Old equipment but staff is friendly and helpful. The yoga teacher is a super cool lady but I like regular yoga not the power yoga. The tournaments can sometimes make it overcrowed but if you go early or late you'll definitely be able to get on the equipment you want to use. They sent members a text message stating we could gain access to the new complex for an extra $10/month per member . Most gyms give members access to any of their facilities without an extra charge... i cant see paying $80/month thats way too much!. If I could leave ZERO STARS I would. The AUDACITY of this place is comical really. The staff was rude as hell to say the least. I was forced to sign a 12 month contract before I was even offered a tour of the place. I signed up went to work out and was horrified by what I saw. This place is disgusting. The ceiling is literally falling in, in multiple places. It smells like mold mildew and has not been cleaned in probably ten years or more. The equipment was broke down. The staff was so unhelpful and tacky. Do Not Waste your time or your money with this trashy place!! There are so many better places in town that are 100x better all the way around. ITS VERY OBVIOUS that there are major issues ranging from structural, to plumbing and even exercise equipment that have clearly been left in those conditions for quite some time- certainly long before I came there. Why on earth would I want to give that another chance or even risk my health or safety in such an environment? I will be calling BBB and health department on this place the only thing Premier about it is the bad attitude from the manager. EDIT: luckily I've discovered I actually did NOT sign a contract so there shouldn't be any further issue, or contact from this company. Would I like my money back? Okay here is my take from an out of town perspective. If you are looking for out of tourneys this is probably one that you want to skip out on. Here's why, the courts 3-4 are so hot you feel like you're in a sauna. It's almost unbearable to be in the gym. Not sure how kids can play in the extreme heat. In addition to it being so hot, they make you pay to get into the gym. $5.00 to be hot? Yikes! So as far as competitive teams, the local parent said they never travel because area teams travel to them to play such as: Hobbs, Clovis, Dell City. Eh, don't think I'd want to drive back for those teams. We travel often and Vegas as been the best out of town tourney for us. More exposure and the top of top kids traveling to play ball with other elite kids. We won the tourney and were expecting to get at least a trophy. Nope, both teams got cheesy medals. Eh, it was just $160 to register but still, you'd think they'd do more at least for the winners of the tourneys. What could trophies really cost? Anyhow, I'm sure as a resident we'd enjoy this location for the amenities but for an out of town tourney, no way! Thanks Lubbock! read more

If I could leave a negative stars I would! We had a family members birthday party there. They had these young girls as our "life guards" who were VERY unprofessional, VERY rude, and just had a bad attitude the whole time! One of the girls had her towel wrapped around her the whole time... idk how she was gonna save anyone like that! And they were both on their phones the whole time not watching anyone! Really dirty and bad customer service. They don't have any water fountains and they would refuse to refill my water bottle. They also make it a huge pain to get out of your contract and will charge you extra some months. read more

I've had memberships at nearby local places and nothing seemed to be right. Zach's is a great gym but a hair too much for me with no basketball court for cardio. Tech's rec is great but again, too high priced. I found premier to be a great midline price with everything I needed. I don't believe in luxuries at the gym, premier has a great weight room and the courts I need. read more

I got my grandkids enrolled in their swim class the class was supposed to be from 11 till 12 and they never started before 11:10 and at 11:35 they were releasing the children. The instructors were not enthusiastic and even the children noticed. My grandson who loves the water after two days did not even want to go to class because the teachers weren't very pleasant I have a pool at my house and my grandkids spend a lot of time here over the summer months and I thought it wise to put them in a swim class so that they could get themselves out of any kind of situation they might find themselves in. They do OK in the water but I don't trust them to swim alone and after two weeks of class at Premier I still will not turn my back on them when they are in the area of the pool. Neither one of them has noticeable improvement in their swimming abilities after two weeks of class. If you have children who need to learn to swim I would suggest you find a swim class somewhere else I know I will next time. Thanks read more

I'm in town for work and bought a day pass. They also sell 3 and 5 day punch cards. I have a big corporate gym membership back home and even though Premier is a bit Spartan, it was a breath of fresh air! It's like working out in a high school weight room. People are there to lift, they had all the equipment I needed.They have the racks and benches for any serious lifting program. It gets used, it looks well used, but it's steel and iron - far from falling apart. You could spend a LOT more and all you'd get is a bunch of TV screens that you can't hear, towel service, and amenities that you might not use but twice. On top of that, you'd get the frustrating corporate gym scene - long waits for equipment, meatheads trying to talk up the women, etc. Here's an honest local business, a training facility that I would choose over my crowded home gym any day. It is now called Premiere Sports or something equally as vague as Nautilus, but the place hasn't changed much. I have more negatives then positives so here is the high points: 1. I was saddened when they took out the sand volleyball courts 2. That had a really nice pool, but I don't know if they even have water in it anymore 3. Parking is terrible! Everybody that lives close to this place hates the congestion it creates more than they hate the University of Texas. 4. The exterior is getting pretty run down (especially the south side) I would seriously encourage you to enjoy a walk around Chase A. Guy (seriously that's the name... funny as hell right) park instead of stopping here. read more

We use the after school program for 3 years and we are very happy! Most of all our daughter loves it! Alex and Hope and the other staff are amazing! The group walks over to Premier from Honey elementary in a perfect line ( even in bad weather! I would recommend this program highly! read more

Today was the first time our team played at Premier and the experience was horrible. It was so unbelievably hot in there that I'm not sure how the girls were still able to play. The people in the stands were sweating so bad you could see it coming through their clothes. Do they leave the ac off so they can sell more drinks? Put some fans in those gyms or something. I really hope that we don't ever have to play there again. read more

This was by far my worst experience ever! It's hot, the drinks were over priced and the protein shakes were...... how do you you put it to words ~ worst than absolutely completely disgusting! I ordered a protein shake after waiting a good 10 minutes in line. I then waited another 30 minutes for the shake to be ready only to find out that they hadn't even started it. We watched as a immature teenager licked the utensils he was using to make my shake. Finally after a long wait I received my protein shake. It was super watery and tasted like peanut butter lake water.My friend waited in line for longer than I had and when she got to the front of the line they informed her that they were closed. Another issue they have is the lack of a sanitary restroom. They had 2 stalls and only 1 worked forcing people to wait in another long line. If I could give negative stars I certainly would. -8/5 would not come again. read more

This place has some good and some bad qualities. More bad than good. The equipment is slowly getting more and more worn out and the place looks more run down each year I am a member here. The staff is always nice and there normally aren't a ton of people working out, but there are little dust bunnies all over the place. One final bad thing is that they have tons of little dribbler basketball games here. So, if you come anytime after 5 during basketball season you're going to have trouble finding a parking spot. But their rates aren't too bad, so it makes up for most of the bad things. read more

My family and I have had memberships at Premier for years, primarily because there is no other facility that provides the variety of equipment or opportunity to participate in indoor team sports. Unfortunately, the management, while friendly, does little to absolutely nothing to provide a reputable environment. It would appear that ownership/management is more interested in revenue than maintaining the integrity that their signage promotes. Case in point: they have allowed the open court, pick-up basketball to become "street ball" filled with constant bickering, foul language, occasional scuffles, intimidation and everything else short of the integrity and sportsmanship the owner/manager claims to promote. I finally began complaining to the manager, Brandon. I explained all of the aforementioned issues and he listened intently but replied that I was the only one complaining. I contended that I was the only one who had the fortitude to say something about it. I let him know that I am not the only who was complaining and that other member/players are equally frustrated but know that nothing will be done about it. They are correct. I explained to Brandon that not one of the "rules" posted in the gym are being followed and he said I was being irrational. Brandon also said he would put up a white board in the gym for players to sign up for subsequent games to help alleviate the cheating and intimidation about who has the next game. The board was never put up. I am 55 years old and today I had a 16 year old get in my face and tell me he was going to whip my old a$$. I am not intimidated easily, but rather than contribute to the chaos that already exists, I ignored the young man and continued to play. After the game, I provided Brandon with a hand written letter of complaint, again, outlining the issues and proclaiming my intent to file a grievance with the Better Business Bureau of Lubbock. After reading the letter, Brandon approached me and told me that I needed to leave the facility and that he had revoked my membership. I was more than happy to leave and explained to him that a law suit would be forthcoming. Variety, yes. Integrity, sportsmanship, family environment.....not on your life. Beware. read more
