China Super Buffet - Mongolian BBQ sushi

For one thing there is Mongolian barbecue. If you want hot, freshly cooked food, take that route. You also have decent quality sushi. But fried things, like french fries, are always cold. This is a place you go to if you want to eat seafood, meat, and vegetables. For a Chinese buffet, this one is definitely well above average.

The prices were surprisingly reasonable for what you get: * Lunch Buffet (Mon-Fri): $16.99 * Dinner Buffet (Mon-Fri): $20.99 * Weekend & Holiday Buffet: $20.99 * Drinks not included For the price this buffet is one of my favorites to bring the eating machines I call sons. We arrived right when they opened, and that was definitely the move. Everything was hot, fresh, fully stocked, and looked like it had just come out of the kitchen. The selection was huge. There was sushi, teppanyaki, soups, seafood, Chinese dishes, American comfort food, pasta, pizza, salad, 3 different soups, soft-serve ice cream, fondue, and desserts. The seafood section alone had enough options to keep me busy for several trips. The only thing I wish they would improve is labeling the food. With so many different dishes available, it was hard to tell exactly what some items were without asking. The buffet line was constantly restocked and upkeep. What really stood out was the service. Our drinks were consistently refilled, empty plates disappeared quickly, and the staff never made us feel rushed, even when we stayed a while sampling everything. They were attentive without hovering. We even got fortune cookies at the end. Overall, if you're feeding a family with growing teenagers who eat like competitive athletes, this place delivers a lot of variety for the price. Come hungry and pace yourself--you'll need a strategy to make it through all the options. Great value, friendly service, and enough food choices to keep everyone happy.

If you're looking for a wedding experience that is beautiful, seamless, and virtually stress-free,…read moreI cannot recommend Abbey Catering & Events highly enough. From the moment we booked their all-inclusive package, the planning process became incredibly easy. Abbey has built an outstanding network of top-tier vendors throughout San Diego, and every single one exceeded our expectations. Our wedding coordinator, David Robertson, guided us through every detail with professionalism, patience, and genuine care. He made us feel confident and prepared every step of the way, allowing us to truly enjoy the experience instead of feeling overwhelmed. DJ Abel did a fantastic job with both the music and audio setup, ensuring everything flowed perfectly throughout the ceremony and reception. Our photographer, Misha Rockova, was incredibly professional, organized, and wonderful to work with. She made everyone feel comfortable while capturing every meaningful moment. The cake from Sugar Bears Bakery was absolutely delicious, and our guests are still talking about the food catered by Abbey. Everything was beautifully presented and exceeded our expectations. The florals from Emerald & Ivy were beyond gorgeous. They transformed our backyard venue into something even more beautiful than we had imagined. The bartender was exceptional, and every member of the service staff helped make the evening feel warm, polished, and truly special. Their attention to detail and hospitality did not go unnoticed. What impressed us most was how effortlessly everything came together. Every vendor worked seamlessly as a team, and we never had to worry about a thing on our wedding day. We were simply able to be present with our family and friends and enjoy every moment. Our guests repeatedly commented on how elegant, tasteful, and well-executed the entire event was. It was everything we had hoped for and more. Abbey Catering & Events gave us a wedding day that will forever be etched in our memories. We are beyond grateful to everyone involved and would wholeheartedly recommend them to any couple looking for an unforgettable wedding experience.

From the start Will, who signed us up, was most helpful and really knew his information. We clicked instantly and it was such a pleasure to talk with him and meet him in person. We signed up for the tasting before signing with Abbey Catering and that was such a great experience. We got to meet Will in person and there was so much food to try and luckily bring home. After meeting Will we really had a great feeling and signed up within that week. The food was incredible at the tasting, and it was hard choosing which entrée and hours d'oeuvres to choose from since everything was so good. Chuck, our wedding coordinator, was beyond great and so helpful. He was such an asset to have on our side and really made the day go smooth. He was also so friendly and great to work with. We really felt like we made friends with our Abbey team There were absolutely no hiccups whatsoever and I was so calm the whole day. David, our catering lead, was another amazing team member. He was right there to offer us food first and make sure we had enough of our share. The rest of the catering team always made us a priority too and I was very hungry after the ceremony in between pictures so that was so great. We ordered the following for tray passed hors d'oeuvres: petite beef wellington, wild mushroom arancini, bruschetta, and bacon wrapped stuffed dates. We opted for the dual entrée of the boneless short ribs, and the panko-herb crusted chicken with vegetables and the truffle smashed potatoes. All were so good and I wish I could eat them all again Our guests could not stop raving about the food. They even made dietary restriction meals for several of our guests, and they said it was one of the best vegan/vegetarian meals they have ever had. We really were impressed with the food and so glad we went with Abbey as that was important for us to have really good tasting food. We opted for the whole package with their vendors for flowers, DJ, photographer, and cake. Best decision ever!!! We had Emerald and Ivy for the florist and my goodness Mishele, and the Abbey team put together exactly what I pictured in my mind! Such beautiful flowers and we rented bud vases and candles from her. DJ Abel from the Wedding Entertainment Collective was beyond amazing! He played our songs and knew the vibes we were going for. The dance floor was a hit, and our guests were dancing the whole night. Everyone was telling us the DJ was so good! Misha, our photographer, was amazing and made us feel so comfortable. The pictures are so beautiful! The cake and mini cupcakes from Sugar Bears Sweet Provisions were out of this world! I'm so glad we saved our wedding cake because we ate it the next day. Our guests loved the mini cupcakes too and we even had enough to give out at treats and take home. We really are so grateful we decided to go with Abbey catering. They really went above and beyond. The whole team, Will, Chuck, David, and the caterers were 10 out of 10 Thank you so much and to the Abbey vendors for making our day even more special!

Dream Fountain Catering was the first place and upon entering, we were immediately welcomed by Martin. He was fantastic in explaining all the details and how everything worked. Martin understood what we were looking for and made countless suggestions to help us with other ideas. Although we were customers, Dream Fountain Catering made us feel like we were friends and their goal was to ensure complete satisfaction. We decided to cancel our other visits and hired Dream Fountain Catering. We always had an idea on how we wanted our cake to look. We showed Martin and his brother a photo of the desired cake. We could not believe the outcome. They made the cake better than the photo! It was the highlight of our night. The desserts, tiramisu and lemon pistachio cake were delicious and their presentations were beautiful! Dream Fountain Catering ensured we didn't have extra stress on our end as they took care of it all! Thank you for everything! 10/10! You will not regret booking these guys for your events.

We ended up getting some cannolis and some baklava. The baklava itself was yummy. Flaky filo dough and tons of pistachios. The cannolis were not the best I've ever had. The shell was soggy and the filling was not the authentic cannoli filling I was craving. The bakery is super small inside. They have a great coffee menu that I will definitely check out next time. They offer catering and the cakes they had in the fridge looked beautiful! Service was very welcoming and friendly. I would definitely come back for some baklava!

THE GARDEN @ SDSU…read more Parking is available at P3 or P4, and there's a small fee you can pay through SDSU parking. It's only about a four-minute walk, super close. This restaurant is all-you-can-eat and is located right above the sophomore building, Cuicci! I've been to The Garden a couple of times since my freshman year, and honestly, it's a hit or miss. The food selection is very wide. You've got your basic comfort items like pizza, chicken nuggets, and fries, but then they also switch it up with special cuisines. Last time, they had stir fry, corn, Mexican rice, tacos... so it really depends on the night you go. What I personally love most is the variety, especially the salad section. Coming from a culture that doesn't always prioritize veggies, I really appreciate that part. The bakery/dessert section, though... it's honestly the worst every single time. Every cake I've tried has been super dry and flavorless, almost like it's been sitting in the fridge forever. They used to have a soft-serve station, which I really hope is still there because that one was definitely a fan favorite. Overall, the experience is great if you're a student. I'd recommend stopping by at least once. I think it's around $21 on a meal plan to get in. The staff are very friendly, everyone serving is nice, and the ambiance is your typical modern all-you-can-eat setup. It's nothing super renovated or fancy, but they do have a balcony where you can sit outside, which is a nice touch.

They still have a calendar from January on there. Just terrible and if you're teaching kids how to run a restaurant this is pathetic.
