It's not about what you say--it's about HOW you say it. Additionally, the service took a long time. I felt really bad for the cashier because she was the only one working, which meant my order took about 20 minutes to make. She was balancing two other transactions as well... I remained patient but left feeling a little disrespected. I completely understand the pain & stress of being in customer service, but you shouldn't take it out on others. Maybe she was just having a bad day, but I was hurt by her demeanor (I felt like I had to apologize just for being there). Anyways, the bowl was yummy and filling, so it boosted my mood immediately. I got the U-N-I-T-Y bowl and ate it outside. Very refreshing! I also got a banana smoothie. It was pretty bland, but luckily I was full from the açaí bowl. I would come here again. We went inside. They have large boards with some inspirational words left by guests. They have some games and a few tables for seating. I decided to go with the Just Peachy bowl, this has peach, papaya, dates, banana, strawberry and coconut. My friend got the Tropical Paradise, hers came with açaí, almond milk, banana and blueberry. We waited for around 20 minutes for our bowls to be ready. Mine was a nice yellow color, topped with strawberries, banana and coconut. It looked absolutely delicious. I had my first bite, this tasted like nothing... I went for another spoonful, I couldn't taste the peach at all, or the papaya. All I could taste was a bit of the banana. I took my bowl to the register. There were three high school aged girls. I told them "hi I'm sorry, this isn't good at all. I can't taste the peach." Girl A, asks the other two, "who made it?" One of them raises her hand. "I did" I'm not sure why it matters who made it, the point is it isn't good. All three of them are staring at me. Girl B, says " I'm not sure why you can't taste the peach, we followed the recipe." They didn't do anything for me in regards to the bad tasting bowl. It got pretty awkward when they all stared at me with their arms folded. I sat back down, I was pretty angry. My friend shared her bowl with me, hers was really tasty, rich in blueberry and açaí, just as it should be. I will not be returning to this Liquid Nirvana again. I had about three spoons of my Just Peachy bowl, and my friend had one, just to confirm that it had no taste. The rest was sadly in the trash. UPDATE Since I wrote my review, the owner Rosy, has reached out and offered her sincerest apologies for the way that the situation was handled on my most recent visit to Liquid Nirvana. She said that she could see that some more training of the young people working there was necessary. She refunded my friend's credit card, who purchased our bowls, without me or my friend even asking her to do so. Her efforts to execute me a satisfied customer, were genuine and so much appreciated! I will for sure be revisiting the Glastonbury location and the brand new Farmington location. For the above reasons I am updating my review to 5 stars!

It's always been a dream of his and he's giving it his all. The grand opening was back in April and has been doing great business. This smoothie and juice bar serves a wide variety of smoothies, açaí bowls, sea moss, juice refreshers, wellness shots and energy and detox drinks. The sugar was just enough to make the drink a smoothie, but not enough to make it melted-popsicle-syrupy like a slush-puppy. It was refreshing and clearly, not loaded with unnecessary ingredients. People walking around us seemed to be happy with the pina coladas, but I didn't try those myself. Recommendation? We could tell that some may have been online but let's remember that we walked in as they were opening. We waited an hour and 35 minutes to get paninis and smoothies and started noticing the people that had come in behind us and online orders were getting their food before us. We went to the front counter to ask, "Why are people getting their orders before us?" and we expressed that it was because they placed their orders online and that online orders had their own process. We were unable to accept this as we were their first clients of the day. We waited an hour and a half and people behind us and all non-orders were receiving their food before us. This was not just about the customer service and speed at which we received our order. We ordered a banana and peanut butter panini and two apple and cheese paninis, of which the bread was dry. There were barely any ingredients on the sandwich and it just did not taste good at all. This may be my first time saying I do not recommend a restaurant but this time I must say it. I can say the establishment was clean. It's an open kitchen where you can see the restaurant. They had games for kids to play and the ingredients seem to be fresh. I just spoke with the owner and got a better understanding of what happened. While I won't adjust what was said I will say the due to the fresh ingredients, situational challenges and promptness of reply of the owner, I will adjust my review as to not hurt this local small business.
