He was incredibly knowledgeable about all the different trailer models and manufacturers, and he took the time to explain the warranty options in a way that was easy to understand. Tyler truly listened to our family's needs and helped us find the perfect trailer without ever making us feel pressured. Unlike other sales reps, he wasn't pushy during negotiations. Instead of giving us a flat "no," he genuinely worked with us and offered assistance to help bring the price down. Awful experience. One star is generous. We searched for a travel trailer for several months and visited Camping World multiple times. From the start, the experience felt less than welcoming. Customers are directed through the sales office, where access is blocked and are asked to sign in before browsing. During our first visit, we signed in and explored the inventory on our own. They had a good selection, but we didn't find what we were looking for, so we continued our search elsewhere. A few weeks later, we noticed a trailer that seemed perfect for us. We discussed it and scheduled an appointment with Curtis to talk about financing. We arrived excited, with excellent credit and every intention of purchasing. Unfortunately, the financing terms did not work for us. We were also given the impression that purchasing their bloated $2,500 "Let's Go Camping" package was essentially mandatory. The package included a basic starter kit and a walkthrough of the trailer's functions and operation. We were surprised to learn that even the trailer's power cord was not included if we declined the package. There was little effort made to negotiate. We left disappointed and resumed our search elsewhere. Weeks later, the trailer was still there. We decided we really wanted it and chose to move past the experience with Curtis. We secured our own financing and returned as cash buyers for our third--and final visit. We asked for Curtis, but he sent Simon out. We expressed interest and wanted to take another look. It was still exactly what we wanted, and we were ready to move forward. We made an offer, and Simon responded by searching online to see what other dealerships were charging for the same model. While that approach seemed unusual, we waited to see where the conversation would go. Mind you dealer listing are pre negotiations. He offered to talk to management about lowering the price by $1,000 to match a comparable listing and remove the $2,500 "Let's Go Camping" package, reducing the overall price by $3,500. Although we knew that as first time trailer owners, we needed the walkthrough, we agreed. A few minutes later, he brought back the paperwork. To our shock, the deal was not what had been discussed. Rather than removing the $2,500 bloated Camping Package, they removed the $999 weight distribution hitch and left the Camping Package on the contract. At no point did we agree to purchase the trailer without the hitch, nor were we consulted before it was removed. Considering that hitches can be purchased for significantly less than $999, the change felt misleading and contrary to what had been discussed. We told Simon it wasn't going to work. He asked us to wait a moment, because management would at least like to come say hello. He went and came back, alone - as they declined to come over. We genuinely tried to make the deal work, but at that point we walked away feeling frustrated and disappointed. Having the right trailer is only part of the buying experience. Equally important are communication, transparency, customer service, and a willingness to work with customers in good faith. In our experience, Camping World falls short in each of those areas. Fortunately, there are many other dealerships in the area. Shortly afterward, we found a trailer elsewhere, received excellent customer service, and completed our purchase through a dealership that treated us with respect. Their comparable camping package was only $500. Based on our experience, we would not recommend doing business with Camping World as a buyer or seller. I'm sure they won't! So sad because I need warranty work done, and they are an authorized dealer. I'm driving all the way to Medford to get someone competent to work on my Winnebago van. Horrible experience here. The time came to sell our RV. It was fun while it lasted but ultimately the expense wasn't the right fit for us. Moreover we just didn't use this mode for a good portion of our travels. We made some calls to sell it on consignment. Ultimately we found camping world presented a fair option. We arranged a price over the phone that was subject to onsite inspection. Seemed reasonable enough. We knew our rig was in top condition. Upon arrival we met up with our consignment dude Michael. He present a great dirt impression but we wanted to follow through. After a lengthy inspection we sat down to hash out details. This is where things got sour. Michael low balled us and made up a story that the depreciation was so significant that our price was not achievable. He said even at his price the RV would sit for the 99 day consignment and not sell. It was a horrible time to sell and the new model year would create an all but impossible situation. During the inspection they screwed up the levelers and the alarm was sounding. He said they couldn't fix it and we would need to drive it away with the obnoxious alarm. We ultimately left it there so service could make it right. We picked it up the next day and took it to camping world in Vacaville. Upon arrival it was the most pleasant experience. They took a look at our RV and were extremely happy to be able to consign it. The inspection went well. They told us it would be on the lot the next day at the higher price. We were beyond happy the RV sold at an acceptable price the very next day. I suggest you avoid this place. They're crooks trying to pull off a bait and switch. Michael is the worst! read more

Well I tried to give Camping world business for parts after they failed miserably in sales. After being on hold for a very long time someone at the parts counter answered. He was professional and friendly but didn't have the part he offered to order it in store if I wanted to come in or I could do it online. They are about 45 minutes from me so I did the online thing I placed my order on July 11th for a $38 switch. I never got the part and as my trip got closer I found it at Walmart on line and received it in two days. I just got back from my trip and still have not got my part. I called Camping world customer service and again the person on the phone was very nice and said that it was shipped FedEx on June 12 th and the last update was June 26th and it was still in transit. I asked for a refund and was told that I would have to wait another 24 to 48 hours to talk to the refund team. So for a part I never received. I was on hold for 20 to 30 minutes to get told I could order the part. I spent 5 minutes ordering the part. Waited nearly a month and never got the part spent 15 minutes on the phone checking the status of the part and now I am waiting again to try to get my refund from the refund team. I am sorry Camping World I have tried twice to give you business and you have failed. I prefer brick and mortar stores but I can see why your stores are closing. Your system is broken. I guess Walmart will get my business for RV parts. read more

It's been awhile, but this piss-poor review is way overdue---that's how mad I was at the time, and still am. We had a like-brand-new travel trailer that we wanted to sell as we had upgraded to a larger fifth-wheel. We opted to place the unit at a consignment lot over 250 miles away---that's a full day to move it, plus two tanks of diesel fuel, but there was already a potential buyer interested in it, so we moved it. Meanwhile, my husband wanted to see what this Camping World might offer for it as an outright sale, as they advertised how fantastic they are. My husband spoke to a salesman and forwarded dozens of photos inside and out, a copy of the original invoice listing EVERYTHING about the unit, including VIN number, make, model, exact type of trailer, every single feature and option. We had added solar to it, so added all of the information and photos for that. Every. Last. Detail. The salesman called my husband and said he could make us a great offer right then and there because it's an in-demand make and model. He did indeed make us a great offer, more than we would have gotten selling it through the consignment lot. My husband had the conversation on speakerphone, so I heard all of it as well. We repeated that the trailer was parked 250 miles away, and it was a big expense to go get it back up to Roseville, so don't jerk us around if this wasn't a firm offer. The salesman assured us it absolutely was. We talked it over and decided okay---I'll repeat the drive and go get it. We show up with it and the same salesman wasn't there until the next day, so they asked us to just drop it off, which we did. The next day we get a phone call from this guy---oh golly gee, his bad, he didn't realize this was a trailer, not a motorhome. WHAT PART OF THE DOZENS OF PHOTOS, VIN AND SALES INVOICE DESCRIBING THE EXACT MAKE AND MODEL FORWARDED TO YOU DID YOU NOT UNDERSTAND??? Oh golly gee, his bad, oh gosh darn it. Then says he "thinks" he can "maybe" still sell it but then makes us an offer LESS THAN HALF of what he had described as a rock-solid offer two days before. My husband and I both said WTF, this is NOT what you said. More oh golly gee, aren't-I-a-silly-goose, but just to say sorry for the "inconvenience", they could up their offer by a thousand dollars. Which didn't even cover the cost of diesel for driving the same miles as Sacramento to Billings, Montana, let alone lost wages and wear-and-tear on my truck. F*ck you, buddy. This was an absolute and deliberate scam and they didn't give the first rat's ass that we had dropped a couple thousand dollars bringing the unit back up north (I'm self-employed and if I don't work, I don't get paid, so it's real money and it matters.) We told him to go screw himself and picked up the rig without so much as an apology or attempt to make things right. He just stood inside the building with his hands in his pockets watching us hook up. I spent an hour going back through my email trying to find the name of this sales guy and no luck. It doesn't much matter, because it wasn't just this ONE guy---we sent an email complaint to the manager and never heard a word back. This whole place is a deliberate and intentional scam operation. BTW, after being assured they were offering us the very very very best price available *anywhere*, we eventually sold the unit privately for a price way above what they said its retail value was. They just wanted to fleece us and hoped we would roll over once we were already losing money. Don't just walk----RUN from this place. We purchased our 21' bumper pull from Village RV in 2010. Camping World bought them out. I t was time to bring our trailer in for service and decided that trade it in. We found exactly what we wanted in a used trailer 2024. New enough. Our salesman was very nice but once the initial sale is over he is done with us and we were handed off to whoever is next. We were told if we pay this outrageous "let's go camping" fee of 2500.00 our trailer will be like brand new. Well, let the disappointment begin. This trailer was filthy. Under the stove top, under the chairs total filth. The "DAMN TANKS WERE FULL". I would expect less than perfect from a private owner but not from a business specializing in sales. My wife and I are first time buyers and first time going into the ever lifestyle. We went to location and sales person showed us a travel trailer for 19,999. When it was time to do the paperwork and purchase he came back with a price of 27k. I asked where did this number come from as we were in shock. The sales person stated it was the cost or package if we want it that included them to inspect the travel trailer and make sure everything is working and ask teach us how to use the travel trailer and go over everything on the trailer. My wife and I were in shock and very disappointed and felt like a scam! They wanted to charge us to inspect an even they are selling and also charge us to show us how the event works. RED FLAG!! RUN AWAY - DONT EVEN WALK CLOSE TO THIS DEALER I've waited 3 months before I write this review. Just to make sure I'm not being trigger happy. The customer service / respect here is diabolical. The sales team do not know anything about the product they are selling, I was in fact more knowledgeable about the product line than 3 different sales members, I even taught them things they had absolutely no clue about. Then they tried to charge me a $1500 fee to "learn the product basics".... The financial advisor "Kenny" appears to be high on coke, meth or Adderall, as he can't sit still, can't slow down his talking to allow the customer a chance to absorb what he is saying / selling - great way to slip extra costs into the deal. After my purchase the after service team are equally clueless and don't know anything about the product. My trailer has 6 items that need addressing, but no one can help, also can't get a service appointment for a further 2 months...... It's taken 3 months to chase down a response for warranty work, that Kenny assured me was covered on the extended warranty service plan, to find out none of the issues are covered. Essentially Kenny conned me out of $3000 for a plan that will not cover any issues with my trailer. I've also called 5 other camping worlds to get the same answer. It seams that this is camping world's sales plan taught to each and every location. I now have a trailer that is a health hazard that I can't use and have to pay out of pocket as the warranty/ service plan won't cover any of the 6 issues. I should have bought private party. I went down to the dealership with enough cash to buy a trailer. I was hoping to get in and out quick with a cash deal, and go play with my camper. I walked into the sales room with an appointment. Sales bro was almost annoyed to show me campers, but we went and looked at 2 different 2025 Coleman 17B's with slightly different floor plans. I picked one that made sense. I was hoping to get out of there for $11k OTD on a new one. They didn't go for that, so the sales guy showed me a 2024 that they were willing to sell for that OTD price. This is where I messed up... I should have inspected it thoroughly. But I'll get to that later. Anyway, after some back and forth, I run over to the bank, get them a bank check. I still have to sit around and wait, and talk to some finance manager guy who sells me on some warranty crap that I ended up cancelling later. Then they send me to the store to buy a bunch of accessories that are required (some of which were already in the camper, so now I have double sewer hoses and stuff -- another "my bad" where I should have payed more attention). OK, I'm ready to get the damn camper. When they pull it around front, I notice that the little covers for the awning are missing. I ask the sales guy about them, and he responds with "Yeah, they're not giving those to you for a $9,500 camper". I ask him how much they cost "they're like $20"... thanks sales bro... that's awesome. At this point, all I want to do is get home, and I'll figure it out later (my mistake, I should have hounded them for every little thing). I get my camper home, and the next day I see it in the sunlight. I realize this thing has been a rental unit, and absolutely brutalized by previous users of it. Nobody at the dealership told me this had been a rental unit. I fix a bunch of issues: * peeling cabinetry paper * some melted plastic gunk that had dropped into the fireplace * bought those damn $20 awning motor cover caps * fixed the electric trailer jack that stopped working * reconnected the 12v propane / carbon monoxide alarm that had its wires ripped out Then 2 weeks later... the rain hit, and I realize that the roof on this thing is totally trashed. ALL of the lap sealant needs to be redone because water is getting into the trailer. So now I'm fixing that. Basically, I could have gotten the exact same camper from a private party and saved myself $3k, and not had to sit at the dealership for 3 freaking hours while they clearly did NOTHING to inspect the trailer before giving it to me. It is plainly obvious that they didn't inspect anything at all on this trailer, they just dragged it out, and sent me on my way. I am convinced the service department doesn't actually work on stuff, and the service team has no idea whats going on either. Family bought a motorhome in November and hasn't been able to use it a single time. First the bed motor needed to be fixed. Then the jacks. then THEY broke a mirror. took another month or so to fix. Got it back and the radio/screen/cameras don't work. What a dumpster fire. Mirror and radio all worked when it was purchased. Every time they touch it, it gets worse. Ridiculous. read more

They are all about calling you daily when you make an inquiry about potentiality making a purchase. However, during and after you do make a purchase it goes silent and it's nearly impossible to get questions answered. Our purchasing experience was not a good one. Bad communication between the sales and finance departments. Bad communication between sales and parts. Only reason we stuck it out with them was because of the price they were giving us. To Whom It May Concern, My name is Felicia Moore, and on February 18, 2024, my mother and I purchased a 2023 Dutchmen Atlas 3312RL from your Roseville location. What was supposed to be an exciting investment has turned into an exhausting nightmare. Since day one, this trailer has been nothing but a source of stress and disappointment. It's already been in the shop twice--once for over six weeks and another time for two weeks--for problems that should never exist in a brand-new unit. We're talking about: Severe leaks from both the shower and toilet A bathroom pocket door that won't open or close properly Vinyl peeling off the walls Wood trim coming loose A broken bathroom cupboard A CO2 sensor that has never worked A propane connection I've had to replace twice A power plug port pulling away from the trailer Wallpaper bubbling and peeling in multiple areas And to top it off, I specifically asked for the floor to be checked for water damage when the shower tracks were replaced--and I'm pretty sure that was ignored. This trailer cost over $60,000. For that price, I expected quality, reliability, and support. Instead, I've gotten a poorly assembled unit that's falling apart piece by piece, and two Camping World locations that seem completely indifferent to my concerns. The lack of communication, accountability, and urgency is infuriating. I feel like I was either sold a lemon or misled entirely about the condition of this trailer. I'm beyond frustrated, and at this point, I would absolutely not recommend Camping World to anyone. The experience has been disheartening, and the lack of support has made it even worse. read more

Seriously the most sketchiest practices, went in Sunday found an RV we like, agreed on 1k down, Manger even approved it, verified eligibility with a credit check and then the sales rep called their preferred insurance agency and had us pay for insurance up front ($300), stating it was mandatory and we would come back Saturday to finalize the sale when we don't have 3 little kids in tow. Everything seemed fine at this point, the Sales Rep and us even bonded over is all being Vets. Received a call yesterday confirming our pick up on Saturday and that we had everything we need. Today the sales rep calls and states the deal can't go through unless we put 3k down (more than the 10% they typically require), we declined and asked for our insurance money back. To which they responded "you signed up for that on your own" Like... what.... Then they proceeded to run 2 more unauthorized credit checks. When we asked to talk to the manager he conveniently wasn't in. They have sketchy practices and upon speaking to an attorney found out that they get sued a lot for these practices. We have purchased two trailers from Camping World Roseville. The first trailer we purchased in late 2023-early 2024. This processes was seamless and the trailer never had any warranty work done. Fast forward about a year to late '24-early '25 and our experience was vastly different. We decided to upgrade our trailer as we needed more space. The sales team is fantastic, very communicative, helpful, easy to deal with. The issues started the second we got the trailer home. We had a big storm run through and the first morning after bringing it home the roof was leaking from the AC. The toilet was not fastened to the floor correctly, lights weren't working, etc. The hitch that we purchased with the trailer was not set up anywhere near correctly and was not distributing weight back to the front axle of the truck causing the front end to be very loose. I have brought the trailer back no less than 5 times since January for several issues. I am no expert, however; it doesn't appear that any real PDI (Pre Delivery Inspection) was done. If it was, these issues surely would have been caught. The biggest issue to date, outside of the leak, was that the AC never worked. The service department is extremely difficult to work with because of their inability to accurately communicate. I understand that it takes a long time to get parts delivered, I don't hold that against them at all. My issue is their communication. I have been told that I will get my trailer back "the next day" and then tried to communicate with the reps only to not hear back. At times, it felt as though my trailer was being held hostage without being advised of a later pickup time. My most recent trip was to get the AC replaced. The parts finally came in, at least a month after diagnosis, so I dropped it off on a Thursday evening. I was told I would get my trailer back on Friday. I emailed and called several times with no response. The trailer sat there for another night. I called several times again on Saturday and finally got in touch with someone who I will not name. This person, as well as many other service reps, essentially made me feel as though the blame was being placed on me. This was after I had been told by this person at least two times that I would receive a call back by the end of the day, only to be left with no phone call. The service reps commonly say that "they're very busy and can't always get to the phone, or communicate". Well, as a customer, the last thing I want to hear is that you're too busy. The customer service at the service department is absolutely horrendous. To top it off, i picked my trailer up after getting the AC replaced on Saturday 7/26. About a week later, on 8/2 I received a call from service stating that my trailer was ready to be picked up. This was odd as my trailer had been sitting in my backyard for a week after picking it back up, and NOW it was ready to be picked up? This clearly indicates a lack of knowledge as to what is going on in the service department. The only reason they got two stars was for the sales department. The service department is clearly overworked and understaffed, creating frustrated customers who wish they chose somewhere else to spend 10's of thousands of dollars on a travel trailer. I was told by several friends/family members not to purchase from camping world, man, I wish I would have listened. read more

Being that we are newly feral owners, we tend to visit Camping World locations often. This one is definitely one of the smaller locations that we've been to versus others. During the visit here there were about three or four associates working I would say at least two of the four associates Asked if we needed any assistance with anything. The most basics that you may need this location would have that. But there will be someone off where you would expect to see someone of the same items, but not always the case. We bought a fifth wheel there last fall, 2023. It was damaged and was an insurance fix which went well. I was skeptical, but the trailer was really beautiful. Well, don't trust sales people. Look through everything twice. We finally got the trailer home when we discover one slide sticks on the way out and it cracked the siding. We had no recourse because we signed off on the inspection that everything worked. The slides came in just fine. Going out was another story. Now we have a water problem. Amazingly, Camping World took it back and fixed it. We then had to bring it back for another issue which we agreed to pay for. I am satisfied with how they handled our issue. My husband did a thorough check before we left ( he has many years experience with cars, trucks, and RVs) and we still almost burned ourselves. Just take your time and be thorough! Most of the sales staff is rude and high pressure. I went into there RV sales department and was looking for a traveler trailer . The first thing he ask me (Are You Buying Today ) . Told him my wife is out of town and she has an input on the trailer. We bought our Cougar fifth wheel in December. We dropped it off in Feb after our first shake down trip. There was a huge list of items to be corrected. They clearly didn't inspect the camper before releasing it to us. There were lines they didn't connect, paneling that was not secure, doors that were crooked and not on hinge correctly, the shower had a crack, the center island was wobbly, they were 2 screws sticking out of the vinyl which will eventually poke holes through. I will say, it's a beautiful camper and it'll be wonderful but they didn't take care with this one and trying to pass it off to us without inspecting and now taking 3 months to make these repairs. AND they broke our fridge while doing so. Now that is ok order which we've been waiting 2 weeks for. We've filed a complaint with their corporate office and hope to get some type of resolution. I wouldn't buy from Camping World, but if you do, CHECK EVERYTHING before walking away with the keys! read more

I had previously had very good experiences at other stores in this chain, so I tried to go in and and look to see what they had. In the first place, if you are disabled, you will need to climb a ramp in order to get to the lot. The door is stiff and challenging to open. After fighting with the ramp and the door, I was told, they would let me onto the lot to look around unless I was accompanied by a salesman. So I may try the Yuba City store but this store has informed me they have no interest in my money. read more

If i could mark their customer service a 0 i would. I bought a trailer on May 10th 2025. We went to look at the trailer on May 3rd. It was a used trailer. We were told the blinds that were broken would be fixed. They weren't. Shelves we were told would be tacked into place werent and we had shelves all over the ground. We spent 3,000 dollars for them to do a walk through and make sure everything was good for us to leave with. We got home and the door doesn't latch properly unless the dead bolt is locked. Then we plugged in and set everything up for the fridge to be broken. It sits at 50 degrees in the fridge and 20 in the freezer. I have called them 4 times in the last month. Was told they would get back to me and havent gotten back to me once. read more

DO NOT BUY YOUR RV FROM CAMPING WORLD - RUN DON'T WALK AWAY FROM THIS DEALER! They do not stand behind their product nor their customers! Sold us an RV with a known subpar railing system in it, it took them over 2 years to fix the handle on our refrigerator and when they ruined our floor during their repair of the railing system, they tried to blame us. Not to mention we lost almost an entire camping season. Now that we've traded their camper in with another dealer, they won't even reimburse us the full amount of our warranty! We came today to look at the trailers. My family member is very interested in purchasing one but after spending a lot of time looking on the computer, he wanted to actually walk through them. The sales associate was extremely rude because we had taken 45 minutes of his time. If we are spending $50,000 is it unreasonable to spend some time making the right decision? Kenny in finance was awesome! My husband and I signed papers for our new coach with him and he went above and beyond to go over everything thoroughly and answer every question or concern we threw at him. He was super upfront and real with us which we appreciated. We have had a few hiccups with the coach since and he still continued to answer all of our calls going above and beyond again to make sure we got the assistance needed and kept open and consistent communication with us. 7-10-2021 We purchased a 42 foot Forest River 5th wheel. After visiting a few other dealers, this place was more friendly and understood our needs. Thanks to John and James (Sales), they both tagged teamed this sale together and made it happen. We were shown approx 10 units that were very comparable in what we were looking for. We walked and walked back and forth in the HEAT. Confused and not sure which one to choose. I know it was very HOT and we kept going back and forth from a nice cool office to the outdoor HEAT setting. Both John and James were very patient with us. This was very important to me, showing great customer care on their behalf. By the time we decided on this unit, we were starving, so we decided to leave and eat lunch. We advised both sales team we were going to grab a bite to eat. They probably THOUGHT we weren't going to come back LOL Upon our arrival after our bellies full of yummy, we asked John (James had gone home for the day at this point) if we could see all the units AGAIN, to make sure. He was very accommodating. He showed us another unit, they originally THOUGHT they had shown us previously. I'm glad we saw this unit, because this was the unit we ultimately purchased. Little did we know, upon our walk through of the exterior, we noticed it had an outdoor bar area with sink and fridge, which was a big plus. We set this unit in my back yard and have it all set up as if we were camping. Upon hooking up the power, we were astonished to see it had lighting under the kitchen island and around the ceiling. I will include these pictures to show how awesome they look at night. I must give Kudos to john in the service dept, because we didn't know what the ends of the plugs looked like on unit. Our electrician need this information to wire up trailer the correct way. John took photos of each end of the cord and emailed them to me. Now trailer is properly hooked up. Financing was great as Twyla did an amazing job walking us through all options. By Monday, she gave us a call as our interest rate was reduced. We signed on the dotted line and she arranged for our final walk through with John (darn how many john's work here... lol) He walked us through everything in operating and setting up this unit. There were a few things we had to asked over and over again, and he explained things in which we could understand. Again, great customer care. We are very happy with this unit and the help with all departments that assisted us. read more

We had an appointment to have an oil change in our motorhome for March 31, but got a phone call from our daughter this morning (the 6th) that my sister had a stroke and possibly could have another and we knew we needed to get home. So called camping world and they squeezed us in and also checked the tires and the transmission. They were so gracious and even gave us a discount. I highly recommend them. read more
