The owner of the…read morebusiness, Bill Boettcher, told me less than 48 hours before my event that he would be sending a substitute when all along I was told it would be he at my event. All during the time before my event he was extremely difficult to reach but I let it go because my primary music was to be through the live band, who was fantastic. But there were reasons I also wanted a DJ and my reasons turned out to be valid. The DJ Bill ultimately sent was ok. the music was fine and really there was nothing in particular I needed to have the DJ do or to discuss with him so no complaints. But the motivator, as sweet as could be, did not seem to know her job. I had to tell her when to give out items and if I hadn't told her we would still be waiting. Only during the last hour did she do any kind of interaction with the kids. There were no games as I had been told there would be and items that were specifically ordered for my event, I never saw. All of this didn't leave me thrilled, but the worst was that I wrote to Bill after the event and let him know I just wanted to talk to him. I wasn't going to make too big a deal of it but I thought maybe the motivator was new and simply needed some guidance. I didn't hear back for a week and when I wrote again, I received a rather rude response admonishing me for not being more patient. He didn't like some of what I wrote in my second e-mail (which did indicate I was upset he hadn't responded yet)and indicated that was the only reason he was responding despite being so busy. Had he only written originally and asked me to wait until things quieted down I wouldn't be writing this. But he stated right out that he only responded to me because something upset him. Yet he didn't feel it important enough to answer me when I was upset, didn't feel it important enough to make sure things had gone well, and overall didn't think it important enough to provide good customer service. I don't know if things would have been better with a different motivator and if the owner had done my event, as originally planned. But he (Bill, the owner) is extremely difficult to reach when things are going well, and pretty much not at all unless he feels it is important. I would not use this company again.

From the vidhi (an added request to which Pavan and team happily obliged) to the reception, MLE provided amazing music that was enjoyable from beginning to end. MLE used professional, high-quality equipment unlike what we have seen from other vendors at past events. The playlist during the vidhi was great. They played "dance-able" songs and garba during the walk around the neighborhood (varadh). Everyone loved it! The music during the garba was great. It felt as if there was a live music group performing the songs. The pace of the music flowed really well - there was not that feeling of slow to fast then back to slow as a new track started up again. The live dholi definitely helped make the night feel authentic. Numerous guests mentioned that the evening felt like it was a proper wedding garba and a large part of that was due to the music setup. The garba ran a little over time but Pavan still made sure to incorporate our sanedo and bhai/bhai song requests to end the evening. The music during the baraat was on point, they had everyone dancing, even the groom, who is predominantly a western music fan, was moving with his family which was great to see. During the wedding, they played beautiful wedding music that made the ceremony that much more enjoyable. Their songs choices were perfect, especially the traditional lagna geet that were played at the appropriate junctures of the ceremony. All of that was from MLE, none of it was directed or set up by me or my family and for that I'm very grateful. And finally, the reception was completely fantastic. Pavan, our emcee, was very enthusiastic, well-spoken and got the crowd going. Pavan got up on stage and led the group in line dancing and had the whole dance floor doing the wobble and the cha cha slide. It was a sight! The team was on top of our timeline that we gave them and made sure everything was running smoothly. They did a great job of rolling with the flow when mishaps arose as well. They even helped our decorator's set up crew figure out where the dance floor would start and where the guest tables should be placed. They made themselves accessible and very easy to talk to in case we needed anything, not just on the day of event, but even during the planning process leading up to the event. The team was very professional, and provided prompt replies to our queries. All in all, Pavan and team went above and beyond and far surpassed our expectations. Most wedding receptions that my family and I have been to in the past, the DJs have played song selections during the open dance floor that were not very enjoyable. They did not flow together, some of the songs were not proper. Not everyone could listen to them and enjoy them. MLE did not have that issue. My brother, a completely western music fan said it was the best setup he had ever heard and loved every minute of it. I was very much surprised at how highly satisfied he was with the music for the whole weekend so kudos to you guys! The team expertly handled the music and audio for our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. The team also handled the lighting, slideshow, and MC duties during the reception. MC Sandy was great at entertaining our guests and flawlessly switched between English and Cantonese the entire night. She also made sure everything flowed seamlessly during the reception: first dance, dinner, speeches, cake cutting, slideshow, table toasts, bouquet toss. We didn't feel rushed at all, and she kept everyone's energy up all night. DJ Poh put together a set list for our reception was above and beyond anything we could have imagined. We had the option to choose several songs prior to the wedding, but we sent him a list of artists, albums, and genres instead. After we had sent the list, we realized the list of music was extremely eclectic (Pretty Lights, Miike Snow, Britney, Teresa Teng, The Postal Service to give you an idea) and got nervous about whether we had sent enough "wedding guest" appropriate songs. DJ Poh, without much direction from us, made an amazing playlist out of our crazy list that somehow perfectly fit us AND didn't seem out of place at a wedding. We had several guests that told us our music was the best music they have ever heard at a wedding. DJ Poh was also kind enough to send us the playlist after the wedding since we loved it so much.
