Sometimes she's a little hard to get a hold of/to get to call you back, however she ALWAYS comes through in the clutch. She is a very busy lady, and has at least 1 wedding every weekend, but when it comes to the date of your event, you feel like you are the only one. I contacted them via email and George McCabe, the owner, called and emailed me back immediately. After 3 years of event planning in my professional life and contacting a few dozen vendors for our wedding, I am delighted to recommend George and his services to anybody who needs a bartender. George at North Shore Bartending was one of the easiest and most pleasant vendors I have ever dealt with. Our venue and ceremony had atypical timing, but George didn't sweat it and made sure that everything went off without a hitch. Their rates were really reasonable as well. The biggest challenge we threw at George was that our color scheme was purple and silver so we wanted a purple signature drink. Not only that, but we wanted the drink to feature a special lychee liqueur, Lichido. George worked for weeks to develop a drink that not only looked the right purple shade, but also tasted great. I pictured him like a mad scientist stirring up cocktails in his libation lab. He told me stories about how his wife and daughter were even privy to tasting his concoctions. That amazed me that he was working on our specialty drink even at home. It was all worth it. Our guests were raving about the final result all night. Even the men were slurping them up! This is the first time I am uploading a photo on Yelp because I think the photo speaks for itself. I never got to personally thank George (yes, he even bartended at our wedding so I was glad to finally meet the man in person!) because I was dancing when he closed the bar for the night. Emails and phone calls would go unanswered. 2 months before the wedding he defended his lack of action by telling my wife "well it's a long time until your wedding." He would not provide invoices when asked. We then had my father in law take over dealing with them, who finally succeeded in securing a contract after additional prodding from our event coordinator. 3 days before the wedding George called my wife again and did not seem to remember any of the details of his conversations with my father in law. He responded to this by saying "I didn't write it down" and asked for his phone number again. As I said, the service on the day of was great. The management, however, cannot seem to keep track of anything and only added unnecessary headaches to our wedding planning. We had to use them due to a contract with our venue, but if not for this we would have dropped them long before the day. Avoid at all costs.

A few months before the wedding, you meet with him and he asks you a few basic questions to make sure your impending marriage is legit, discusses all of the options there are for putting together your ceremony. He doesn't have any opinions regarding formality, just some suggestions based on what you say you want regarding formality, traditions, etc. He'll match his attire to match your ceremony vibe, too. After we booked him, he sent us easily 75 pages of documents spanning from really traditional to really offbeat, and let us piece that together into one cohesive ceremony ourselves, making adjustments where we wanted. He then nicely proofread it for us and gave us some feedback on it so we could improve it. On the wedding day, he arrived in his judge robe with the ceremony discretely in an iPad, and did a wonderful job performing the ceremony. He also gets bonus points for being patient after the ceremony, because the photographer moved my checkbook and we spent easily 10 minutes with 3 people ransacking the hotel room before we found it...and then my pen died while I was writing the check, and all he did was congratulate me on my new marriage.

We had a family friend who was going to put together some floral pieces to use for the mandap and everything seemed great The two stars came off for me during the wedding weekend. The team came to the venue early to set up the mandap and did not even ask us if we wanted to see it and didn't ask for our florals. We were supposed to have an arch, which also hadn't been put up. When I contacted Shruti her response was that we had to put the floral pieces up ourselves as it wasn't in the contract and the previous week the arch fell down so they decided not to put it up. That's the last thing a bride wants to hear at midnight before her wedding day. After I realizing that I was extremely upset, she spoke with my husband, and they agreed to send an employee the next morning to put up the florals, but it totally ruined my night. I also wasn't offered any portion of money back for not having an arch. The decor was beautiful in the end, but I'd have rather gone with someone who wouldn't have put me through that.
