I had a terrible experience with Premier Pools & Spas. They subcontract everything with little to no supervision. Their crew broke a gas and water line, and I was told to fix it myself.l, after i constantly told them before they were there before signing contract and before job started.The project manager never showed up except to collect payment, and they won't even attend the final inspection. Extremely poor communication and zero accountability. I would not recommend this company. Never had a final in person walk through with project manager or company manager, for such a size project for homeowners. Unfortunately, based on my experience, I will not recommend Premier Pools & Spas. You also never mentioned to me, prior to excavation or even before I accepted the project proposal, that I needed to hire a plumber to handle or standby for possible gas or water line issues. What was communicated to me was that your team was aware there could be unknown lines and that caution would be used during excavation. Our pool installation finished on September 6, 2023. I've since wanted to leave this review many times. We love having a pool and even have a family member building their pool through Premier by our reluctant referral. It's important to know Premier is a company that farms out all the work to their contracted vendors. The quality control through the process of hiring those vendors could use improvement. We experienced dishes, lunch trash leading to ants, scraps of metal wire (we still find it today) and at one point, days of a cigarette smoke smelling home. What drove down my review was the quality of the concrete. Posted as much as I could from start to finish and 1 photo of what it looks like today. We seen our project manager between the 1st inspection and the plaster day, I expressed my concern over the dark spots in the concrete and I was told by the project manager, " They would disappear over time". It was the 1 year anniversary of our fill up that I finally admitted to myself that he lied to my face. Today the concrete looks horrible. read more

They are horrible at service and work completion took forever. They sub contract their plumping and electrical and tried to do some "Mickey Mouse" work . If it wasn't for me bringing a real contractor to check their job I would have been left with some very bad work. Job supervisor was never there to check on the job and tried to make adjustments on the plans w/o any approval. You're better off going with someone else. It had been a little over three years and I am beginning to see the effects of the terrible work that was performed by this company. I would like to invite the owner to come to my place and tell me to my face that the work performed was his example of great, or even good work. Here is a photo of the jacuzzi they built, this part gets zero usage as people do not sit nor put weight on this part of the jacuzzi and yet it is falling apart. The cement used in and around the jets too has deteriorated. I have wanted to update this review for a while but Pandemic and other things have been getting in the way. As I cannot reply to your messages directly, I will update this review. No. Normal wear and tear would not cause the flagstone to deteriorate on a part water does not in fact touch. Now I understand why your employees at that time would bounce the responsibility to others who were subcontracted by YOUR company. You echo the same type of excuses they did while the pool build was ongoing. You just put the lack of drain on someone who was hired by YOUR company to install. How is it possible this is an acceptable way to run a business in this way!? You sell a product to a consumer in your case a pool build, you hire all the people involved because this is YOUR business - I WAS NOT IN ANY WAY INVOLVED IN THE VETTING OR THOSE SUB CONTRACTORS NOR WAS I IN CHARGE OF HIRING ANYONE INVOLVED ---That Sir was YOUR/YOUR COMPANY's responsibility. You are now just passing the buck - like your employees and project manager did at the time of my pool build. Your subcontractors did in fact install drains, I can share photos with you. I did not have to hire anyone for this since I hired YoUR company for a complete pool build. Nice try diverting me to a line item in the contract. I will let the photos speak for themselves moving forward and upload more. Other issues I have had: Had to replace the Dell Ozone component THREE TIMES! They built us a beautiful pool but both project managers we worked with were uncommunicative. Neither of them responded to simple requests such as giving us a heads up when subcontractors would be showing up to our house. We also have yet to be able to heat our spa because the plumbers they hired let glue drip into the heater so we have to wait for a part to be replaced. read more

Every time Dennis came to my house and talk over plans for my yard, he would & leave without leaving a drawing for us to look at ! So we didn't feel we could comfortably make a decision unless we had a drawing ! He said we could pay for a 3D design!!! But no Evan a simple drawing unless we paid for a design ! So ridiculous ! So because he simply could not give me a design for us to look ! (especially since my husband was working a lot it would've been nice to have a drawing room what we were discussing !!! Then it's like he was off the grid didn't hear from him for months!!! No one ever called us to inform us of anything !!! I never received a call from the Franchise or anyone !!! When finally got ahold of Dennis, we made an appointment for noon to meet at his office. He told that would fine. We texted him that we were on our way & we got no response !!!! We Arrived at his office & no one was to be found anywhere !!! Called the office & answering service was also Dumbfounded !!! Dennis made no attempt to leave us a message, that he would not be able to meet !!! I would never recommend or deal with this so called company that infact, is only father and son from a franchise !!! I can not believe how unorganized & unprofessional they were !!!! If I could give a zero, I would. If things change, I will update. Had an apt. set for over month. The confirmation email was sent with our proper address and ZIP Code. Salesman comes out a little early, but that's ok. Salesman then proceeds to tell me that this is not his area of operations and there's nothing he can do. Didn't give me any other options or any explanations and drove away. The lack of professionalism right out of the gate with Premier pools in Ontario is astounding. The ladies in the office were very nice when I called them to find out what was going on. They mentioned that this is their area of operations and were confused as to why he would say and do that. Our salesman Michael was amazing!! He came out to our house listened to what we wanted for our very first pool and designed a masterpiece!! We ended up signing up during the pool days sales event and we're able to upgrade our lights and add a second pump for the water features. I highly recommend getting the pebble tec rather than regular plaster. Our pool has a lagoon look which is exactly what we wanted!! The project manager Joe was at our house almost everyday watching over every aspect of the installation. Joe was super helpful and things couldn't have gone better!! Be sure to seek at least 3 pool companies before choosing Premier Pools. We didn't, since during our meetings with Dennis, he seemed to be a professional in the business. In the end, we are pleased with our pool; however, if you run into any issues, be prepared to handle them on your own as you will deal with resistance. Our major concern was that they contract with low quality companies that take no responsibility for their actions, in the meantime, you're paying a hefty price for your pool. The plumbers ran into our wood gate with their tractor, the plaster company placed chemicals on a section of our newly laid lawn that is now dry and we are trying to re-grow, and the tile on the spillover, which had 4 days to dry in 95 degree weather, fell off 2 days after filling the pool (fotos attached). The fence and tile, which should have been repaired immediately, were repaired after final payment. Initially, I was told I would have to work with the plumbers myself to repair the fence, until we struggled to ensure they handle it. There was no attempt to offer anything for our damaged lawn. In addition, a step into the spa was never discussed during our design period. Thankfully, we caught it on time before masonry and, with Michael's help we had one installed; otherwise, Justin was simply telling us that we would have to contact the masons to get it done and pay for it ourselves. Again, we are happy with our pool, but advise that you seek other companies that contract with reputable companies that don't leave cigarette buds and that don't damage your property and simply walk away. read more

Derio was our original project manager but then Josh took over as PM. Josh was awesome and on the ball. Kept me up to date with everything. Jesse was our salesman and designer, he did a fantastic job explaining the process and providing his expertise when it came to colors, design and product selection. Very good communication as well! All of the subs they worked with were professional, respectful and engaging. They even took the time to show our young twin boys the heavy equipment which thrilled them. My pool created by premiere was powered up around January of 2020 I'll start with the Cons as these are the reasons for my rating. Cons: 1. During the design phase, the salesman lacked the ability to draw out the pool. I drew what I wanted on paper first. The day of the dig I was scrambling because I didn't have an accepted design. I moved the stakes around the day of the dig to get my design created. Technically I did the engineering of the pool and was charged for it. 2. I repeatedly asked the salesman if the lighting was adequate. He said yes. I added another light but felt like I needed more lights. He assured me that this was more than enough lights. He did not use any lighting engineering software or lumen calculations. He assured me that the lights were very bright. After my pool was powered up I was completely disappointed with the illumination. There wasn't enough lights at all. I then went to the manufacturer's website and saw that they have lighting calculators and their examples of pools had much more lights installed. I wish I would have seen this ahead of time, I would have added about 6-7 more lights 3. I was told that they would install color changing lights. The system was installed using antiquated technology where the lights have to flip on/off to reach a certain color. I thought that the lights would go directly to the color and have smooth transitions like other pools that I've seen. 4. I didn't see the waterslide/grotto until' they were installing it. as this was extremely expensive, I would have made it a bit bigger. While installing it I asked if the slide could be taller and I was told no. I've seen a taller rock water slide after and wasn't provided with a reason. 5. The Water slide and waterfall were piped together. The pump does not have enough power to use them both simultaneously. I wanted to add another pump and saw that I couldn't since they were piped together. The size of the inlet prevents me from putting a larger pump on the system so I'm stuck with a waterfall/grotto that I'm not completely happy with. 6. The Rockwork started calcifying before it was powered up. I was told that they would come repaint it but that never happened. Even after asking. 7. The valves installed on the rockwork were the cheapest available. These valves are commonly known to stick and break. They were stuck before even being used. Since the system isn't powerful enough to handle the slide and waterfall simultaneously, I need to frequently adjust these valves. They are not only too hard to move but feel like they are going to break in less than a month after installation. 8. I wanted jets on each wall of my spa. They said that they could only install 6 jets. the jets were staggered but on one wall they are way too low. After this was built I met someone with 27 jets on his spa. I was upset because I wanted my spa a little larger and with more jets. 9. After the state approved the final permit, Premiere didn't send anyone to verify satisfaction nor pick up the permits. I sent a photo of the final signature and that was it. I sent messages with my concerns, was told that they would check it out, and no one ever came. What sucks is that it would be difficult to add more lights at this time as they would have to crack through the pools shell Pros: 1. Premiere used thicker and larger rebar which adds to the strength of my pool. 2. Premiere used larger pipes which enables the system to move more water and helps with maintenance. 3. The main guy who oversaw the building of the pool did go over and above to ensure that the features I wanted were included as the salesman undersized the system for the features I requested. Overall: I like the design that I created. I'm extremely disappointed with the illumination and the lighting technology. I'm pleased with the plumbing as I haven't had any issues with maintenance. For the pool size, it should have had an additional skimmer. I think the salesman was an armature when it came to this. If there was more illumination (which was a primary concern of mine), and if the waterslide and waterfall were at least piped separately, I believe that I could have given a full 5 starts. I think that it would be important for new salesmen to have their work looked over by someone who has been there for a while. read more

5 stars for this company, we had a tight budget and high expectations and this company came through. Took a little less than four months from start to finish for a pool spa combo. Their salesman Eric Crawford is a landscape designer who gave us the mid-century classic design we wanted and kept to the budget we wanted. Their superintendent project manager Mike Brady was honest, reliable and with us every step of the way. We received multiple quotes and no one came within 25% of the price we received from premiere. There were a few steps along the way we could have upgraded with tile and concrete work but we held to our original plan the the cost of the pool was exactly what we were quoted. A pool project is a messy kinda scary ordeal for the homeowner but I was happy that Eric and Mike were always at a click of the button away.
