However, that is no longer happening. You can now schedule appointments online and the phone wait time is not bad at all. The schedulers are pleasant and very friendly. Yes, it takes awhile to get to see the doctor, but they will also make an exception if you can't wait, or if a test result is deemed important to consult with the doctor. They also have practitioner nurses who can care for lesser problems, prescribe meds, and order tests. Overall, I'm certain that your experience with Atlantic Coast Gastro will be pleasant, thorough and caring.

Atlantic Coast Gastro called yesterday saying they didn't have my info and I HAD TO SUBMIT IT TODAY or my colonoscopy would be cancelled. Their emails only had a link to Allied Digestive Health patient portal. My info was all there. Called Atlantic Coast Gastro back to get this cleared up. Got voicemail. Called 4 times over the next few hours, left 4 messages (dialed a few different phone #s). Asked for a call back since ASAP they're threatening to cancel my proceedure. NO CALL BACK. Left work 1 1/2 hrs early to get to the Jackson office before they close at 4. Got there at 3:30 - office is closed (Hours of operation not updated online). Drove to the Brick office and filled out a form with everything already on the patient portal. I was literally shaking with anger, I'd been anxiously trying to get this cleared up for HOURS. Maybe whoever called me from Atlantic Coast Gastro didn't know how to access Allied Digestive patient portal? First day on the job? God knows. LITERALLY GOT A CALL BACK AS I WAS TYPING THIS - because i left a long angry voicemail this morning. Still livid at yesterday's experience, will have to reconsider using this office for next proceedure.

He has been my…read moredoctor for 20+ years and I now see him at his own concierge practice, which certainly is a more relaxed setting where much can be discussed and accomplished during a visit. The unrushed atmosphere is wonderful, and the staff superb. Dr. Carson is highly knowledgeable and up-to-date on the latest meds, conditions, procedures, diagnostics, etc., and readily shares how he determines appropriate treatment. He welcomes patient questions and input. I particularly appreciate that he isn't an alarmist and works with the patient to figure out the optimal approach to address a medical issue. Based on my experience, I wholeheartedly recommend him to others.

Since Consensus Health has taken over this practice, it's become one of the worst and most frustrating places to deal with. Getting an appointment on the website does not work. If you call for an appointment, it's an AI generated system and after five minutes asking questions they gave me an appointment that is two days from now, then it told me there seems to be a problem and the AI system sent me to a voicemail. Someone did call back and I explained what happened and they told me that there is no appointment for that day available. I told them the website shows no appointments through July and I was told that's because we have no appointments... I said I guess I'm going to need to find another doctor and she said OK and hung up on me. The original doctors in the office may be good, but everything else about this place is absolutely frustrating and horrible!!! After getting out of the hospital, I would love to see the doctor that I've been with for over 30 years, but I can't get an appointment, it's extremely sad and frustrating. Sadly, no one in the office except the doctors seems to really care.
