I had my first visit today at the Center for Pain Management on Physicians Drive in Wilmington, and…read moreI've got to say--it was a very positive experience. The facility itself is clean, well-kept, and professional. That might sound like a small thing, but after being sent to other places in the past, it makes a big difference walking into somewhere that actually feels like a proper medical office instead of something run down or questionable. I saw Dr. Sunil Aurora, and he was excellent. Very professional, thorough, and--most importantly--he took the time to clearly explain how the procedure works and what to expect going forward. No rushing, no talking over your head--just straight, understandable information. Right now, we're waiting on confirmation from the VA to approve coverage for four treatments, so that's the next step. But based on this first visit, I feel comfortable and confident moving forward with them. If the treatment side matches the first impression, this is going to be a solid place for care.

He and each member of his staff are all so kind and caring. It's been several months since my treatment, and my mobility has been restored to higher than he thought we would get. I've been singing his praises and recommending him to so many people. Hoping this review reaches a few more! Doc, if you ever read this, THANKS from the bottom of my heart! I've been able to get back into my passion (dog sports) and looking forward to more years of this.

I wrote a review a long time ago. Since then, I began having extreme tooth sensitivity like never…read morebefore. I hate to admit it because I have always been a "clean cut" kind of gal, but I fell into a deep depression three years ago. I started taking all sorts of antidepressants, anti-anxiety meds, weight loss drugs - all on top of years of heavy coffee and sugary drinks. It wasn't until I fell into the deep hole of disposable vapes that doing things like eating popcorn suddenly became excruciatingly painful. Sometimes I would eat an almond and it would feel like there was lightning going all of the way down to the roots of my molars. I am pretty tough, but even after being numbed over multiple times, I could still feel it when dental work was being done. Throughout all of this, Dr. Bland remained patient and continued to check in with me. He could tell if I made a small movement that indicated my discomfort and would see if I needed a break or more numbing relief. Thankfully, I am no longer having any of the sensitivity since I stopped consuming large sums of coffee, sugar, and most especially since I stopped vaping. I love everyone who works with him. The fact that he has people who have been by his side for close to a decade or more really says something about who he is as a person. I have been moving around my whole life and have been to many others. He is genuinely the best I have visited. The office is immaculate, beautifully designed and simply top notch. Plus there is a spa on the second floor that gives great massages. I never thought I would think of a place like this as a little oasis, but I certainly do now.

Would not go through this again, could have just had my teeth pulled and would have been where I am today! Last fitting, was told they could do nothing else for me! I do not recommend!

We had a very disappointing experience with this dental office. Within a month and a half of…read moretreatment, my child's spacer came out twice. We were also told multiple times that certain appointments or repairs would be "no charge," yet the insurance company was still billed afterward. To make matters worse, we took my child to his primary dentist and were told that a filling this office had placed only a month earlier was already loose and about to fall out. The very next day, it did fall out. When I contacted the office, they made him an appointment knowing the filling was out but he was put in for an exam appointment only. I was then told that I would have to make another appointment to actually have the feeling replaced. I understand that dental work can sometimes need adjustments, but having multiple issues in such a short amount of time, combined with confusing and inconsistent billing practices, was extremely frustrating. I would encourage other parents to ask detailed questions about charges and carefully monitor any dental work completed here.

Today, Dr. Danielle and her assistant Emma were phenomenal. They were incredibly thorough, asked personalized questions about my son to tailor their approach, and worked quickly and efficiently. Emma also took the time to go through our paperwork carefully and correct anything unclear. I will absolutely be requesting this team for future visits. My 22‑month‑old left happy and completely unafraid of the dentist. Bonus points to Dr. Danielle for knowing the Duck Song!

Three years later I was contacted by someone named Lauren in their billing collections about an additional $775 that they claim I did not pay. Mind you I have lived at the same address and had not heard from them in over 2.5 years. I had zero idea I owed them more money (so they claim). I spoke to Lauren and told her my recollection and paid bills don't match up with their claims and could they send me back up to support their claims. She said she could NOT do that and that I would have to speak with the office manager named Jennifer. I called the office no less than five times leaving messages (no one picks up over there) asking for Jennifer to call me. She never returned my calls. I have spoken to my lawyer and documented all my attempts to solve this matter so now I feel a bit better but these folks at Carolina Oral & Facial Surgery are incredibly unhelpful and unprofessional and I would highly advise you to stay away and find an alternative.
