His surgical skills are outstanding and without question was the most recommended. I had no difficulty at all post op. My surgery was done at Proliance Surgical Center and their staff are the best (not surprised) and Dr. Christal's support staff at the Proliance Orthopedic Center in Edmonds were responsive, friendly and very efficient (again, not surprised). Another very important issue is the thoroughness with which Dr. Christal prepares his patients for surgery. He builds into the process the conscientious attention to detail and in particular his instructions regarding limiting the chance of infection by starting "decolonization" five days before surgery and setting PT goals early were appreciated. His pain management is stellar and I recovered with lightening speed. A sudden mobility issue happened back on 2/17/26. Working with my primary care facility and…read morephysician at Pacific Medical Center - Shoreline, I was referred to, had Xrays completed and evaluated at Swedish Edmonds Urgent Care that evening. The PA-C seen referred me to Edmonds Orthopedic Center (affiliated with Proliance Surgeons), located also at the Swedish Edmonds medical campus. My initial evaluation was with Michael Lee, MD on 2/23/26 where it was determined a MRI was needed to make a definitive diagnosis. This was completed at an affiliate site, North Puget Sound MRI in Mountlake Terrace on 3/6/26. My MRI results and next steps were addressed again with another appointment with Dr. Lee on 3/12/26. The MRI brought to light my current situation and potential future issues to be made aware of. I also received a cortisone steroid shot to help reduce discomfort and inflammation at this visit. My recovery is still ongoing, just thankful no physical therapy and/or surgical intervention are needed at this time. Yes, one has to deal with the wait (blame the insurance and medical care system in the US). Overall, I have been pleased with the professional care provided without the hassles of having to see similar organizations in downtown Seattle. It is much more accessible as a Shoreline resident to be seen at northend sites in Edmonds and Mountlake Terrace. My interactions via phone, online, and onsite have been favorable. Pro tips: Understand that time is needed to have referrals reviewed and approved by one's insurance coverage, especially if there were any policy changes. This does affect scheduling and copays. Exercise your patience, do your due diligence to follow up, ask questions and for clarity to advocate for the best outcome for your care. Give yourself extra time to locate parking, whether on the adjacent street, main parking lot, or parking garage whether you are dropped off or driving yourself. It does get congested and not fun with limited mobility and inclement weather. The common areas like lobby, elevators, and waiting areas are busy so be proactive to wear a mask and/or use hand sanitizer. Complete any online check-in requests prior to your actual onsite appointment. This will streamline your check-in process. Copays can be paid ahead or at the check-in counter. The staff at IRG was friendly, and tried to be helpful, but the physical therapist assigned to help me assigned exercises that didn't help. Some of them made the pain worse. He didn't use the feedback to further his assessment of the problem. An MRI, xrays, and surgeon's consultation later revealed more information about the cause of my pain, and why the therapy IRG prescribed initially was not successful. but I don't have confidence in IRG's therapist's ability to use the new information to create an appropriate program. The facilities are also unpleasant and crowded.

I first went to the office across the parking lot from Swedish Edmonds Hospital. I'm quite sure it was not called IRG then. It was a wonderful experience. Then after the left knee had to be redone due to infection, they had moved the facility to the Edmonds waterfront at Harbor Square. Many of the people who worked in upper Edmonds moved down there as well. Again, a perfect situation. Now, recently, after my third surgery to replace my right knee I quickly registered and got a referral for IRG-Harbor Square again, expecting the same kind atmosphere. But what a surprise! It is still IRG but with all new therapists. In all my time spent in hospitals for these knee issues and Physical therapy I have ALWAYS been treated with absolute respect and in a pleasant and encouraging atmosphere. This time I was assigned to Erin and I thought things started out OK but what a nightmare it became. When I tried to engage with her and have a smile and pleasant conversations with her she reminded me that she was a Licensed Therapist and did not have time to listen to me talk about the tulips in Mt.Vernon and say Good Morning, Thank You or anything else pleasant. Apparently Licensed Therapists are also unable to take a moment to smile. I advised her that I was hard of hearing and was sorry I had to ask for some things to be repeated. I hope to get hearing aids soon. So due to my not hearing exactly what she said sometimes she just SCREAMED my name at the top of her lungs, as well as the instructions of what to do next. I have to say I have never ever been treated with such disrespect from anyone in the medical field. I always mention how much I appreciate those who work with the public to try and help them recover. I told her that as well but she was not interested in my chit-chat. (Licensed Therapist, you know.) I don't know if it's just me she treats this way or everyone she doesn't like. The other people in the office are always pleasant. No matter what happens in the future I will never go back to IRG-Harbor Square. I'm sure that will please her to no end. Incompetent office. I got charged $300 for that service. Since then I've tried to see this Rheumatologist but haven't been able to because I've called Edmonds Orthopedic Center over 5 times on 5 occasions to ask for them to send my referral file as the rheumatologist won't see me without it. I was told they sent it last Friday. Today marked call and voicemail number 6 as it's still not there. Completely pathetic. Don't waste your time here. Go somewhere else.

"Team" approach is fine except it doesn't seem like there's good communication about treatment plans for congruent care. Start with a PT and get handed off mid appointment. Today I wasn't even told. My PT just started working with someone new right beside me, when a PT assistant came up and told me to do a stretch I had already done earlier. Today received 40 mins of attention. Received a nice 5 min or so massage to loosen sore area. Then 4 exercises (ones prescribed to do at home) and 1 stretch. And that was it! Reading through BBB I am scared to see the billing experience I find reported on BBB. I called after my last appointment to cancel all future appointments. And today, if I could refuse payment, I would. Today was absolutely worthless. Giving 1 star but honestly less. They are nice people. But this is not the care I expect.

I did not feel they were equal or better to other therapists I've seen, and had some concerns over getting different feedback/diagnosis each time I saw a different person at this practice.

Being cast aside mid treatment for neuropathy makes doubt the efficacy and necessity of said "therapy". Thanks Mosaic, it was good, but you've changed. Here's the deal…read more I'm an active guy who gets myself into a lot of trouble. I worked full time hours at an amazing (and busy) cafe in Kirkland and it got my neck into all sorts of weird because I'm tall and the counters in the cafe, well, they weren't. I was hesitant to reach out to any physical therapy because I had previous experience with PT back in Boise that was less than sweet. But my neck pain reached a point where I needed to try. By chance, Mosaic was within walking distance of my apartment. It blew my mind that PT could be what Mosaic was. The staff was overtly friendly and, most importantly, invested in dynamic treatment that involved exactly what and how I was feeling each day. And they were kind enough to laugh at all my bad jokes, which is a huge plus. I receive treatment for my neck for about three months at which time I'm discharged, as it were. I have exercises and recommendations to move forward with instead of just being "done" and "good luck!" So, then my active guy trouble-making hits its stride in late July, 2016, when I dislocate my shoulder. I'm out of town when it occurs, go to the local hospital, and that next morning, I call Mosaic to schedule rehabilitation. They get me an appointment the same week, they test my full range of motion, and they welcome me back like it's a family reunion. Not kidding. The community at Mosaic is absurdly awesome. Any business could learn something from this place when it comes to genuine service. Last week, I went and played disc golf again without a problem. I started a bodyweight exercise program and due to the excellent care, my shoulder feels great. I'm still doing cuff and strength exercises a few times a week, exercises that were given to me as continued therapy after I was discharged. And then there's Tasha. Tasha might be the best PT in the Pacific Northwest. She's damn good at what she does and there was never a moment in either of my PT schedules to Mosaic that I felt uncomfortable or as though I was liable for re-injury. On one of my last PT sessions, knowing that one of my goals was to throw an ultimate disc without trouble, she brought a disc into the office and we practice motion with different throws. THAT is personalized care and that shows class and dedication. Now, if you've made it this far, you might be thinking "okay guy, you seem biased. how much are they paying you." Quite the opposite my friend. I paid THEM to laugh at my bad jokes. But, in fairness, I should list some downsides to Mosaic. I think that's only fair. So, here are the downsides to Mosaic: 1. They are flexible and work with your schedule. (If only they would cancel other people's appointments for me. Sheesh) 2. They always smile. (I mean come on, smiling again? It's Monday) 3. They won't schedule you for more sessions than you need. (Seriously? I love paying way more money than I need to. Jerks) 4. They forced me to bring in coffee. (Well, I mean, it may be more like I volunteered to bring in coffee, but still, what the hell) So I hope that balanced it out for you. If it didn't, and it's still skewed way in favor of working with this amazing family and community at Mosaic, well, good. You may want to go be reckless like me just so you can experience what I'm talking about. Disclaimer: Don't be reckless.
