Timberline animal hospital in Joliet, fair pricing, excellent pet care and detailed explanations of necessary procedures. Dr. Hitt and the friendly team on staff here care for my pets as if they are caring for their own pets. Bubba

I don't trust this place at all. Bought a puppy at King Neptune's in Shorewood and if you buy a dog there, then you get a free package at Timberline which includes an exam. The doctor there (Roger Hitt) examined our puppy. We were concerned that he was bow-legged but Dr Hitt said No, he is fine.. can't find anything wrong with him. In our first 3 years of having the dog... he has ruptured ACL's on both of his knees... 6 months apart. He's a very cute dog but so many of our friends even comment on how bow-legged he is. I can see why the pet store and this veterinarian are affiliated and must have some kind of deal worked out. As if the vet would not say anything bad about the puppies King Neptune's sells. We feel we were absolutely misled and this was not an honest or professional evaluation of our puppy. Look at the picture... tell me he's not bow-legged.

Thank you Timberline Animal Hospital for taking care of me love Sky

Bought a new puppy that came with services from Timberline. They have been great with shots, neutering, and grooming visits.

Updated again bc the crabby receptionist is still there. I feel no need to elaborate, just talk to her once. You'll understand.

The wait is long, but the doctor is good and the staff is nice. You can't beat the price.

Hitt encouraged me to return to the same clinic as they knew how the procedure needed to be performed.

I've been taking my Isis girl to Dog Dayze for over 6 years now. The staff is always friendly and…read morethey absolutely love my girl. They provide report card regularly and keep me informed of how Isis is doing. I can't recommend Dog Dayze enough!

I wouldn't recommend dogdayze unfortunately. Staff are Really, Really lethargic & grumpy & frankly…read morelazy. I was hesitant to bring my dog here, especially after reading a particularly horrifying review (see one left by CristinaChee on GoogleReviews 2mo ago! She was Totally Right- and the fact that nothing has changed is Very Alarming). The employees just don't seem to care (other than charging you ridiculous fees for simple tasks that they may or may not actually do, e.g., you will book/pay for a nature walk but they will be slow to (or never) post or send photos of actually doing it, really cranky/bad attitudes when you dare to ask too!). They are seriously THE most unhappy looking bunch of people to work at a doggydaycare, it's pretty shocking and pathetic. No one says hello or greets the dogs in a friendly way- and similar to what Cristina described if something goes wrong, NO ONE will contact you!!! They are surly and defiant (and again LAZY) and will lie to your face, zero apology whatsoever. The woman who claims to be the manager is terrible- not friendly at all, comes across as super grumpy, and is on a power trip, verrrry arrogant. I've asked her to contact me about an issue, no phonecall or email reply at all. As they say, crap flows from above- so once you meet her, you are no longer surprised that her workers are similar to her and really, really bad! I really hope there is someone above her/an owner who can actually effect real positive change/replace her and/or them. It's a shame because the daycare's activities sound good online (what attracted me initially) but they're ill equipped and don't do a good job implementing them- like for a costume day they have no props etc on hand (what dog daycare has no fun props/makes zero effort) and when painting while some dogs might have 3 pawprints on their final artwork, another might have half a print, because again the workers are lazy as all get out. Mind you you're paying like $30 dollars EACH for all of this, walks, lick plates, etc.- the LEAST these jokers could do is complete these BEYOND SIMPLISTIC tasks & take care of our beloved pets while doing so. They seem to think they can get away with the "I seem young so it's okay nowadays to be lazy and attitude-y" - umm, think again? We customers don't have to put up w/ it! And fortunately there are PLENTY of other pet daycares that actually care and don't gouge you price-wise. Try and give a darn and care and DO BETTER. (Please note: owner didn't address any of the issues that were brought up in this just defensive reply sigh, includes one I brought up inperson, fact of the matter is staff/manager did NOT have decency to even reach out to me about problems including damage to item my dog went to daycare with, I specifically asked for someone to ring me, no one did even after 2weeks, that's what I realized I had been hoodwinked- everything mentioned true. There is no point communicating to staff FYI, they again Do Not Respond, so bizarre, never experienced that before- totally unprofessional and not the way ones runs a business. And there are most definitely others w/ similar experiences to mine, again please reference earlier mentioned Google review(s), there is absolutely no defense whatsoever to what happened & clearly no changes have transpired since that horrible experience yikes, no apologies given either, just arrogance and lack of acknowledgement of clear problems, so obviously no fixes set up (if you have a camera at frontdesk, review the footage, the staff are NOT nice, NOT friendly, it is a fact- we humans and animals deserve better.)-take care.

I brought my dog here for a follow up (from a previous urgent care visit (different facility) 2…read moreweeks earlier) because he had a ruptured anal gland. I called this clinic to make an appointment and the lady was very nice to me and I was able to get him in....because my dog is a new patient she did explain that there would be a $50 deposit to hold the appointment...I had no problem with that because I found out that it does go toward the final bill of the visit. So, the appointment was set for 10:30...they do expect you to arrive 10 min early....I was actually 15 min early but when I brought him in, they were already expecting him....which I totally appreciated the prompt check in. They checked his weight and escorted us right into the exam room. Kylie (the vet tech) was so sweet! She was so professional and Rocky was very comfortable with her handling him! And Dr. Noyes was great too! She was very knowledgeable and had no problem answering my questions. Checking out was easy and the ladies at the front desk were very nice and proficient. I'm looking forward to bringing my dog here for all of his healthcare needs.

The vet was totally unfeeling! Six months of going back and forth with our cat, who was vomiting…read moreand having diarrhea. Blood test and stool test showed nothing. All the while, the vet offers no hypothesis or plan of treatment. I have to research and ask if this or that could help, or if it was this, what could we do. I got more answers from asking AI than I did from this vet. All she was interested in was running an ultrasound for $430. When I said, " Well, what would that show?" She was unclear if it would help diagnose or treat. Our poor cat was suffering, but I had to suggest different solutions! But she wanted us to bring her in, which further traumatized the cat, every 1 to 2 weeks. For what? The vet didn't offer a solution or even an effective treatment. Our cat went from a chunky 20 pounds to a rail-thin 7 pounds in 6 months! Finally, we decided to end her suffering. She was only 9 years old. Most cats can expect to live 16 to 18 years. Were we treated with sympathy, empathy? No, totally unfeeling. Just wanted to sell this or that to us in addition to charging us $360.00 to euthanize our cat. Never take your animal here!!!
