The charge is $1,700 for a tooth that is mismatched in both color and size. He has told her there is nothing more he will do. Furthermore, she was not given the opportunity to see the tooth, by looking in a mirror, before it was permanently placed or afterward. She was shocked and highly distressed when she looked in her car mirror. This is beyond poor dental practice and he is preying upon patients for his own financial gain. It is not uncommon for a crown or a veneer to not turn out perfectly, however, it is then re-made by the lab at no cost to the patient and not permanently placed. She will not be seeing a cosmetic specialist in Myrtle Beach to have this corrected and will pursue restitution. Do not go to this dentist!

Dr. Pence checked my retainer and adjusted my removable retainer. Told me everything looked fine and didn't charge me a cent. Not even an office visit charge because I was in and out in less than 10 minutes. All doctors I have ever seen in the past charge an outrageous amount for just walking in. I would have given Dr. Pence a Thousand Stars if it were possible!

Stay away ! I don't know if it's the dentist, his staff or a combination of both. The first time…read moremy wife went there he told her she had two abscesses and would require extensive dental work. I asked if my wife wo7ld be placed on an antibiotic prior to here return. Was told dentist would call in a prescription that day, a Friday. No prescription was ever called into the pharmacy. Went back approximately 2 weeks later, my wife's tooth was aching. Saw her that day. In and out about 30 minutes. Dentist extracted the tooth. No mention of abscess or any other needed work just come back for a cleaning. The dentist called in a prescription for pain medication to the pharmacy. When I went to the pharmacy, I asked the pharmacist if it contained codeine. It did and I called the dental office and told them my wife was allergic to codeine and would the dentist perscribs something without codeine. I was told he would. Hour and a half later no prescription called in. Called the dental office and asked about the new prescriptio. Was told dentist would check on it. Received call back from dental office and was told the dentist stated he DID NOT prescribe anything with codeine. The pharmacist had the original prescription that ordered Hydrocodeine for my wife. Late that evening the dentist called in a prescription to help counter the effects of the codeine. By that time the pharmacy had closed. Now, here is a dentist that does not treat an abscess, goes from requiring major work to simple extraction and follow up cleaning, does not understand what he has prescribe. Would you go back ?

I started going to Dr. Wright for some molar pain and also pain from clenching/grinding. Instead of…read moresimply giving me a root canal, capping it and sending me on my way, he took the time to diagnose my symptoms and work with me to fix the underlying problem. It's not cheap to fix teeth, and this place is no different in that aspect, but when there is pain involved, I don't take chances! I have gone to many teaching hospitals/dentists in the past and it's not uncommon for the dentist to teach his staff while the patient is, well, patient! I find this to be the case here, as he is in to his work and takes the time to explain things to both the patient and his staff, and all the while I did have to sit there and be patient- a major hard time for me but worth it to know what's going on. The bottom line is that my teeth feel great. Someone recently told me "everyone's teeth hurt a little", but I think not! I will be going to Dr. Wright if I feel pain and I know he can help!
