She didn't really listen to what we were looking for, and it felt like she wasn't very knowledgeable about the products. We actually gave up on that purchase. Thankfully, we came back and worked with Tyler, and the difference was night and day. He was incredibly knowledgeable about all the different trailer models and manufacturers, and he took the time to explain the warranty options in a way that was easy to understand. Tyler truly listened to our family's needs and helped us find the perfect trailer without ever making us feel pressured. Unlike other sales reps, he wasn't pushy during negotiations. Instead of giving us a flat "no," he genuinely worked with us and offered assistance to help bring the price down. If you're looking for someone who is knowledgeable, honest, and easy to work with, I highly recommend asking for Tyler as your sales representative! The 5 star is definitely all for Tyler!

Awful experience. One star is generous…read more We searched for a travel trailer for several months and visited Camping World multiple times. From the start, the experience felt less than welcoming. Customers are directed through the sales office, where access is blocked and are asked to sign in before browsing. During our first visit, we signed in and explored the inventory on our own. They had a good selection, but we didn't find what we were looking for, so we continued our search elsewhere. A few weeks later, we noticed a trailer that seemed perfect for us. We discussed it and scheduled an appointment with Curtis to talk about financing. We arrived excited, with excellent credit and every intention of purchasing. Unfortunately, the financing terms did not work for us. We were also given the impression that purchasing their bloated $2,500 "Let's Go Camping" package was essentially mandatory. The package included a basic starter kit and a walkthrough of the trailer's functions and operation. We were surprised to learn that even the trailer's power cord was not included if we declined the package. There was little effort made to negotiate. We left disappointed and resumed our search elsewhere. Weeks later, the trailer was still there. We decided we really wanted it and chose to move past the experience with Curtis. We secured our own financing and returned as cash buyers for our third--and final visit. We asked for Curtis, but he sent Simon out. We expressed interest and wanted to take another look. It was still exactly what we wanted, and we were ready to move forward. We made an offer, and Simon responded by searching online to see what other dealerships were charging for the same model. While that approach seemed unusual, we waited to see where the conversation would go. Mind you dealer listing are pre negotiations. He offered to talk to management about lowering the price by $1,000 to match a comparable listing and remove the $2,500 "Let's Go Camping" package, reducing the overall price by $3,500. Although we knew that as first time trailer owners, we needed the walkthrough, we agreed. A few minutes later, he brought back the paperwork. To our shock, the deal was not what had been discussed. Rather than removing the $2,500 bloated Camping Package, they removed the $999 weight distribution hitch and left the Camping Package on the contract. At no point did we agree to purchase the trailer without the hitch, nor were we consulted before it was removed. Considering that hitches can be purchased for significantly less than $999, the change felt misleading and contrary to what had been discussed. We told Simon it wasn't going to work. He asked us to wait a moment, because management would at least like to come say hello. He went and came back, alone - as they declined to come over. We genuinely tried to make the deal work, but at that point we walked away feeling frustrated and disappointed. Having the right trailer is only part of the buying experience. Equally important are communication, transparency, customer service, and a willingness to work with customers in good faith. In our experience, Camping World falls short in each of those areas. Fortunately, there are many other dealerships in the area. Shortly afterward, we found a trailer elsewhere, received excellent customer service, and completed our purchase through a dealership that treated us with respect. Their comparable camping package was only $500. Based on our experience, we would not recommend doing business with Camping World as a buyer or seller. I couldn't imagine having a trailer on consignment there, knowing they do business this way.

The staff were super friendly and attentive! I came in for a heat mold for my boots for the upcoming season. I had called a day prior to get a price quote on the service and was satisfied with the answer. When I came in, I was told a different price. After explaining that I was originally quoted the agreed upon price, Reili (staff member) agreed to honor the original price I was told. Once we got started with the heat mold process, Reili continued to be attentive and gave me time-reminders. Once I put the boots on, I still had a couple pressure spots that were bothersome on the top of my feet, he continued to observe and offered a solution to fix the issue. Overall I am extremely satisfied with this place and would HIGHLY recommend it for anyone looking to get their snow gear!

The store is well laid out, the products are all of fine quality, the prices are high. The staff are all friendly and welcoming. Dogs are allowed inside and the employees fawned over my Labrador retrievers. Happy vibes, cool. Do I need a pair of $30 thermal socks? Nope, but if I did Amazon has a house brand for $14.99, for 5 pairs. My Yelp Elite spouse did buy an insulated rain jacket here last year. Well made, comfortable, She likes it. $189. And here again my snark, the same type of jacket on Amazon is $35. I'll concede that the Orvis jacket might be better quality. Probably not $154 better because both it and the Amazon cheapie are made in China. I like to browse around this store to pretend that I'm a wealthy fly fishing / duck hunting sportsman who likes to dress well for those occasions. And in the evening inside the members hunting lodge the guys would say "Hey Sonoma-Valley-Tom you are looking good, is that Orvis that you're wearing?" As they go through great hurdles to make the customer happy and returning. The pricing is equal to all the competitors but the value is better because of their guarantee! Being a retailer that has been in business since 1857, and still privately family owned, they understand customer service and quality products!

Jump forward to the present day and "DICK'S Sporting Goods" takes the crown for the biggest and most complete selection of anything sports-related. This is a nationwide company that has been in operation since 1948 and since then (as of 2026), they have over 700 stores that are currently operating. The location I am focusing on is at the Stanford Crossing shopping center in Roseville, CA. Located directly off of Stanford Ranch Rd and tucked in between Fairway Dr and Five Star Blvd, this location has been around since mid-2017. What makes this idea is the close proximity to other major retailers as well as the very large parking lot. During the dozen or so times that I have been inside here, I have never had an issue finding a parking spot, even during peak holiday season and busy weekend days. Upon entering, you will notice that the store layout is massive. Soon, you will see how this place has just about everything you might need when it comes to sporting goods. The cash registers/customer service area and the lines for checkout are to the immediate right. Navigating around isn't too difficult as many of the aisles give you the feeling as if you are not bumping into anyone. I also wanted to add that there are two restrooms towards the very rear left part of the store. On any given day, there are dozens upon dozens of employees/staff everywhere; usually they are dressed in a green shirt with trousers and athletic shoes. To put things into perspective, they carry a huge assortment of gear pertaining to all types of sports; baseball, football, basketball, golf, hockey, lacrosse, pickleball, tennis, soccer, softball, volleyball, and much more. You will also find a nice variety of outdoor and camping travel essentials that include tents, sleeping bags, outerwear, and ski equipment. Additionally, their fitness/cardio selection is vast with a ton of treadmills, ellipticals, and everything to get your home gym going. I've purchased a mountain bike here that has been great so far. And let me tell you about their clothing line & shoes; here you will find a wide inventory of men's/women's/kids clothes apparel, sports jerseys, and all types of shoes. During my most recent visit, I needed a comfortable, long-lasting pair of reliable walking shoes. After narrowing down my selection, I finally settled with the Brooks "Glycerin 22" series that provided the support and comfort I was looking for. Also keep in mind for the deep discounts this place offers. These shoes were selling for $164.99 but there was an online Dick's Sporting Goods coupon that were selling these for $114.99. Even better, with every purchase over $100.00, I received a $20.00 of coupon which brought my total to $94.99 + tax. Not bad for a pair of quality walking shoes. All in all, "Dick's Sporting Goods" is a very good above average retailer with an absolutely large variety of options. The only negative thing I would say is that their customer service isn't top notch as the employees that worked in the shoe area weren't the most knowledgeable in answering my questions. Not a big deal since I heavily researched these shoes prior to coming here. I think it all depends on which employee works where. For instance, my bike purchase (back in 2020) was amazing but this experience was just average. Aside from minor things like that, I am still going to give the Roseville Dick's Sporting Goods a respectable four star rating.

After reading some fine print, we realized we weren't able to complete the process Online, so we ventured out to Dick's to buy ourselves a treadmill. When we got to the store, Joey found us looking over the floor model and got us a code so we could try it out. After both my wife and I tinkered with it, running and walking, we told Joey we wanted one. And we also wanted it delivered and setup in our home (part of the promotion). There was a little confusion regarding the inventory, but after some networking around the store along with the store's manager, James, it was determined that the model we wanted was not readily available in store. So Joey got on the phone with the Folsom store and got us squared away with the promotion we wanted along with delivery and setup. Yes we had to travel over to the Folsom store, but Joey and James made the arrangements for us very easy--and James gave us a $25 Gift Card for the waiting and travel we had to go through to get our machine. We will be returning. Big thanks to Joey and James for the exemplary service! Now... Time to get some miles in...
