If you're taking a day trip to Stonehenge from London be prepared for it to be rather long. We departed Victoria Station at 1:30pm. It took around 2 1/2 hours to arrive in Stonehenge, we spent about 2 1/2 hours there, and then arrived back in London after 9:00pm. It was a long trip but worth it. Our tour guide/driver Michael was very friendly and relayed many interesting stories regarding London and the surrounding area to us. Stonehenge was rather neat and not as creepy as I thought it would be. Although there were about a thousand people there it wasn't as chaotic as it could have been because Stonehenge is VERY spacious. We took many pictures but my favorite view was the buried Spongbob one. Too funny! Btw make sure you relieve yourself before you board the bus as the trip is non-stop and there is not a restroom located on the bus. read more

As a solo traveler and first-time visitor to England, I thought signing up for a 12-hour countryside tour would be a good idea. While I'm not sure jam-packing Stonehenge, Bath, and Windsor in one day was actually good in practice, I am happy this was an option due to my limited time in the country. The tour offered complimentary pick up from select London hotels. I didn't stay in a hotel and didn't realize you can't pay for a single ride on a bus, so I called an Uber and made it to the tour at the very very last second. It was a double-decker bus and it was recommended to sit upstairs. My late arrival banished me to the lower level with four others, which proved to be annoying because the tour guide consistently talked about the upstairs views and how much better it was up there all day long. I also sat on the right side of the bus. For the most part, the left had the better roadside views (also per the tour guide) so I feel slightly put off about the actual travel time. Additionally, the tour departed too early. We left London at 8, got to Windsor shortly after 9, took a short walk but still had to stand and wait til 9:45 for the castle to open to visitors. I understand that was the castle's fault (per guide...posted hours at the castle said 9:45 though), but it was still irritating early in the morning. Plus we had to speed through the castle to stay on our time target. Throughout the day, we also stopped at Stonehenge (awesome!), a pub in the village of Lacock for lunch (drinks not included), and Bath after nightfall. Note that there's no access to the Roman Baths after the summer season. Here I'd like to call out my fellow tour goers for a brief moment. I just can't believe how unfriendly they were overall. I've been on tours before and usually folks have been chatty and nice. On this tour, each time I tried to strike up conversation, the people would respond with constipated expressions and curt statements. Like, did I smell or something? Was I not worthy of your time? In Bath, there was a cute tea room. I walked in first, then several others followed behind. When a host came to ask how many people, the group behind me said five. I then said "just me" and looked at the people behind me, but they didn't think "oh why don't we invite her to sit with us." I just think that's rude. Whenever I see someone alone, I always make an effort to get to know them or be friendly. Maybe other solo travelers will have better luck than I did. On the plus side, I got a nice table and received my tea and bun much faster. The tour didn't return to London til after 9. It was too long of a day but I did learn quite a bit and the guide herself was a very nice person. I'm mixed on my feelings, but I'll round up to 3.5 stars. read more

Thank you premium tours for one of the best days I've ever had. Who would have thought that in the course of 12 hours I could visit Windsor Castle, Stonehenge, and the Ancient Roman Bath House in Bath while stopping for a delicious lunch in LaCock? All of which, was included in the price of the tour ticket (minus the tour of the bath house.. but that is optional. Some people chose to just explore the city of Bath instead). This tour is the perfect way to see all of these amazing locations without spending 3 or 4 days of your vacation doing so. I never felt rushed at any of the sites, we even had time to watch the changing of the guard at Windsor Castle. The bus ride itself was spectacular. We sat on the upper level of a double decker bus. Our tour guide, Leon spent the entire trip explaining the history behind all of the locations we passed and so many tidbits of information here and there. Not to mention, he did so with charm and humor and with a smile on his face the whole time. Think about that... 12+ hours talking to tourists, organizing lunch, handing out tickets to the various attractions, keeping track of everyone, and doing it ALL with a smile. I don't know how much money he makes, but he deserves a raise for sure. I will recommend premium tours to anyone visiting London. This is truly an experience I will never forget. read more

Regarding London - Stonehenge shuttle & independent day trip. The Victoria Station departure was chaotic at best. I can't imagine if we weren't native English speaking; clearly we'd have missed the tour altogether as the information on the boards, announcements, & bus didn't match our tickets. NOTE: no hot drinks allowed on the bus, so gulp that morning coffee you just bought at the station down quick, folks! Our driver was friendly but unclear; nearly indecipherable at times. The bus had seatbelts (required) which weren't adjustable so pushed forcefully into your shoulder & neck for 2 hours. The seats provide hardly any leg room; and I'm a small person. Some are not reclining... so choose wisely. The driver continually changed the station throughout the trip -- bouncing between classical, news talk radio, pop, and 80's -- all at high volume. Once there, we were given vague directions and instructions to return in 1 hr 45 min. If you choose to walk to Stonehenge instead of take the shuttle (which, after 2 hours of bus time, who wants to queue up and take yet another bus?) you will have roughly 20 minutes at the stones. This strict time limit leaves zero time for the museum, shop, huts, and hardly any time for listening to the audio tour -- which is quite informative. It's clearly not enough time; you need AT LEAST 2 hours. We had to RUN back to make it in time. As an aside, Stonehenge itself is interesting, and larger in person than expected, though terribly overcrowded. People at all angles taking selfies, loudly talking, folks with dogs... definitely something lost in the modernity. The pastoral setting is a lovely counterpoint to the crowds. A shame we had to get back on the bus so quickly. $200 + 1 hr on public transport/waiting at Victoria station + 4 hrs on the bus + 1.75 hrs at Stonehenge = we should have rented a car. read more

Wow, where can I begin? Booking was easy enough; we were so excited to find a tour that had ratings and felt like we'd be in good hands with Premium Tours. Well, we couldn't have been more wrong. This has been my worst experience in Europe after an entire month of traveling. I have not felt this upset or disappointed in a very long time. In our case we were never even able to get on the bus. We signed up for the Stongehenge, Windsor Castle, Bath, and lunch in Lacock tour and could not have been more excited to go. We woke up very early so as not to be even a second late. Ate breakfast at a small bakery by the Gloucester station and saw the silver bus with the card go by. This was around 7:15am. Our pick up time was to be 7:45 am in front of the Holiday Inn, which we selected from a variety of locations on THEIR website. Well, I guess they forgot about us. At 7:20 am we got to the location for pick up, figuring it was best to be early. It began to drizzle so my boyfriend put on his raincoat and I got my umbrella out. Fast forward to almost an hour and a half later. We had been waiting, panicking, and monitoring all sides of the hotel for the bus we had seen earlier. By 7:45 it had begun pouring so we were absolutely drenched. My boyfriend's backpack was soaked, with all of our postcards inside that were ready to be mailed getting destroyed. All I could hope was that my Leica camera which I was so incredibly excited to take pictures with of the anciety city and Stonehenge would not be broken. I think I began to cry around 8:20. I mean, come on. We're freezing, where is our bus? We paid so much for this stupid tour- £72 per person. I have no doubt that we will get a refund; I will scream my head off until they pay us back. But nothing can recover this full day we lost, our very last day in the UK before returning home to the USA, for a trip we saved up for all year long. I am so incredibly sad and maybe I sound melodramatic but I can't explain how excited I was for this. So if you want to gamble with this terrible bus company and maybe not get picked up- maybe instead catch a cold standing in freezing rain for an hour and a half while you panic about where the bus could possibly be- I guess this is the tour for you. read more

Tour date: Saturday, December 29, 2018. I took this trip alone, and I thought it was wonderful. We had a great tour guide, named Kevin who was very helpful and provided us great facts everywhere we went and drove through. The tour started at London's Bus stop at 7am. This wasn't too hard to find, but the address provided to me didn't inform me that it was in a bus stop. There, you had to be standing in the crowd of other Premium Tour tourists going on other trips. It was quite messy and a little stressful, to be honest. Once on the double decker bus, we began our tour - starting off at the Windsor Castle. We waited outside for over an hour until the Windsor castle was open for entry. Once inside, I felt rushed to see everything inside because we had about an hour to tour the castle and be back at the bus at 11. Unfortunately, I rushed and didn't see much of the castle. I went to stand outside in the streets because there was a change of guards. Ideally, it would've been better to be inside the castle to see this, but I had to exit because the castle doors close during the change and I would've missed my bus. Second stop was the Stonehenge (my favorite part). Many people asked me why I wanted to travel so far to "just see a bunch of rocks". Well, they're historic rocks and that was exactly what I wanted to see! I was amazed by the Stonehenge. I walked around it twice and listened to the audio tour - it's so interesting. They also had a gift shop with cute souvenirs. I also wanted to try a rock cake which is a traditional desert but the line was too long and I didn't want to miss the bus - again, time restricted. After the Stonehenge, we stopped at Lacock for lunch. Most of us ordered Fish & Chips but it really wasn't anything out of this world. Lastly, we went to Bath. We got there too late to go see the bath, but they had us explore the town and shop. To me, the time at Bath was too long - personally, I would've preferred the longer time in Windsor or Stonehenge - or making it earlier to Bath to see the baths. Upon the return, the bus made two stops (not where the tour started in the bus station, but in a random bus stop nowhere near Victoria). I did enjoy the tour and our tour guide, but it is definitely a fast-paced tour. I would've liked to see more, but I have to say, we did enjoy the whole day and did a lot. I recommend it. read more

I think if you are a tourist these things are worth it! You get to see so many places in one day, someone else is driving, and someone is telling ALL about the history. And all you have to do is sit back and relax! I have to say I fell asleep through a good portion of the tour when we were on the bus! It was extremely exhausting. My friend and I booked this £65 Premium Tour group that brought us to Warwick Castle, Stratford, Cotswold, and Oxford. The whole time I felt a bit rushed. But I guess we had to go fast because four sites in a day is a lot. Driving up to Warwick was nice because we got to see the suburbs of England AND the railway that Harry Potter was filmed at!! Warwick castle was very neat!!! There was a dungeon and torture chamber; and funny, fake people in the castle. We climbed up to the rampart wall of the castle (530 steep steps to be exact). It was a bit scary and exhausting because it was very windy up there! But we had to do it because we were already there. We came all the way to see the castle. We might as well climb it and take a nap on it too!! Stratford was a small town. They rushed us again through the museum. We literally just walked right through. I wish they gave us more time to see the museum because you can't go back in after seeing Shakespeare's house. In Cotswolds, we only had a lunch stop here. They just drove us through the town and said... "this is Cotswolds with the thatched roofs"! Oxford was nice. We got to spend a little more time there and visit Christchurch which was where Harry Potter was filmed and spoke about Alice in Wonderland. read more

While in London last week I booked a tour with Premium for my family and me. The tour was to include Windsor Castle, Stonehenge, Lacock, and Bath. Before the tour even started Premium made a change to the itinerary since it was scheduled for Good Friday. Windsor Castle was to be closed that day so Premium added Hampton Court in its place. We left from Victoria Coach Station around 8:15 with Steve as our driver and Carol our tour guide. Steve kept the bus moving forward, and when we ran into holiday traffic he and Carol made some quick decisions about alternative routes. Carol kept up an entertaining running commentary about the area we were passing through and the sites we were headed to. Our tour that day visited 4 locations so our time at each was shorter than we would have preferred but Steve and Carol did their best to make sure we saw as much as possible. read more

Booked the Stonehenge and all afternoon in Bath trip for this past Saturday (July 23). We met at Victoria Coach Station at 8AM and left around 8:30AM to Stonehenge. It was a little confusing because Victoria Coach Station is a little hectic and the group loaded into two separate buses (unbeknownst to us) so I ended up going on a single decker bus with a whole bunch of obnoxious college kids while everyone else went on the more comfortable double decker bus. Independent of our rude bus constituents, the trip itself was lovely. There weren't any bathrooms on the buses so the bus had to make an emergency both to and from Stonehenge / Bath. We got to Stonehenge around 10:45AM and we had until 12:20PM to walk around and see the stones with audio guides. Our guide got everyone's tickets and we all lined in the Groups line to board the shuttles into the Stonehenge area, which was way better than the individual / single ticket queues. Seeing Stonehenge isn't an extensive affair as it's shrouded with ancient mystery so it was good to take my selfie, listen to the theories on the audio guide, catch an Eevee onsite (no judging!), and enjoy the countryside. We were quickly on our way to Bath, which was a cuter town than I expected as I had originally booked the tour just for Stonehenge (with Bath as a side trip). The Stonehenge ticket was included in the fare but the Roman Baths in Bath wasn't included. Many people opted to get the ticket through Premium Tours but it was for a certain time and my partner and I just wanted to go to it on our own schedule. The guide also conducted a walking tour of Bath which we didn't attend but heard afterwards that it was very interesting. Lunch was NOT included in this trip but I think it is for other Premium Tour trips. We left around 5PM and then made our way back to London. One thing to note is that the drop off points are Gloucester Rd and Baker St, both are different from Victoria Coach Station so I had to listen to the college kids behind us complain repeatedly about it. I would greatly recommend this trip! Great guide, nice transportation, efficient agenda, and pretty cheap compared to taking the train and/or taxiing from London to Stonehenge to Bath back to London. read more

We booked a tour through Viator to Warner Brothers Harry Potter. The coach to and from the studio was horrible. Our tickets requested arrival at 11:15 for an 11:30 departure to the studio. Our driver didn't even start queuing people until 11:35. Needless to say we were over 15 minutes late leaving. En route he carried on with other drivers, yelling out the window and hand gesturing. The tour at Warner Brothers was fantastic and very enjoyable. Our frustration continued upon returning to the coach. The tour guide requested to be back at 4:50 for a 5:00 departure back to London. We arrived a few minutes early and stood at the coach watching our driver have a few smokes and his coffee. He essentially left the entire group of people standing outside until 5:05. My husband went up to him to request the bus he opened and his response was 'I'll get there at 5:05!' We booked most of our tours in London through Viator. Thank goodness our other tours were with the Evan Evans tour group. They are quite precise and run a wonderful tour. If you are considering anything with Premium Tours my advice would be to avoid at all costs!!! There are plenty of tour companies available that respect your time and business. read more

We did the Full Day London Tour which lasted 9 hours and included tickets on the London Eye. Overall, it was a pretty good experience. John was our tour guide and he was great - knowledgeable, friendly and pretty funny. We started at St Paula Cathedral, and went inside to take in all the amazing history. After that we headed to Buckingham Palace and watched the changing of the guards (which was really impressive). After Buckingham Palace we went to the Tower of London and explored the grounds and museum. From there, we hit a Thames River cruise and saw all the sights with interesting stories behind each -- including the Tower Bridge, the Houses of Parliament, Shakespeare Theatre, the Tate Modern, the Millenium bridge and the London Eye. Our last stop was riding the London Eye with spectacular views of the entire city. Our only complaint was that the group was too big - there were nearly 60 people, so everything took really long. read more

While in London a few years ago, my friend and I wanted to explore all that we could. We came across a few brochures from this company. They were very easy to setup over the phone. We were able to see MANY things including the Roman Baths, Shakespeare's house, Leeds Castle, and Stonehenge. We went on a total of 3 or 4 tours. Each time the tour guide was hilarious. I can't speak to or discredit the bad experiences of others, I can only say that ours went off without a hitch. The fact that they pick up for the Stonehenge tour at Millennium Gloucester Hotel was one reason we decided to stay there. Super convenient. The tour we took was Bath-Lacock-Stonehenge, with a "sunset" private admission to the inside of the stone circle (not usually available to Stonehenge visitors, though you can arrange it on some dates via the English Heritage website). Bath was great, but incredibly busy in mid-July. The baths at Bath were very interesting but the traffic flow inside the museum makes things even more crowded than it should be. I'm glad we didn't take an independent trip to Bath for the day, I don't think there would have been enough to hold our interest. Lacock for lunch...much too late in the day (people were desperately hungry by 4pm after an 11am pickup). I'm fairly certain that the Premium Tours buses are what keeps the pub alive...the food was terrible. Neat old building and good beer at least. Access to the stone circle at sunset was really special. It is a bit of an underwhelming site in a lot of ways, so maximizing the experience in this way was a good idea. Our guide Frank was pretty good and occasionally funny. Kept everything moving on time. Coach driver (Anthony, I think) was good. The coach itself was newish and clean, though the seats were not comfortable for American-sized people. It was nice to have a day on our trip where we didn't have to do a lot of walking or make any decisions. I recommend this tour, even with its flaws. read more

I traveled with a group of 5 on May 25, 2019 to Windsor Castle, Bath and Stonehenge. Our tour guide was Steven Maynard. When researching this tour, I was under the impression we would travel by "small" motor coach. I was very surprised that not only was our transport not a small coach, it was the largest in the bus depot! A double decker bus! The bus did get us to where we needed to go but because of the amount of people on the tour, it took a long time loading and unloading, especially unloading, which translates into a smaller amount of time at the attraction. With such a large group, it was impossible for most of everyone to hear any commentary that was offered while we were standing in line, waiting for tickets or waiting for a venue to open. Most other tours I have been on offer headsets where we could hear anything our guide was saying to the group, very frustrating to hear bits and pieces but not the full story, some in my group couldn't hear anything being said. Windsor was our first stop and I felt we could have used maybe 30 additional minutes here but did not feel the visit was inadequate. The next stop was Bath and we did get to visit the Roman Baths with adequate time but there was only a very little time for a rushed lunch, no other time for exploration of the town or even a quick peek into the Abbey. I would recommend to anyone taking this tour, to bring a sack lunch with you! Once aboard the bus again, we were told we had to hurry to Stonehenge and our guide hoped that they wouldn't close before we go there! Not something a paying customer wants to hear, that we may not get where we paid to go! Steven really should have kept that worry to himself...we did make it in time, but only because the summer time hours had just started that week. As we were getting off the bus at Stonehenge, audio guides and tickets were handed out as passengers stepped off the bus. There weren't enough audio guides for about 12 of us who were last off the bus but that didn't seem to bother Steven. We were told to go to the visitors office to find one ourselves (which they hadn't collected and cleaned from previous visitors yet). If I were the guide, I would have gone myself to find the remaining headsets and brought them to my people, even if it meant finding them by the stones. I was extremely disappointed in his nonchalance in the group not having the audio. It is a nice idea to visit 3 major attractions in one day but in retrospect, it was too much for one day, especially with a very large group. read more

Adeline Bleteau-Bertin was our tour guide for the Paris day tour. We took the Eurostar from London to Paris, took a scenic bus ride around Paris, one hour cruise along the river, and had lunch on the first floor of the Eiffel tower and then visited the Louve. Adeline was outstanding! She was easy to understand and made certain we all understood where to meet and when, to me was the most important part. I wish all our tours were this good. For people from the US...don't grab a cup of coffee and expect to board the bus. They WILL NOT allow you to board with your Starbucks en route to the coach station. Cold drinks ok, but at 7:30 you're probably drinking coffee. Lunch...the tour says lunch, but should be early dinner. We left at 8:30, got to the pub at 4:00. No opportunity for snacks,etc since each place (Windsor Stonehenge you had a short time to view each place). Also, the bus had trash on it and was questionably clean. You are on this bus for 12 hours. Sights were fine but about an hour at each, so most of the day is travel time. Driver and guide were fine. Needs better explanation of "lunch" and that your morning drink aren't allowed. read more

My friend and I booked the Stonehenge/Bath tour on Groupon and were pumped about the great deal. In the end, it really was an awesome deal and we had a great day seeing both places. However, this company seems to be a bit disorganized so there were a few stressful moments. Booking was super easy and we went to Victoria Coach Station as instructed. The designated gate was kind of a shitshow, as there were multiple tours departing and basically no information given about which was which, so some people were kind of panicked. I finally got to one of the tour guides to answer my questions and she looked at her clipboard searching for my name like "well sometimes they dont get the name right so lets see ... nope I dont see you on here ..." Thankfully I was looking along with her and was able to point out my name and my friend's name. Then we got on the coach bus, which was comfortable. It became a little chaotic right before departure though, with the guide hurriedly asking the driver as other people tried to board "how many seats do we have left? None?! Are we over??" Again, not the best organization. However, once we left Victoria all went as planned and the guide (Susan? Suzanne?) gave us a great overview of the two sites before we got there. We had plenty of time at Stonehenge (self guided - it's obviously pretty intuitive just walking around the rocks) and almost 4 hours at Bath (could grab lunch, go to the roman bath museum, and take a guided walking tour with Susan). Bath was where we really got our money's worth because the walking tour with Susan was included and this was really interesting. She was super knowledgeable about the town's history and architecture, and told some great stories. I would have paid an additional fee for this tour so to have it included in the overall price was really wonderful. The trip back to London was good (about 2.5 hours on the coach) and we had a choice of 3 dropoff locations (Gloucester Road, Victoria or Westminster). Keep in mind that this is a full day trip (leave Victoria at 8am and get back at about 7pm) and you spend a total of about 5 hours on the bus. If you have small children that dont travel well, this is not the best tour to bring them along on. Please use common sense and think of your fellow passengers on this full day trip. I dont mean to sound rude but I was amazed at the lack of judgment and common courtesy shown by a few parents of screaming/carsick toddlers on my tour. read more

After researching several options and tour companies for our Stonehenge day-trip during our honeymoon week in London, we're so glad we settled on Premium Tours. The price was right and adding Bath was a big plus. Our tour guide was incredibly knowledgeable and brought the history of both sites to life -- you can tell she has a passion for what she does! We opted to meet the group at the Victoria coach station rather than get picked up at a hotel, mainly because we were staying at an airbnb but also to have a little extra time to sleep in. Regardless, it was nice to have the option. It's a very busy station but it was easy to find with the help of the schedules on the monitors. We checked in and mounted the double-decker bus (warning: no toilets or wifi!), and our guide gave us some fun facts about the city as we made our way out of it. It was a beautiful drive through the countryside. As we approached Stonehenge, she gave us a run-down of its history and some of the theories around this ancient monument. We arrived at the visitor center and received our tickets and audio guides before boarding the shuttle that takes you to the actual site. We had 1.5 hours to explore at our leisure and were able to get some great photos before the larger crowds came in. We made our way back to the visitor center to browse the gift shop and even taste some local wine. Then we made our way out to Bath and were so impressed with this small town! I could see myself going back and spending a couple days there, as we only got to experience a small bite. Our guide gave us a brief walking tour of the main highlights then we went off to look through the shops and have some lunch at a pub. My husband and I opted for the Roman Baths so we met up with the group at the designated time and were able to explore that fascinating site. We had about an hour to spare after that, then made our way back to London. Once back, we had the option of getting dropped off at Gloucester Road or near the Victoria line (not back at the coach station) which actually worked out better for us. It was a long but fascinating day and we still got back early enough to have dinner. We would highly recommend Premium to anyone considering taking this tour (although a voucher for a Sally Lunn bun or beer at a pub in Bath would have been a nice touch!). read more

I took this tour Oct. 12, 2018. This tour started off well and then really took a turn. This tour seems to be a combination of a couple tours. Some people finish with the London Eye and others finish with tea at Harrods. The tour started from Victoria Coach Station (not to be confused with Victoria Station) a little late but with an upbeat start. Our tour guide Karen was friendly, enthusiastic, and super informative. She was great about explaining the schedule and making sure we were aware of meeting times, available bathrooms, etc. She made it clear that it was a highlights of London tour so we could set our expectations accordingly. It was looking like a great day. We started off at St. Paul's which was nice because it was early and there weren't that many people. Karen gave a great tour of the exterior and the interior of the church and we were given about 20 mins of free time to explore on our own. We then had to get back on the coach to catch the changing of the guard. Karen led us to a section of the route where you see the guards coming on duty parade past to eventually meet up with the guards at Buckingham Palace. We didn't get to see the actual exchange ceremony, which was disappointing, but I understand we cut it short for the sake of time. To see the ceremony we would have had to be there early to stake out a spot in front of the gates. All told, we spent 10-15 mins at the changing of the guard. We drove back through the city to the Tower of London. Our driver, Fernando, did a good job of navigating traffic. There was a lunch break and then we went into the tower. Karen did a mini tour and told us to be back at the meeting spot at 3:20pm. She said this a number of times so we wouldn't forget. We then had almost 2 hours to explore the tower and the crown jewels. I would recommend catching part of the tour given by Yeoman Warders (Beefeaters). This is the point where things went wrong. We arrived back at the meeting spot at 3:17 only to discover that the tour group was gone. I would have thought that I had misunderstood the time but there was another woman from the group who arrived a minute after us who also confirmed the time of 3:20pm. Karen had left early and forgotten 3 members of the group. This, to me, is unacceptable. How do you leave early without first making sure that everyone is there? When we realized we had been left behind we called the Premium Tours office to inform them that we had been left. We asked them to get into contact with Karen so that we could meet up for the cruise on the Thames only to be told that Karen's phone was not in service or turned off and that they could not reach her. They then told us to take a taxi or the underground to catch up with the tour after the river cruise. The person on the phone was dismissive and not really interested in helping us salvage the remaining part of our tour. We were finally able to meet up at Harrods for our tea where we were told that another 5 other people were missing. A different tour guide just dropped us off at the table in the tea room and that was the end of the tour. I took another tour with this company the next day and that tour went great, so I won't say that all their tours are poor. This one just happened to end badly due to the tour guide. read more

Let me start by saying aside from this particular tour and company I had an amazing time on my UK/Europe trip. For the expense of this tour ($130.00 USD per person) I feel it was not worth it. Not only was it expensive but the entire tour of Windsor Castle/Bath/Lacock/Stonehenge was a rush in - rush out experience. I will start from the beginning. We were picked up at our hotel at around 6:15 am and subsequently carted around London to pick up other members of the tour. By the time we arrived at Victoria Station it was around 7:45 am. We were then directed into the station where there were mass amounts of people in specific lines according to their tour. We were told to enter a line that was not the same number as what our paperwork showed so I proceeded to ask if we were in the correct line or being misdirected to the wrong line. The person I was asking, a young Asian woman, was extremely rude and abrupt, as if I was disrupting her. She shooed us away and told us she would get our tour guide who hadn't arrived yet, this because our specific bus was late. Meanwhile we are crammed into Victoria station like sardines along with other tours, all waiting for specific buses. Our guide finally arrives and, of course, our gate number is definitely different than what was written on our reservation paper work. We finally get into the bus to embark on our supposed adventure and the tour guide starts to talk. The guide's name is Lucy and our driver was Steve. The beginning of the tour was interesting. The information we were given over the intercom from Lucy, before arriving at Windsor Castle, was a nice precursor to the tour. However, once we got there, we were let loose and told to arrive back at the bus at a specific time. I got back to the bus about a minute before our designated time and Lucy was standing outside of the bus looking at her watch. She said "two more left" which meant only two more people were missing. She then said "Looks like we'll have to go". I asked her "would you leave them here?" She answered yes, if they're late. I was a little surprised so I hustled onto the bus. During our transport from Windsor to Bath Lucy continuously spoke through the intercom. The volume was VERY loud. It was constant, endless, high pitched chatter, much of which had nothing to do with our tour. She talked about her degree in Anthropology, some other meaningless ramblings, etc. but she NEVER shut up. It got to the point where I was blocking out everything she said. It was constant with no let-up. Next stop was Bath, of which we had no time to even enjoy. The line to the Roman Baths was long and we would not have been able to see them due to time constraints. I was extremely worried that I would get left behind if late at this point so I did not do the Roman Bath tour but wandered around downtown for awhile. I thought we were to arrive back at the bus stop at 2:30 so I was sure not to be late or "be left behind". When I got there I didn't see our bus. I walked around for 10 minutes and thought, at that point, I had been left behind due to what Lucy had said at Windsor so I jumped into a taxi to get to Lacock to meet back up with my bus. While we were still in Bath I called Premium Tours to tell them what was happening. Apparently we were to meet back at 2:45 and the bus was actually late (again) picking us up at Bath so I was, in fact early. The bus was still in Bath (so was I) but the person on the phone insisted I take the taxi to Lacock instead of the taxi driver taking me back to the bus. This cost me an extra 35 pounds (yes, that's about an extra 55 bucks, folks) that was completely unnecessary. One solace I had at this point was not having to listen to Lucy's high pitched, endless chatter over the loud intercom which was akin to Chinese water torture. It may have actually been worth the 35 pounds for 40 minutes of silence. I arrived at Lacock about 10 minutes before the bus did so I walked around for a bit and met them at the George Inn where we were to have lunch (lunch was around 4:00 pm). The rest of the tour was uneventful, including Stonehenge, except for Lucy promising at least 5 times that she would stop talking soon on our long trip back and finally getting around to being quiet about 30 or 45 minutes later. The worst tour I've ever taken. Lucy should have never alluded to the fact that people would be abandoned if they did not arrive back at the bus on time. Maybe she enjoyed the power trip it gave her. At the end of this arduous day they didn't drop us back at our hotels but left us at Victoria Station to get back on our own. Premium Tours owes me 35 Pounds. Something positive - thus 2 stars instead of 1 - Our bus driver, Steve, was great. read more

Glad I didn't read the reviews before booking. My Mom is in town visiting from NYC and I knew I wanted to take a tour of Stonehenge and Bath. Fortunately for us, Premium Tours was running a special on Groupon! While I considered booking the full price tour to include Windsor Castle, my other friends who all did a similar tour said squishing that in meant way too little time in Bath. So I decided three hours in Bath was better. This really was a great deal. Left at 8:30 am and didn't get back until 6:30 pm. It included the coach all day, Stonehenge admission, three hours in Bath, and commentary. David was funny and a good tour guide. Nathan was a great driver and managed to take us on some beautiful scenic routes and nearly avoid all Sunday traffic (always a plus). My Mother loved the tour and would highly recommend it. And she truly enjoyed Bath. Did i mention they also dropped us off at our flat at the end? All in all, great day. Exactly what we expected. read more

The company booked three separate stops during our tour. Our family was a party of eight and one of our children was in a wheel chair. The top of the bus was so hot we were sweating even after taking off all our coats. The tour guides voice is projected over the bus at high volumes. The first stop was Windsor Castle and we waited outside for over two hours in freezing temperatures. By the time we got inside, we were only able to see a few rooms (less than half of the full castle tour) before we had to leave. Carol, our tour guide, said we had a revamped schedule of an extra ten minutes. Even with that extra time ...we were ten minutes late because of delays getting the lift for the wheelchair. The tour company left us. Our kids were shivering in the cold as my husband tried to find a bus that had room for all our family. My daughter started to cry as she felt it was her fault because of the wheelchair. Another tour bus company (Evan and Evan), graciously took our family in and we are very grateful to them. Our tour guide was contacted to leave our tickets to Stonehenge at the ticket gate. She said she did so, but the employees at the counter said they had been working all day and were adamant that no tickets had been left. The ticket agents were very nice and helpful, and I believed them. They gave us the deepest discount the system would allow, and they were very apologetic. Still, we had to purchase 8 new tickets. Many of the companies have tight schedules, but to leave us under these circumstances was inexcusable. If you do book with Premium, keep it to one or two stops. Do not be late even if you have to take one picture of the outside and leave... they will leave you. Actually, I would just recommend Evan and Evan. They were great. read more

I booked a Stonehenge + Bath deal with my girlfriend from Groupon and we couldn't be happier about it. We got it at a really good price and it included the coach transfers, admissions to Stonehenge and a funny guide to go along with it. This was my first time with Premium Tours and I might consider going again if they have good deals. However, I think the three hours in Bath was too little. It is such a beautiful city to look at, you could've spent hours and hours there. Guess we'll just have to go there again on a separate trip. We left early in the morning at 8.30am and arrived back at Victoria around 7pm. The driver was also very good at what he does since he took us through really nice scenic rural areas and managed to avoid traffic in London. This is actually the second time we've used Premium Tours for a Coach tour. Several years ago we went on their Bath, Stonehenge, and Windsor Castle Tour. This time we went on their Downton Abbey tour of Oxford, Bampton, and Highclere Castle. Do yourself a favor and have a quick lunch in Oxford so there is more time to look around and see the sights at Highclere Castle. Bampton was adoreable, but also tiny. There is a beautiful old church there we toured along with a Downton Abbey gift shop. Fun fact: all of the stuff sold in the Bampton gift shop is made by people who live in Bampton. Also, the church was selling small magnets and things such as books to help restore their old Organ. Do them a solid and chip in. Our tour guide David was absolutely wonderful and really went out of his way answering questions and being generally historian level knowledgeable about the old monarchy and succession throughout approximately 500 years of England / UK history. Also, he was a really stand up guy who seemed to be really passionate about his job. Now on to Highclere Castle. It is literally what I always dreamed Buckingham Palace would look like as a child, and is a breathtaking castle home fit for proper royalty. The King Tutankhamen exhibit was worth the £7 entry fee and showed the full history of the discovery of the tomb by the reclusive man who was the head of Highclere. TL;DNR: this tour company is great and manages to somehow pack a whole lot into a single tour. They also employ amusing yet knowledgeable guides to make the long trip much more enjoyable. read more

My fiance and I used Premium Tours via Viator to book a tour that would take us to Stonehenge and back from London. At nearly £90 it was not the cheapest of tours but our coach was air conditioned and pretty comfortable. Our driver Leon was very friendly, professional and quite funny. There was no tour guide involved in it and all that was included was the transportation and admission into Stonehenge. We book this about 2-3 days before the actual day we were set to go and booking everything online was easy. We arrived at the meeting point and the bus arrived just instants later, exactly on time. Moments later we left for another pickup spot and within a few minutes we were off onto the M3 and the British countryside for just over two hours to get there. Upon arriving, Leon pointed out the bathrooms which had the shortest lines, gave us our admission tickets and let us wander around for just over an hour before we left and headed back to London. All in all this was a pretty good value, a comfortable ride and a pleasant experience. Premium Tours has various packages and I would not hesitate to book with them in the future if I needed to go on another tour. Best of all, the entire ordeal only took up about six hours of my way which left plenty of time before and after to keep exploring London. read more

We did the Windsor Castle/Stone Henge/Lacock/Bath tour and had a wonderful time. The experienced bus driver, Malcom, kept his cool through an array of unseasonal spring weather and wind, not to mention winding country roads. Our guide, Jason, was entertaining, lighthearted, and incredibly knowledgeable. There was sufficient time at all the stops to enjoy and soak in the atmosphere of each location. My rating is one star short of five because the drive back at the end of the day exceeded three hours, which meant that there wasn't a bathroom break. This exceeds many people's bladder control and ability to sit for long stretches, and therefore, I would urge Premium to please consider adding on an extra stop towards the end--either at a hot spot or just for a bathroom break/leg stretch--so folks get relief. Also, we were dropped off at the end of the tour a block away from Victoria Station during severe road construction while it was nighttime and during the beginning of a rain/snow storm. Stopping the coach next to or inside Victoria Station would be preferable, or making arrangements to drop off folks at their hotel, besides hailing a taxi or walking in an unfamiliar city under construction, would be ideal. read more

I was very skeptical about Premium Tours as I read mixed reviews on TripAdvisor, but I joined their "Windsor Castle, Stonehenge and Bath" tour anyways since I was traveling solo. I was picked up at a nearby hotel at 7:30am and was driven to meet up with the rest of my group. Our scheduled tour bus was stuck in traffic so to avoid running behind schedule they arranged another bus to take us to Windsor Castle. Our guide - David - was awesome! He was very knowledgeable and walked us through the castle telling us all the highlights. He had a great sense of humor, we couldn't stop cracking up and have learned a lot. Stonehenge and Bath was fabulous. It is a tight schedule but David did an amazing job to pack everything in one day. I highly recommend this tour!!!!! read more

My wife and I traveled to London and Paris for our Honeymoon for two weeks in the beginning of November 2011. Our trip on Premium Tours was one of only two full days in England, so a lot was riding on this trip since if it was bad it we wouldn't have much time to do anything else before leaving for France. We signed up for the Stonehenge, Windsor Castle, and Bath tour. I think lunch was supposed to be at some random place along the way. We chose to get picked up at 7:45am at a hotel that was a few blocks away from the one we were staying at. It was about 5 minutes late, but with London traffic, it's no big deal. We got to the bus station where all their tours leave from with plenty of time. There were several tours that were similar. The one we were on and another that had all those stops plus lunch in Lacock. There weren't a lot of people on either, so they combined them into one, so we got a free upgrade to a lunch in Lacock. A nice way to start off the tour! First off, our tour guide David was awesome! He was very knowledgeable and informative about the places were were seeing, but had lots of banter on the bus to keep things interesting. I think he really made the whole tour that much more enjoyable. Windsor Castle was the first stop. Before we even got there, David was pointing out history about where were driving through. We passed Runnymede (where the Magna Carta was signed) which you would never know about unless someone told you, as there are no signs for that. Going through the tour at Windsor Castle, we spent less time in areas David said weren't as interesting (like a room full of fancy dishes) and more time in areas that most would find more interesting (state rooms and areas with lots of artifacts). I would say we spent a good amount of time here and enjoyed it. We could have seen more if we had time, but we got to see the best parts. Stonehenge was next. Now I'm guessing that for anyone going on one of these tours, Stonehenge is the part you're most excited for. It was for us, and it did not disappoint! We drove up, no waiting and got right on in. We spent around 45 minutes here. As David was saying on the way up there, it doesn't sound like a lot of time, but it's enough. There isn't much known about so there isn't much to say about it. It's plenty of time to walk around it at a slow pace and take it all in. We had a beautiful day for our tour with only a few fluffy clouds in the sky, so I got some really great pictures! David took us around and talked some about what history is known but it wasn't so much that you couldn't enjoy it. This was also a place that if you wanted to walk around away from everyone else you could. Our time at Stonehenge was my favorite part of the tour! Lunch in Lacock was next up. David had taken our lunch orders ahead of time on the the bus and phoned ahead before our stop at Stonehenge, so the wait was minimal. The pub we ate at was good, and from what David said was much better than the place that we would have stopped at if we had been on our tour. There were a couple of different options for lunch, but only a few as to keep it easy for them to prepare food for 30 or so people. While I wasn't blown away by my meal, it was good and filling. After lunch, David said we had time for a quick walking tour of the town. It's a small quaint town where some famous films have been made, most notably some scenes for Harry Potter. We walked around for about 30 minutes or so while David talked about the towns history and specific things we passed. This was a nice treat for us. Bath was our next and final stop for the tour. We arrived around 4pm I believe. For this part of the tour, you're free to roam around on your own. We got there in time to tour the Roman Baths before they closed, but we decided not to. Instead, we just walked around and visited many of the shops. The whole place is basically shops, some chain stores but lots of local shops selling interesting things. We ended with some ice cream and met back up to depart at 6:30pm. It was dark by then so we felt like we got the most of that part of the tour. Yes, you could spend all afternoon there, as some of their packages allow you to do, but for us, the other parts were more important. Overall, we really enjoyed our tour! David, our guide, was amazing. Yes, some parts of the tour are a bit rushed. When you're trying to see a lot of stuff in one day and you're in a group, you can't stop and see everything, you have to keep up a pace. But I think that in general, we didn't miss seeing anything that we wanted to see. I would definitely book with Premium Tours again next time I go to England. read more

My Mother and I recently went on the Lunch in the Cotswolds tour. We booked somewhat last minute and were able to join the tour for the next day. The tour started at Victoria Coach Station, which was a bit chaotic, but once the bus gate number was available it was simple to board the bus with about 50 or so people. We then visited 4 different villages, including Bibury, which was absolutely stunning! Lunch at a local pub was provided and included in the tour ticket price. We then enjoyed afternoon tea at the last village. The villages were a good mix of history, shopping, sites and more. Our tour guide Frank and bus driver John were both amazing! They were welcoming and helpful the entire day. At the end of the day, Frank even made sure people knew what method of transit to get to their next destination in London. Overall, the tour was a great experience and perfect way to see the Cotswolds! read more

My husband and I were only in London for 3 days and definitely wanted to get to Stonehenge somehow so someone had suggested we look into an organized tour. Normally, we are a "do it on your own" kind of couple, but with such a hurried itinerary, we thought it best for someone to drive us around. We booked the £68 tour that took us to Windsor, Stonehenge, Lacock for lunch and Bath. The day was literally a 12 hour day for us, so definitely quite exhausting, but still very worth it. Our guide, David, was very knowledgeable and kept us all entertained on the bus ride, even though most of us would knock out the second the bus started moving. He was also very efficient; he made sure we were the first ones in at Windsor and ensured us the maximum amount of time we could possibly have with the schedule we were on. We were given approximately 40 minutes at Stonehenge, but honestly, how much time do you need to go around the perimeter of some large rocks? It was definitely amazing to see, but still, it IS a bunch of rocks! In Lacock (pronounced LAYcock... I kept calling it lahcock :( so don't make my mistake!), we had lunch at a small pub/inn that has a lot of historical significance... obviously I wasn't paying attention since I can't recall any of it! The included lunch at this pub was a choice of 4 things -- fish & chips, Beef wellington, wild rice roast and something else. Drinks were separate but extremely cheap so don't be afraid to go wild. We were also given some time to wander around the village, where many scenes from the various Harry Potter movies were shot. Very picturesque. Lastly, we were dropped off at Bath, where you could go into the Roman Baths (ticket price not included) and also wander around the town. Cute little town with many, many shops. All in all, a great trip and an awesome guide. Would recommend this tour to anyone I know. read more

I have been on the tour to Stonehenge on the coach on 17h August, the problem was during the return travel the coach has stopped working becouse out of petrol in the middle of the motor way,without the chance to ritch a safe place,as result we have been forced to get off the bus to try to avoid the cars hit the vehicle and Walking on the side of the motor way try to skip the cars .the replacement coach came just 3 hours after to fill the veichal in petrol, then it started working again.Police needed to came to try help.was really dangerous and I felt really worried for mine or someone else safety.Company offer me a complementary tour but of course I can trust them if this is the way to arrange their tour, thay refused to refund me, think about it before booking with this company they don't know how to work and they don't have any emergency protocol. read more

Family and I went on 2 tours booked through Premium; day trip to London and Stonehenge. The day trip to Paris was the best part of our trip to London and I'm really glad we did it. Our tour guide and driver were outstanding. Lunch in the tower and visiting the Louvre in one day was great. The Stonehenge visit, trip to Bath and Locke plus Windsor Castle was a fun, full day. Some suggestions: if you book online, you'll need to email them for a follow up outline of the trip. For Stonehenge, you'll need to go Victoria BUS station and NOT the train station. Both tours are very full days; you won't get back till 9-10 PM. I wish we would have had more time in Bath; great small town for shopping. I would use them again. read more

Booked the Windsor Castle, Stonehenge, Lacock, and Bath day tour. The coach was comfortable and the guide was knowledgable. Read some other reviews about the bus leaving you if you are late - our bus almost left someone! If you just want to hit the highlights, take this tour. If you want a more in depth tour of Windsor, this is not for you. Found the stops to be just enough time to see everything. Was disappointed in the Last stop in Bath as we arrived about 4:45 and all the shops closed at 5pm and the Roman Bath closed at 4:30! Everything was still on winter hours. The Bath stop was pretty much a waste. Would suggest they switch around the stops or forgo the hour lunch stop to get to bath in time and eat on our own. read more

Better off going alone. After arriving at Windsor and changing our daughters diaper on the bus the tour guid was no where to be found. We had to double pay to get in the castle or miss out. I don't think I've ever been so disappointed on a tour, and I've done MANY. To start, which I do take partial blame but was out of my control, I was stuck on the Tube (still unsure what the holdup was) for almost 30 minutes trying to get to the station which made me late. When I arrived I was looking at the two buses that were getting ready for departure for my tour. I actually watched the buses pull away because they said I was late and would not let me on. FURIOUS. So they said they could rebook me for another tour leaving shortly; however, this was a completely different tour than the one that I had booked. I had originally booked a tour for Stonehenge, Bath, and Windsor Castle- where I ended was Stonehenge, Bath, and Salisbury Cathedral. Now, it may not seem like a big deal; however, the price was about a $30 difference and I wanted to go to the Castle (big reason I picked that tour) and had no desire to go to Salisbury. Now, although my tour guide was lovely, the tour was not. With the traffic and time it takes to get to these locations we were rushed from place to place. We had less than an hour at Stonehenge, and it took 20 minutes waiting in line to get the shuttle. I literally ran around the stones, snapped, a few pictures and had to wait in line again to take the shuttle back. I did not have time to read the placards that provided information, sight see, or really take in the area as I was rushed. All this, to jump back on the bus for another hour ride to the next location. We did stop for lunch at a pub, which had a nice atmosphere but the food was less than mediocre. After lunch, back on the bus to Salisbury. Now this is where we spent the most amount of time with the least amount of time needed. This part of the all day trip really could have been lessened to allow for more time in Stonehenge or Bath. We hopped on the bus again for another few hours to travel to Bath. Getting to bath was a nice drive, but that's where we spent most of the time enjoying the city, from the bus windows. We had less than an hour in the city once we arrived. I had enough time to walk 2 streets, and grab a snack and a cup of tea. I was really mislead as I thought I would have time to enter the Roman Bath museum, but I found that not only did it cost about $20 but they also recommended 1 1/2 hours to 2 hours to really tour the building, time that we did not have. Although the destinations are nice, you definitely need more time at each. I would not suggest this tour to anyone EVER. Take a train, rent a car, take a public bus and spend some time on your own schedule. I spent A LOT of money for a tour I did not get, and spent more time on a bus then exploring the history and stories behind each of these places. I am extremely disappointed with this company and the service they provided. read more

Do Not Do Premium Tours!! Just Finished tour and there was NO ADVANTAGE!! Horrible meeting spot at Victoria Station, totally crowded and no organization! Volume is too low for your guide on buses! Traffic is so bad that we missed changing of the guard! Only 1 star for Tower of London, but you can do that tour on your own! Boat ride was super short and there was no group line for the London Eye so you have to wait in the regular, very long line!! I don't know what I just paid for with a Premium Tours!! They should rename it Disappointing Tours! Horrible! Don't do it! read more
