I used to live in Oceanside, nearby to the barbershop, so I gave these guys a shot. I tried other barbers in there, all great by the way, but went to Caolan and never went back. From my first cut with him I could tell that he has a lot of pride in the job and takes a little extra time with his clients to get every hair on your head just right. Plus I didn't always describe what I wanted in the best way but he was still able to figure out what I wanted and made me look as good as I felt. This is an amazing shop you get your cuts,specially with all the talented barbers but one that will always get you right is johnny. This guy worked on my haircut for about 30 minutes. He spent 20 minutes working on the back part. His clippers were so sharp I had to question him about it. He left me all messed up. He didn't blend my hair. I told him to leave my side burns alone and he chopped them off and left them pointing to the sky.... etc etc... I came home and had to fix whatever I could. He didn't charge me because he admitted he messed me up. The irritation on my neck was extremely bad. Picture doesn't do justice. 3 days later... my neck is still in bad shape. read more

The site and google maps shows that they close at 8pm. I have came in at 6 in the past as a walk-in. However, I do try to make it in earlier based on my schedule. It's a 30 minute drive for me. I showed up today and they are no no longer going to be open after 6pm. There was two barbers and one customer on the chair. Be aware of the new schedule that has apparently been in effect for two weeks now based on what the barber told me. They have not updated their website or google maps. It is an inconvenience. I ended up getting one of the best cuts I've ever gotten! Troy really knows what he's doing. Professional, he never dug in too deep to the point where it stings but I still ended up with the crispiest lineup ya ever did see! Definitely coming back to get more cuts from him. First time customer here, booked an appointment with Jimmy for my kiddos haircut. My kid isn't a huge fan of getting haircuts so we are very particular with finding someone who he's comfortable with. He sat through the whole thing which amazed me. Came out looking like a brand new kid, and the best part was he loved it. Asked if he could come back, I guess my son found his first barber he likes.
