Company and employees present themselves professionally with clean and tidy uniforms, company vehicles and equipment. They also had good communications throughout our trial period. New customer offer is an excellent value and good test run of the service. Actual service was sub-par with a considerable amount of waste missed and left in the yard. The owner/manager of Pet Butler (Plainfield) has been harassing me with unwanted solicitation sent to my house for the past year. I don't even own a pet and the company even has the wrong person the mail is addressed to. Susan W. does not live here. Since March 2020 of last year, I have emailed them numerous times to cs@petbutler.com and info@petbutler.com to remove me from their postal mailing list and/or marketing distribution list. My most recent email was from April 6th, 2021 this year and still, no reply from company. I even called them and a young lady picked up and said she'll forward my removal request to the "manager" but I never heard back from anyone. I even used my own postage stamps and mailed it to their return address in Plainfield asking them to remove me from their list, to no luck. Pet Butler - I ask you this again and again, please remove my home address from your list and stop sending me Susan W.'s stuff! I am not even a pet owner. I would advise anyone who is considering Pet Butler to reconsider given how they treat non pet owners who simply ask to be removed from their solicitation list and their questionable marketing techniques. They don't return emails or phone calls so is this someone you want to do business with or trust your pets with? Find another company. (Also, if Pet Butler is reading this - please spend a little more money on obtaining better marketing data or perform a data hygiene/cleanse because you're sending solicitation to non-pet owners as well and your names of owners/residents are incorrect, it may make more sense to perform a targeted/segmented marketing campaign and only send solicitation materials to pet owners, not everyone in a certain zip code. I can't recommend this place at all. 1.) Have the scheduled to clean our yard of dog poop on Fridays. They have never made it on a Friday and always have to reschedule. 2.) The one time that they did show up after rescheduling, they missed 2 spots. read more

I shouldn't be this enthusiastic about a dog poop pickup business, but I gotta share the love of Pet Butler. They are reasonable and their communication is stellar. Not only do they communicate if they need to reschedule, but their staff communicate if they can't shut a gate to the yard so that your dogs don't escape. They always show up and do an excellent job. They do a decent job when they show up on time. Like another poster said, I am scheduled for service on fridays but they never show up on friday. They always send out emails saying they are having staffing issues but honestly that's not my problem. It's hard to plan anything around this company since they're so flaky. Been a customer using the poop scoop service for close to a year and my only regret is not hiring them sooner! Always kind and courteous. I caught one of the workers Juan going above and beyond a couple weeks ago. My gate latch doesn't always stay closed so he brought a bungee cord to secure it for me. We've been using Pet Butler for a couple of years now and we are always pleased with the job they do. The price is reasonable and with working two jobs it's nice to have one less thing on my "to do list" each week. If service needs to be postponed due to weather, they always communicate this and let us know when they will be out to make it up. I never really thought of the need for a service to pick up my dog's waste... Until I became a homeowner, noticed poop I was unable to get to immediately. I work longer hours and when I get home and let my dog into the backyard, the last thing I'm thinking about it picking up poop. I got a great introductory rate and I'm not quite sure if I'll continue service after that.. I had requested a Friday pick up, but they said that only Monday was available so that was a little disappointing as if I have people over for the weekend, I end up picking the poop up myself leaving them nothing to do on Monday unfortunately, for that I may switch to another company in the future once I finish the months that I've already paid. Another reason for the 4 stars is that while I understand that it's difficult to find employees right now (i'm in the same boat as well), one week my service got pushed back 2 days from Monday to a Wednesday and then they came back again the following Monday with barely anything to pick up. Also, my last service (I had a string used to open my gate lock) I got a ring on my doorbell that the string broke off, I've lived there for 2 years and the string wasn't an issue so I'm not sure what happened with that but I ended up having to get it replaced and fixed to allow entry into my backyard again. We have 2 Greyhounds and due to a lot of stuff happening in our lives we needed to get "caught" up on poop patrol from the winter and early spring. I contacted Pet Butler and was surprised with the initial pricing for spring clean up and 6 weeks of service after. It has been great to know that each week it is taken care of. Pet Butler has been doing great for us. We switched over from another service that had a really difficult time keep a regular schedule and notifying us of service changes, and they charged more on a monthly basis. Not only that, the previous service missed a lot of obvious "things". I like that we get emails from Pet Butler for service changes/interruptions and that a text is generated when the service starts work in our backyard. The folks they send around are very conscientious and do a really good job cleaning, they don't miss much at all. Outside of some weather issues, we haven't had any issues with making regular appointments. They make sure the fence doors are closed and locked. Whoever their driver is in the Joliet area in Neufairfield subdivision, needs to learn how to slow down. When you can hear the vehicles engine from a black away because he's smashing the gas, that is probably too fast for a neighborhood. I'd never use them based on this. read more

Last week they spent all of a minute to a half cleaning a very small section of our yard, where our dogs are let out. Granted the grass was fairly long but I went out to look and found plenty of "stuff" that could've been cleaned up. Had the service for a few weeks and cancelled. Pretty sure they only came to put a sticky note up on the door stating they cleaned the yard and never actually cleaned up poop. The first week was fine. The next two weeks there was still a bunch of dog poop in the yard right after they left. They would not issue a refund and when you call asking for a manager, the manager will not return your phone calls. I do not recommend this company. :( read more

What a great service, no more squabbling with others as to whose turn it is to clean the yard - it's already done! Really not impressed with this service. I signed up when they were running a special - 8 weeks for $6.99 a week. They charged me $35 for an initial clean up - which was sort of a joke considering I had been cleaning up after my dogs already. They did this initial clean up and totally skipped a whole area of my yard. They did come back to do it again though. Then I should have had eight weeks of service but I only received six. Also, the service was subpar. At first, I would complain and let them know they missed areas again but after a while it felt futile. I had a pet waste service and yet I was still continuing to clean my yard up after they would come. I watched the employee work once - he was just wandering around my yard. Not walking in a grid as they claim to do. He spent all of 15 minutes doing this ... again I went outside and cleaned up my yard myself. What a complete waste of money. I do not recommend this company at all. I see the other reviews state they got a text and a sticker left ... not me. Not once. Whomever they have in the Westmont area is not doing a good job at all. read more
