They walk you thru the entire process, learn more about you to give you the best recommendations and experience, they were SO sweet especially at the tasting and made sure we weren't "cheated out" of anything (especially bc we didn't know we needed to necessarily ask for certain things at tasting), and let's take a moment to talk about the event prep and the event itself. I have used MCC 3 times now. I have worked with Eva, Leo, and Liz and all three have been super friendly and helpful. The first time I used them was for my wedding at the flower fields in June of 2023. Everyone loved it and they made it so easy for wedding planning. No stress at all with them. My coworkers that were at my wedding loved it so much they wanted them to cater our holiday party. So we hired them for our holiday party in 2023. Again, we loved them so much we hired them for our holiday party in 2025. We ordered the same thing all three times. The trio tacos (comes with toppings and salsas, cheese enchiladas, fajitas, rice, beans, chips, ceviche, rolled tacos, quesadillas, horchata, and churros with ice cream. Happy Taco Tuesday! We tried MCC food truck at Belching Beaver. It's not always the same food truck on the same day of the week, and there is another Mexican food truck that rotates there regularly. We've tried both, and MCC is by far the better one. Tacos and fajitas were tasty. My favorite was the al pastor. I would give zero stars if I could. We hired Mexico City Cuisine for my daughter's wedding, and as a "catering" company experienced with weddings, we negotiated additional services, including setting up chairs on the ceremony lawn, tables and chairs on the reception lawn, and cake cutting service. They arrived on time, but the team lead, Betty, argued with our wedding coordinator about the additional services that they were employed to perform. To begin, they had to be told to set up the ceremony lawn, and Betty considered their work to be complete once the chairs were brought to the lawn and opened. Our coordinator, in her formal wear and shoes, was forced to troubleshoot and stage the chairs appropriately. Then, we paid food service per guest, and we were billed for 66 guests. (We were also billed for Mexico City Cuisine employee meals, which I found to be unprofessional for a catering service). We had 50 guests at the reception, including our photographer and our DJ, yet we were not given any food to be taken home. (We we later told that we "didn't request the leftover food.") Again, we paid for the food, so I was flabbergasted that we had to request the product that we paid for (?). During the cake ceremony, the caterers were nearby, breaking down their food service trays and tables, which was a distraction to this beautiful wedding tradition. Again, the team was not "aware" that they were to perform a cake cutting service, nor were they trained. The cake cutting was sloppy, the slice sizes inconsistent, and the forks were stuck into the cake and served sticking straight up! This was wedding cake! But the worst part is yet to come. Once the event ended and the guests left, Betty told our wedding coordinator that the team was not going to be breaking down the tables and chairs. I was pulled away from my mother-of-the-bride duties, as she was demanding payment from our coordinator. When I arrived to Betty, invoice in my hand, clearly stating that the team would remain until the end of the event and assist with final clean-up (picture attached below), she was on the phone with her "boss," Leo. (I knew Leo, because he made the wedding tasting a nightmare on my daughter the week she flew down from Seattle to try the menu. Two times he tentatively scheduled a tasting, and both times he cancelled. I tried to convince my daughter to cancel this caterer all together at that point, but it was so close to the wedding that she was afraid she wouldn't find someone else.). I was put on the phone with Leo, and while I explained the issues from the beginning of day, Betty was standing next to me calling me a LIAR!! I responded to the name-calling that she had just forfeited her gratuity. Once they finished their commitment, I gave the two younger team members their gratuity (it wasn't their fault they were stuck working with an unprofessional caterer). Betty attempted to intervene and prevent these two employees from receiving their gratuity from me. I gave Betty's gratuity to my wedding coordinator, who happened to be a fluent Spanish speaker and understood all the negative talking that was taking place behind her back. The next day, my daughter called me to ask what had happened with the caterer. This was the final straw. My daughter, a newlywed, who my wedding coordinator and I worked tirelessly to shield from Betty's unnecessary unprofessionalism on her special day, was now aware that there were problems. This is when I learned that Betty was a partial owner of the company, and her version of events did not align to either mine or the wedding coordinators, to whom my daughter also spoke. Mexico City Cuisine's solution? To offer my daughter catering if she has a baby shower! I can't make this up. DO NOT USE THIS "CATERER" FOR A WEDDING!! Please respond to me here on Yelp if you'd like any further information. Edited to add: Racism is a pretty strong accusation. I'm glad you brought it up. It's bold that you're projecting your staff's racism towards our wedding coordinator as our racism towards your staff. When Betty speaks in Spanish negatively about her, failing to realize that she is a fluent Spanish speaker, and when Betty yells to you that I'm a liar while I'm speaking to you on the phone, and when you confirm to me that you hear this as I ask "Do you hear Betty calling me a liar?"....your response to my review just proves that you refuse to take accountability for your business's shortcomings. read more

From our tasting to our reception, the MCC staff was amazing! So friendly and helpful at every turn. The food was great and our guests raved about it. We discussed leftovers before the event and they asked us to just bring our own containers and they would fill them up. When I heard that Mexico City Cuisine would be catering at a recent Brewventure I did not know what to expect. Would the specially priced giant $5.00 burritos come with meat products in them? I pondered eating before, thankfully time got the best of my day and I arrived with an empty stomach. The brewery was abuzz with people raving about the food. I went to find out if their menu catered to my finicky diet. I asked if there were any vegetarian options and they could not have been more accommodating. Mexican food is like building blocks, add a little beans, a bit of cheese, some rice, you know the drill. But what made Mexican City Cuisine stand high above most Mexican foods is that they truly care about their clients.
