back in irvine, my husband wants to go back to Mojgan as his to do list next time we are visiting my cousin. What I like about her, is that she is not a snob, she pays attention to details and listens to you. This review is for Marjgon, salon owner. Anyway, I am a hair stylist. I sometimes get a little over my head so I cut my own hair because I couldn't wait and couldn't stand my dead ends anymore. So I cut it and it was super uneven and choppy. It easy for everyone else to get their hair done by me but who's going to so my hair though? I got on yelp and searched for a good salon. I'm really picky about where I go but this one had some good reviews. I came in as a walk-in. I didn't expect much. Marjgon was the only one there. Getting to the haircut: I told her what I wanted. She did a really good job. Just half way through the cut I was already loving my hair. At the end I was really happy. I highly recommend this salon. She is amazing and is super nice. She listens and knows exactly how to achieve the look she is asked of. Not only is she skilled but prices are so reasonable. A women's cut for less than $25??? Many salons charge $50+. But yeah. I have had the worst experience with so many salons until I came here. First all I need to shout out and send a big thanks Tené! :-) I wanted to get help with fixing my long hair that had been cut so bad by a guy at a different salon and when I went to another they attempted but didnt fix it. Mojgan is an excellent stylist, the best I have had!! I have been seeing her for the several months, not only does she do a phenomenal job at cutting, but she takes her time, truly listens to your needs and educates you about YOUR hair including ways to style it, home care products to get the results you want. She is a very personable and easy to talk to, not mention very easy on the eyes and will always fit you in her busy schedule even if that means staying late!! I recently left the salon with the most amazing haircut I have ever had. I sat down, told Mojgan I wanted something new, she took her time to really analyze my facial structure and hair line, I have curly hair, so if it's not cut exactly right, it'll look terrible, not this time though. I wanted something fresh and modern without being to short and I left completely satisfied. I felt compelled to write a review after walking out of there feeling like a million bucks. I called looking for a new hair stylist so wanted to ask a couple simple questions like, do you have any appointments today for a cut, what is your name and do you have experience cutting hair. Firstly,, the woman whom answered the phone answered in a dull monotone and bored voice "hello." I expected "Hair Galore" so I asked her who I was calling to make sure I was calling an actual business. She also did not seem to understand me or communicate very well so when I asked her name she gave me the address. I think she finally said her name was Marsha? I then asked if she would be cutting my hair and I think she was offended that I asked if she had experience because she rudely commented "I have never had anyone ask these types of questions before!" Duh lady - what is your function? I was surprised by her comment so I replied that I had never been there and I didn't know her and my line of questioning should be standard for a hairstyling business. She then accusingly asked me where I heard about them and I said "uh....the internet." I was so turned off by her lack of customer service and people skills I said I don't think is the right place for me and before I could finish my statement she was rudely cutting me off - I hung up the phone. My 92 year old Aunt and a WWll Rosie was visiting from out of town to participate in Concord's 4th of July parade. She wanted to get her hair done the day before, which happened to be a Monday when most beauty shops are closed. I called and Mojgan answered the phone. I explained our need and although the shop was closed and it was Mojgan's day off, she graciously offered to meet us to do my Aunt's hair. This was way above and beyond what I would expect from anyone and to top it off, Mojgan only charged half of what I expected for this special service.
