Through adjustments and x-rays, I was well on my way to address my nine neck and back conditions. Try to stay positive. This is indeed a deliberate and proven process that takes time and your committment. The atmosphere here is uplifting! The doctors take whatever time is necessary to address your question and concerns. I feel as though I'm speaking with my friends when there. I'm sticking with this office, go to StretchLab, and see an acupuncturist every week. This combination works for my body. I highly recommend this practice for all your chiropractic needs. I was told that the x-ray would be a $47 "patient special." I went in, talked with one of the chiropractors about what I was dealing with and took some x-rays. Went back a couple days later to take a look at them. It wasn't anything too serious but they proposed a "treatment plan" that was just for me. They gave me 3 different prices that ranged from 900-1200. The prices were dependent on the payment method. If I payed it all upfront it would have been the cheapest price, monthly was in between and then per session was the highest price ($25 per session). It was a lot of money to consider so I wanted to take a day or so to think about it. I said this but they continued as if I had agreed to go through with the whole plan and that I could decide how to pay next time. I then got what I thought was a trial run of the treatment that consisted of a 5 mins massage and then another 5 mins laying on a massage table machine. Afterwards I tried relaying that I wasn't sure about the treatment and that I wanted time to think about it, but the respond I kept getting was "you can decide that next time you're in on how to pay." I was running late for work so I kind of gave up and left. I called back a couple days later and told them I wasn't going to go through with it and the receptionist put the owner on to try and talk me out. He tried to guilt/pressure me but it didn't matter, it was out of my budget. The next week I get a call from the office saying I owe them $25 for the first session that I wasn't even aware of that they charged for. At no point did anybody mention that my 10 min session after going in to look at my x-rays would be charged. They said it was explained to me, I said it wasn't...he said she said. I have no clue if the treatment works, maybe it does but just be aware of the hidden charges and pushy sales tactics of this place.

However, when discussing coverage I was told they were awaiting a reply from my insurance, which took three months; I found that quite unusual. I selected this office with the hopes that Medicare would cover my treatment since they were listed as a Medicare provider and I would be left with the 20%. My disappointment came when I received a bill in which I cannot afford with this option "Please keep in mind that it would be best to enroll in the discount program so it can be applied to the visits that have already been completed." The discount program ChiroHealthUSA requires $49 annual enrollment. Three months later this information was disclosed "Medicare and Medicaid cover chiropractic adjustments only. They do not cover any additional treatments that Dr. Levi may recommend during your visit. If you choose to receive both an adjustment and additional treatment, your office visits would be $25 per visit through our discount program, ChiroHealthUSA. The annual membership fee for this program is $49. Your initial visit would be $195, and re-examinations are $145." Now I see clearly why they did not have the courtesy to disclose what amount Medicare covers and what I would be responsible for on my initial visit. How shameful and deceitful to take advantage of seniors who trust you with their healthcare! I felt betrayed and would like to file a complaint.

As a klutz, I fell and broke and tore ligaments in my foot and sprained my ankle a few months back…read more Someone had told me "if you can walk on it it's not broken" so I walked on it for five weeks before going to the doctor and I learned that no, you absolutely can walk on a broken foot. Pro tip. Anyway. After two months in a boot my foot was worse than it was before (from my perspective) in that parts that didn't hurt before the boot did and of course I'd lost ALL strength and range in it. How much was from the boot and how much from the original injury hard to say. Anyway, it was at this point that my doctor recommended PT and sent me to Optimal. Hadassa took my case and she is great; over the past three months or so she's gotten the strength and range of motion in my ankle back to what it needed to be. I still have some issues with the foot that I think are deeper (pun intended) than what PT alone can resolve so I'm off to get a second opinion on that. But, I highly recommend Optimal if you need PT. I've worked mostly with Hadassa but also with Paula and Nicole, and all are excellent therapists as well as kind and caring people. What really makes Optimal stand out though is the people and the environment. I've been to probably half a dozen PT facilities over the years and as far as I can tell they've all been good at what they do, but not going to lie, it's usually boring as heck doing PT. But you won't be bored at Optimal. There is just something far more *social* about Optimal than any of the other PT places I've been, that's totally separate from the quality of the therapy (which of course is there, and is the most important thing) - but I can honestly say I never *looked forward* to going to PT before. But I've gotten to know the therapists and their assistants and even several of the other "regulars", and now that I've been released I'm going to miss hearing about everyone's adventures. I've learned it's absolutely possible to be both professional in medicine and have fun doing it, so Optimal is going to be my PT of choice next time I break myself. Which, who are we kidding, probably won't be that long since I'm a klutz.

The therapy setting is friendly and the staff knowledgeable and helpful. The therapists periodically reassess clients' progress adding and subtracting exercises to help clients get stronger. Making him our family doc was the best decision we ever made. He is INCREDIBLY approachable; you never feel rushed, he takes the time to answer all questions big and small -- and over all just seems to go the extra mile, and REALLY & TRULY CARE about his patients. PCPs/General practitioner family docs are a dying breed. To find a PCP that is a sole practitioner, not in a large medical group is EXTREMELY rare, if not basically extinct these days. It makes SUCH a HUGE difference to have a doc, where you are HIS patient rather than just another number to a random group practice. The gold ol' days of medicine are almost gone and it is just so amazing that Dr. Maslen is still there. All the pressures in medicine today push, if not force docs to sell their practices and join these large medical groups-- costs, insurance, etc are the culprit here. We are just so thankful to have a doctor that loves what he does and endures the incredible pressures to retain his independent sole practice. Idk.. I will not say that traditional therapy wouldn't have worked, but she felt that the warmth of the water and resistance would make a more gentle experience for me....and she was right! When I injured my right knee.....I did the heat and ice thing, eventually getting it to the point of being able to walk, but it still wasn't right. I happened to remember how great the therapy was, emailed my doctor for a referral and made a pretty quick set of appointments. It's been a month and what I can tell you is that a pretty serious pain is now gone. Naturally, everyone is going to have a different experience with how much time it take to heal, but I am so very thrilled with where I am! Charlie, Ralph and all the other great people there are just fantastic! I would recommend Aquavit to anyone looking for rehabilitation or care for pain. Definitely a happy patient!
