Well I see dr Russell ferstandig. He is AMAZING…read more HE HAS made me feel not worthless and maybe I am worthless something I am PTSD AND GRIEF AND ANXIETY. He is the mind of Dr I know HE change our whole patient Healthcare NOT MONEY WISE SORRY HE IS NOT A POLITICIAN LOL ..I MEAN HOW PATIENTS ARE CARED FOR A TREATED. Doesn't treat you like a animal. Like most Dr's I am new client, but I know he is going to stay my Dr. I AM TIRED of being treated like a animal

Doctor Russell Ferstandig saved my life. This is a powerful and true statement. I was addicted to…read moreopiates, and was putting myself in dangerous situations, doc shopping etc to get what I needed. I was 100% convinced I didnt have the strength, courage or will power to stop taking opiates. That all changed September 7, 2014, my 1st meeting with Doctor Russ. He immediately put me at ease, spent well over 2 hours understanding my situation, and discussing his process and care he will provide to safely get me off opiates forever. I knew I had finally found the right Doctor as he genuinely cares about his patients and goes to "above and beyond" to ensure their success in overcoming addiction. I had met with 3 different, highly rated Doctors in NYC, who spent 10 minutes with me, prescribed Suboxone, with no further instructions or counseling. Each time I relapsed, and fell further into my addiction Doctor Russ explained his process, and the importance of following it for a successful outcome. Additionally he educated me on Suboxone and how and when to consume for ideal results. He coupled medicine with counseling, which was the key to his success rates. He is very humble, and doesnt share that he has the highest success rates with no relapses. He cares more about helping you understand and overcome the reason that lead to your addiction. As our sessions continued he prescribed and anti-depressant as I was in denial of how much my depression was sabotaging my life. As our sessions continued, I realized, he was dedicated to ensuring not only my success in overcoming my addition, but also rebuilding an enriched life. I find it amazing how he is able to remember and build upon each of our sessions. I thank God every day for Doctor Russ. He listens, never judges, provides guidance to build a great life and never watches the clock. I have gone well over my scheduled hour, and never received additional billing, I have been opiate free for 4 years, and continue weekly sessions as they make me a better person. In summary, Doctor Russ saved my life and to this day, provides the incredible insights and counseling to rebuilding a better life and self.

I would NEVER recommend this place. To start I was told they are in network with my insurance…read more Now I find out they aren't and I am stuck with a bill. I never would have went there if I knew they were out of network. My therapist knew nothing about AA even though it is an addiction recovery facility. There is a high turn over of employees as well.

Date: 11/12/24 I strongly recommend that you DO NOT GO to The Counseling Center in Toms River,…read moreNJ. I made a medication management appointment with PNP, Laura Bastone yesterday and it was a disaster! I do not abuse any medications of any kind, but am on psych meds. I asked Ryan Russ, and the head of Praesum Health Care Service LLC Nurse Practioners, Karen Natus to give me some credentials on Laura Bastone before my appt. w/her. They both said they would, but didn't; so they lost credibility with me. I always like to see the credentials of the practitioner who sees me, especially because I wanted someone w/lots of experience. PNP, Laura Bastoned graduated from Monmouth University in 2022. She was a RN for 10 years. She only has 2-3 years tops experience as PNP. I filled out intake papers which took some time to complete, but in none of the papers did it state I needed a Cardiologist's EKG, nor a Neurologist's EEG. I went to see her because my former Psychiatrist, Dr. Alena Antohina with 19 years experience left the company she was working for and moved to a 3 1/2 drive (no traffic) from my home. Laura wanted to change all my medications that my former Doctor prescribed. She also wanted me to abruptly stop taking 2 medications that doctors advise should not be done like that. Cold turkey withdrawal from those drugs can be uncomfortable -- and in some cases, dangerous. She was completely inflexible. I have found another much, more experienced Doctor who takes a completely different approach than her. Again, I would give this place zero stars if the rating symptom allowed it. Don't go there!!

They treated me like a person, not just a patient, which made a huge difference in my comfort level. The medical team was especially outstanding throughout detox and stabilization. They consistently checked in on me, carefully monitored my symptoms, and explained each step of the process so I knew what to expect. Their calm, professional approach helped ease my anxiety and made what could have been a frightening experience feel safe, structured, and manageable. I always felt like my well-being was their top priority. The therapeutic aspect of the program was equally impactful. The group sessions were thoughtfully facilitated and created a supportive space where everyone felt heard and understood. Hearing others share their experiences helped me gain perspective and realize I wasn't alone in my struggles. Individual therapy sessions gave me the opportunity to dig deeper into the root causes of my substance use and begin developing healthier coping strategies. Beyond the clinical care, the sense of community was incredibly meaningful. The connections I built with other clients were authentic and encouraging. We supported one another, held each other accountable, and celebrated progress together. That shared experience fostered confidence and reminded me that recovery is possible. I left the program not only physically stabilized, but mentally stronger and emotionally more grounded. I gained practical tools, healthier coping mechanisms, and a clearer understanding of myself and my recovery journey. Most importantly, I left with a renewed sense of hope and a stronger foundation to continue building a life in recovery.

Unfortunate for them, I have to live beyond their lack of truthfulness so this will be a long long long time getting paid. Life goes on after Haven and honesty is a major factor for me. Be VERY VERY careful. Get it in writing from them that they are IN NETWORK with your insurance. Out - Of- Network is the same as having no insurance because the deductible is higher and most of the billing will be on the patient to pay out of pocket. The facility was great, but I was very specific in stating that I would rather not detox if my insurance would not cover the majority of the bill. I was assured that they ACCEPTED my insurance. They just FORGOT to mention they were not part of my network. And for those saying, why didn't you check. Read up and Read again..,..was headed to detox...??!!@@
