Well fate had it that I fell in love with the owner of a Wooly Husky. I had to stop grooming myself due to severe asthma that sent me to the er multiple times. It was difficult because I absolutely loved grooming. Hard work but rewarding. Still I took my dog to a self serve dog wash but the dryers can barely blow out a candle let alone a hairy husky. I had a friend of mine groom her in the fall and between October and yesterday her coat got out of control. So tail tucked between my legs I brought her into Blooming Tails. These girls are real and I could tell that helping my dog feel more comfortable was important to them. She's a fire cracker for brushing her back side yet they carried on. When I picked her up she looked like a new dog and I felt so much better knowing she can be more comfortable in this summer heat. All of my messages have been polite and friendly (despite a complete lack of response). My only request was to let me know if they were accepting new clients or not. While this business owner could not spare 30 seconds to send me a short response instead of ignoring all of my calls and messages for the past 3 weeks, they found the time to respond to my Google review with an unprofessional and condescending message within 1 hour of me posting it! The fact Ruthie responded to my review within the hour I posted it, but she couldn't send me a simple text message (or return any of my calls) for THREE WEEKS blows my mind. As a small business owner/operator of numerous service based businesses (including ones in the pet industry post COVID), I fully understand how busy it gets as a solo operator. However, there are things you can do to provide a better experience for your potential clients instead of ignoring dozens of their calls and messages for nearly a month (and then immediately leaving a sassy reply to their review). I see that Ruthie has a habit of posting rude replies to her clients who leave a critical review saying she doesn't care what they have to say. If she is not worried about her reviews online or the lack of customer service she is providing to her potential future customers, then perhaps she should stay off of social media and update her voice message to say she is not accepting new clients - problem solved.

The waiting area was a little dirty, but whatever, there are dogs in and out all day. The second time we showed up for our appointment and they were closed. There was a sign on the door that said there was some issue with their water. Okay, things happen and you can't wash a dog without water. But I didn't receive any notice about this. They send me confirmation emails and text for an appointment but couldn't shoot me another text telling me they didn't have water? So I drove across town with two barking dogs for nothing. The third time was today. I was running late getting my dogs in the car. They're Yorkies, so it's not a physical issue, they just didn't want to cooperate. I arrived about 12 minutes late for a 12:00pm appointment. Gave the name of our dogs and apologized for being late. She told me it was too late because they don't take late appointments after fifteen minutes. She said it was. I said it is NOW because we've been talking for 3 minutes but she wasn't having it. Told me she couldn't manage to wash and groom my two small dogs in an hour and 45 minutes...so I just walked out. He didn't want to make $100 because of 3 minutes. I guess 1/3 isn't too bad, but I don't have time to deal with that level of nonsense. If you do, good luck to you using these people.

We brought him to The Dog Wash for the self service wash today and honestly had so much fun! The owners are so sweet and helpful, and Auburn did such an amazing job cutting our anxious dog's nails. They provide everything from soaps to scrubbers to aprons to towels, even lifting help if you have a big guy like we do. The stations are super clean and well stocked. They even gave him a cute bandana on our way out! And at $10 for a wash and $5 for a nail trim, it was a steal! This will definitely be our go to spot next time Mackie needs a spa day :)

I scheduled an appointment that was booked over a month out but one early morning, the owner texted me saying they had an opening that morning so I was able to get my dog in to get a cut that day. My dog gets nippy during bath time so I warned them and they requested I bring a muzzle. The muzzle I got wasn't the right fit so they ended up using one of theirs. I'm so glad to have found a place that does a good job and most of all accepts my dog. The owner said that they're used to dealing with the difficult ones. I highly recommend this dog spa.
