I READ ALL THE REVIEWS AND ACTUALLY I FELT QUITE SAD.. We started out being very happy with Glen. He seemed to be honest and concerned about what we actually needed. It's been well over a year since pool was completed. They did not keep their part of the deal. I did'nt write down all the details but i have saved all my text. We were promised many times about showing up. Time after time for some reason it was cancelled..some for weather, some for vacations. At the very begining we talked about a rail as my husband are getting older. It should have been added while pool was being prepped. It was not. After the pool was in we kept asking for it. No one seem interested. So my husband started paying a monthly bill instead of paying of full bill. The bill to our knowledge was fully paid. We still get a bill and each month it becomes more. Many friends could not believe how much it cost us. Many paid much less and looks beautiful. I wish I would have done more research. So even they Glen seems very nice, and we do think he is.. We were not treated right. I'm happy for those who are happy, and I'm sad we did not have the same experience. Georgie read more

We made the great decision to hire LA Custom Pools and Spas to remodel our 25 year old pool- and this really means you are hiring the owner Glenn as he manages the process start to finish. Scope: remove concrete deck and replace with pavers; replace the tile, add stone on retaining wall to match the stone we have in the house; replace flaking plaster with pebble tech. Time: 6 weeks start to finish, which included the Christmas and New Year holiday and 3 days list to rain. Communication level was high. Thought for you: Glenn had 13 pools going on in conjunction with ours. One day in the showroom I got a glimpse of the scheduling board and marveled at how much was happening at one time. The old saying "if you want a job done give it to a busy man is very true in this case." Quality: Just look at the pictures. We couldn't be happier. The pool setting is now like a pond/ oasis feel as we landscape around it. Crews: Glenn does a lot of work and his crews know how he wants the job done and respond accordingly. Service: Glenn made several visits to our house to answer questions before we signed on the dotted line. We did not feel rushed. We were able to visit his showroom (Lauren is great) to look at tile, stone, pebble tech color combinations. Thought for you: while we were in the process of redoing our pool another local pool builder went out of business- you might not know what a process that is for the homeowner who now has a big hole in the backyard and work can't proceed with another pool builder until things are financially settled with the original contractor. So tread carefully when making your hiring decision. End result: We've been in our home for 29 years, we wanted quality and that's what we got. Poor customer service. And they are very much over priced. They would not even make an effort to finish all the work within a timely manner and strung out a 6 week tops job to nearly a year. He is in every respect a typical contractor who leaves people hanging and does not do what they say they'll do. Do not use these people. In our case, it was thoroughly talked about a hand rail that would help accommodate senior citizen as they stepped out of the pool, which was supposed to be put in before plastering. Although i talked to him on multiple occasions to make sure this would be done, it was not done at all and then said he would try to drill some holes and put one in. i said that's not the way it should be done and he said "well, I can't do anything now" and this was after many months of trying to get this work done right. He simply wanted to charge me a great amount of money to fix his mistake. read more

From start to finish it has been a nightmare. Glenn was great in the beginning to get the sale, but once everything is said in done he is nowhere to be found. Just a few months after completion the lights in the pool went out, there are cracks in the concrete everywhere. We have left a ton of voicemails and text messages. He has not returned one call or one text. Finally, I had to draw up a letter stating we would be seeing him in court. He got someone out for the lights after that, but but never came out to look at the concrete. These are just a few of the issues. Mind you our pool was completed 9/2016 and it is now 7/2017. Buyer beware is all I have to say. When you drop over $50k you expect to at least have great customer service which he does not. read more

I had some cracking around my pool deck and contacted them since they were the ones who built the pool. I set an appointment the following Thursday for someone to come out for a repair estimate but they never showed. A few weeks later I went to their office and spoke to the front receptionist. I explained how no one showed and wanted to see if I could get someone to come out and look at my pool. She apologized and said she would have someone contact me. She took my name, address and number down and said she would have them call me later that day. This was three weeks ago and I still have not had anyone contact me.
