Our AC stopped cooling on a Friday night a couple weeks ago. Called Premier on Saturday morning and to my surprise they were able to send someone out that day! The tech was courteous and seemed knowledgeable.... so far so good! He spent a good 1.5-2 hours on the outside compressor unit "diagnosing" the problem. At one point he even left to get another diagnosis device that he needed. He returned a short time later with the device to finally tell me that my compressor was shot and needed to be replaced. He ball-parked the repair cost at "around $2000-2300". My house and my HVAC system are both only 2 1/2 years old! I asked him several times if he was certain this was the problem and if there was anything else it could possibly be. He said it was definitely a bad compressor, charged me $85 for the visit, and said they would contact me with a written estimate for the repair the following Monday afternoon. Later that same Saturday, as I was purchasing a portable AC to get me through the heat, I met a handy man at the hardware store who said he does some AC work as well. He came to the house the next day (on Sunday!) For $50 and in about 20 minutes he had my compressor running and the AC blowing cold... (I gave him an extra $50 tip... I would have given him much more if I had it on me at the time!) I haven't heard from anyone at Premier since that Saturday. It's hard for me to believe all the glowing reviews after the experience I've had. Premiere Air Conditioning & Heating are scammers and will cheat you given the opportunity! BEWARE! read more

I do NOT recommend this operation. They don't show up when they are scheduled to and show up unannounced on days that were not scheduled. I took off work today to meet the window they offered. upon calling them with 5min left in the window. they claimed they had showed up, rang my doorbell and left. I was home! I also had spoken on the phone with the guy 45 min prior. our ringdoor bell isnt working, not his fault, but why not just call the number he should have in his recent calls or the one associated with our request. very frustrating situation . look elsewhere for ac services! read more

Premiere A/C was an amazing experience for my family and I. I live in Seattle, WA and found out my family back home did not have working A/C this summer. I reached out to two companies in New Orleans to provide a quote. The first company tried to rip us off but Premiere A/C was honest, trustworthy, understanding and had a heart. After seeing my step-mom and two little brothers without A/C, they offered to provide us fans and even suggested alternative solutions if the repair was too costly. Do NOT use these guys. I just came from under our home and 2 out of the four lines of flexible ductwork were sitting on the ground...again. Cold air was blasting under house from two of the 4 openings crammed on one plenum. This happened in the attic as well but I did not leave a public review last year. They essentially used ONE big zip tie around the flange and did nothing to seal where flexible ductwork meets flange in plenum. Cold air is blowing out flange seams everywhere. It was in the attic too but I sealed it with HVAC ductwork sealer. The Rheem system is only 5 years old and the units have been nothing but trouble. We have replaced control boards and heater coils on both more than once. I was under house just now as I was looking at things for new compressor system that is replacing the Rheem which died last week after only 5 years. Sure they are nice guys but do NOT trust their level of craftsmanship in areas that cant be normally accessed. I have pictures. Who knows how long we have been running at 50%. This was my third phone call to AC companies around the area and the other two places told me they couldn't come out to check out my problem until weeks from now. When the guys came out, I told them the problems I had with my AC and they vacuumed the upstairs & downstairs pipe, free of charge! They checked out my unit outside and told me that my run capacitor was broken? (I don't really remember the terms used). They didn't have the part to fix it right away and I didn't have the time to stay either because of work, so we scheduled for them to come back the next day (Saturday). Heaters are an afterthought in New Orleans. The oppressive heat and humidity throughout the year see to that. On those first few days that it's actually cold enough to turn one on, you're probably outside in your underwear yelling "Yes! Finally!" Then, a few hours later, you discover that it's really, really cold and that you have no winter clothes because, I mean, you live in New Orleans. "What is this winter you speak of?" So, you start layering up with everything you've got, and crank up the heater. Only, this time, the heater laughs in your face and spews more cold air. It's time to call the professionals before you become an ice cube. Who you gonna call? Premiere A/C & Heating. These guys will have your heater blowing enough hot air to fill an entire prime time segment on Fox News. Jerard knows his stuff. I have an old gas fired wall heater that had decided it was not going to function anymore. Jerard came out, diagnosed the problem, procured a new part and had that heater up and running in under 2 hours. A pleasant experience all around. I don't have much experience hiring heating and cooling people, but this was my experience: First the repair man was over an hour late. This may have been due to some communication problems, but then I called the office and the receptionist said she didn't do the scheduling or have any records of it (which makes me wonder what the receptionist is for). Second, the dude charged me $85 to blow out a PVC pipe. Don't know how much that's supposed to cost, but it took about 10 minutes. Third, it didn't fix the problem and the dude left. Fourth, they haven't returned my calls since. UPDATE: The owner/manager read my review on Yelp and called to make a personal apology. This really meant a lot to me. I couldn't really give them more than 3 stars because I had to have another guy fix the a/c problem so I don't know if a different mechanic would have done a better job. We started using Premier in 2016 when we bought our home. We wanted stay on top of our a/c maintenance while supporting small local business. It took us a couple times reaching out, but finally Jerard got in touch with us and so started our working relationship. From the get-go, getting in contact with him was spotty at best. But he was pleasant enough and he made it seem like he was doing us a lot of favors because we were repeat customers. In 2018 he replaced our upstairs unit's air handler (inside unit). He had to order a different, more expensive one bc the one he charged us for wasn't available and that he would eat the cost. That was super nice!! But then things got weird. We've always experienced (and overlooked) the lack of communication/responsiveness, but the last time he serviced it in 2019, he lectured me about having to vacuum under the air handler bc he had just done it the year prior. For the record, our filter is located near the floor in the hallway and we have 2 dogs. I change the filter every 1-2 months. Not to mention it's literally his job. Then he scolded me for having our temps down too low during summer (78 when not home, 75 when home, 70 at night). It was a little off-putting. Last year we needed to get the a/c serviced. We reached out in March 2020 and couldn't get a hold of him: left messages, texts, and called his office. Nothing. Finally, we got in touch with him in May and he got mad that we waited this long to reach out to him. We scheduled an appointment and he no showed. No return calls. Nothing. We decided it was too much of a hassle to continue working with someone so difficult to get in touch with and unreliable. We went with a larger but still local company. It was then we were made to see how many corners Jerard had cut. Parts of our unit looked like it hadn't been thoroughly cleaned in years!! And they did stuff I'd never seen Jerard do for an annual service!! Fast forward to this week (July2021). The circuit board on the air processor he replaced went out. Due to the pandemic, there's a worldwide chip shortage. After much deliberation (poor initial install and poor install of new air processor plus continued issues throughout) we decided to just replace the whole system up there. Well, when Jerard replaced the unit upstairs, he freaking left the old one in our attic. Wtf?! We really wanted to support this local small business, but I'm glad we went elsewhere. I would give my highest recommendation to Premiere! As you can imagine, having my A/C break in 96 degree heat in New Orleans was quite horrifying. Not knowing until 6pm after work was even worse, as I was thinking about the long, hot night ahead. After calling one service that would charge me $95 just to drive to my house, I called Premiere. Thank goodness I did! Jerard came out within 30 minutes of my call just to see if the repair was something minor he could fix right away. He didn't charge me for the consultation at all. Unfortunately, he couldn't see an easy solution, but he came back the next day promptly and worked for about 3 hours, fixed the problem, cleaned the unit, changed out my thermostat and was so pleasant, knowledgeable and accommodating. And he gave me an unbeatable deal on all the work! It wasn't much more than the other company would have charged just to drive over. Do yourself a favor and call Jerard at Premiere with any troubles, and at least once a year to clean your unit (I've learned my lesson)! It's money well spent! read more

I HIGHLY recommend Premiere, and totally agree with an earlier reviewer who said it best, "don't bother looking anywhere else to fix your heating and ac..." We have called Premiere twice, once, last year because the heat stopped working (coils/control panel needed to be replaced) and most recently because the A/C unit stopped working (compressor grounded out). Both times - on a weekend - Jerard came out right away. Jerard is extremely knowledgeable about heating and air. He clearly knows how to diagnose a problem, and he works hard to find a solution that will not break the bank. His honesty throughout the process was refreshing. Our heat was working again within 24 hours, and our air within 72 hours (due to parts under warranty having to be ordered/shipped). Call these guys...they are great! read more

I highly recommend this company. I have chosen it based on Yelp's reviews. My a/c broke Friday night. I called Saturday morning at 8. Jerard was able to come over at 10:30ish. The motor and fan were broken. He fixed the motor but had to get the fan on Monday. He was able to find a used fan so I can have a/c until a new fan is replaced on Monday.
