I used to leave my German Shepherd here very often for years. She always loved coming here. The staff was always nice and had a good relationship with her. The inside of the facility is clean and they have webcams so you can check on your pet. It was always a great experience for me and my dog. Even when she passed away they were truly sad about it. This is my go to place when I go out of town. I had to take my dog in on a very short notice they were able to get him in. The facility is big with a lot of space for your pet to run and socialize with other dogs. My dog is a shih tzu/yorshire mix and he has a lot of energy and this place gives him all the exercising he needs. The staff is very nice and you can tell they care about your pet. The facility is clean and I personally like the fact that there are doggie cameras that allow you to watch your dog online. If you live in the Longwood/Casselberry area and are looking for a facility to board your pet, I recommend Preppy Pet suites. You will not regret it. read more

I've only had contact with the facility manager twice, my girlfriend has spoken with him a few times. Tony, the manager, seemed friendly to me and my girlfriend was impressed by him. She was a vet tech for many years and knows what to look for. We were worried since our dog is an 11 y/o bulldog who needs her eyes looked after and ears flushed. When we picked her up she seemed fine. Tony described his experiences with taking care of our bulldog to be exactly the way we would describe it. Our dog's ears smelled clean and she wasn't shaking her head or scratching and her eyes looked pretty clear for first thing in the morning. The facility smells clean and looks clean. We met another customer while we were there who says she and her daughters having been using this service for a while and have been happy. We plan on using this service again when the need arises and will advise others to use it also. read more

We just boarded 5 large dogs at Preppy Pet for a 10 day vacation. Tony was excellent in his communication and very gracious to me and my fur babies. The facility is very clean, the staff is caring and I can tell that all of my babies enjoyed their stay. Most importantly, after a lengthy stay, none of the dogs came home sick. This has been my prior experience at other local facilities. I would highly recommend Preppy Pet for boarding and doggy day care. My pups enjoyed the doggy day care during their stay as well. Our dog was boarded at preppy pet for a week. We picked him up today. We had to roll the windows down in the car because he smelled so bad. His backside was caked with his own feces. After talking with the facility, I found out that he had diarrhea for 3 days, but no one ever contacted me to let me know. I could have had a friend or someone come get him. I'm so upset. She said that they often have this problem with other dogs getting diarrhea who are nervous. He has been boarded at other facilities and has never had a problem. I was told he was bathed yesterday, so he must have just had an accident. I wish I would have taken a picture when we picked him up....he looked like a sick dog. We immediately bathed him when we got home, but his poor bum is bright red. I had to use scissors to cut feces out of his tail. That must hurt! We will not be utilizing this location in the future. read more

We needed a place to take our new 4 month old pup when I have office days. I did a lot of research and got some recommendations from friends before trying Preppy Pet. I filled out their web form and got info back right away. I stopped in on Saturday to check it out and was able to get the paperwork filled out that day so that on Monday all I had to do was drop our girl off. Their daycare hours are 7am to 6:30pm on weekdays which is perfect for our needs. They also have weekend hours and offer boarding as well as grooming. The staff is pleasant and helpful. Her first day as a trial run was free which I really appreciate. Upon picking her up she was happy and excited and looked to be in great shape. There prices are very reasonable and are based upon the weight of your pet. You need to have current vaccination records which is good because I don't want to think she's around any unvaccinated pups. I plan on bringing her here again. read more

We've used them multiple times. Overall it's been a good experience and our dog gets excited when we pull into the parking lot. Of our last few visits for an overnight stay, one time our dog back back covered in poo and another he came home vomiting for the remainder of the day. I'm not saying it's their fault our dog had 'issues' but that isn't normal for him. Also we initially selected them because they advertised that we could watch our pet on a webcam while away. I've asked 3 different times about webcam access and received a different excuse each time as to why I could not access it. 1 person said I needed a cd to install software on my computer, a 2nd say the Internet was down, yet a 3rd said the webcams weren't working. read more

Such a great place and nice, caring staff! My doberman pincher has been going to play here for over a year. He needs to run and play with other dogs for socialization and because he has crazy energy! When I can't run with him I bring him here to play. He comes home exhausted. We leave him overnight and I can rest assured that he is well taken care of and loved. He's very timid around strangers but he is comfortable around the staff which tells me a great deal. The outside yard is huge and has plenty of shade for the summer months. The puppy cameras are an added bonus. You can watch your dog in real time. read more

SO excited when their built-in GPS tells them we're getting close, and SO disappointed if we drive on by. Nice big indoor playspace as well as a very large outside, well shaded yard. Don't take your dog here. I boarded my 11 month puppy here beginning March and at the end of APril I had 8 puppies. That's right 8. I am now responsible for these little guys and had to regroup my summer vacation , come home twice a day from work to feed them and check on them not to include the expense food , shots, wellness checks.snd all the continuous cleanup . What gets me is that I paid this place good money to keep my dog safe and they told me she would be watched and apparently she was not. The owner takes no responsibility so don't take your dog here. Apparently the dogs are just left outside without any supervision or this wouldn't have ever happened. read more

We have used Preppy Pet as our go to facility for short stays (2-5 days) however after the last stay (6 days) we will never bring our dog back to this facility. I dropped our dog off on a Sunday and spoke with staff about his ear problems. He gets an ear hematoma but we have controlled it with the help of a head wrap, recommended by our veterinarian. I asked them to change his ear position every other day (flap down to flap up), to make sure it doesn't become irritated or stuck in one position. He was supposed to be in a large kennel, have play time and get a departure bath. When I left him, he was happy and healthy. I picked him up on Saturday and immediately noticed he was a different dog. He was not happy or excited, he wanted nothing to do with his treats and he looked sad. The staff gave me an attitude because they said he wasn't supposed to be picked up until Sunday. I know for a fact our reservation was for Saturday and he only had food for the 6 days. I took his war wrap off and what I saw horrified me. His ears had not been rotated and both ears were caked in a hard puss like substance. The inside of his problem ear was covered in dry ear wax and was stuck upright because they never put the ear flap down. Behind both ears was so caked with sweat and puss, we had to remove the hair. He had callouses on his elbows and stomach which he never had before. He didn't want to be touched. He also appeared to be severely dehydrated. He had a white substance coming from his urethra that appeared to cause him discomfort. It took two days and alot of TLC and antibiotics to get him to come close to his normal self. NEVER AGAIN will we leave our family pet at Preppy Pet. read more

We have brought our dog, Lily (a 2.5 year old beagle/hound mix), here for boarding three times now when we go out of town, and we have two more reservations in the near future. She LOVES it here, and we love that she is safe, gets to play with other dogs, and she is not locked in a crate the entire time we are gone. We do all day play for her, but she eats and sleeps in her own crate. She is always happy to go there, and we always pick her up clean from a bath and as healthy as she went in. The staff is always pleasant and helpful. I do wish the cameras worked so we could watch her play a bit, but we have no reason to worry about her treatment while she is here. read more

I have left my dog here several times since he was a pup. The prices are pretty reasonable, and with the Indoor Play option, he's nice and tired when I pick him up! I have been taking my fat Lab to Preppy Pet in Longwood for about a year. He usually goes 4 times a week for daycare. He LOVES it! The owners and staff are very friendly, it is well run and I have never had any problems. My mom took our 11 month old goldendoodle puppy here in march while we were on spring break and at the end of april she had 8 puppies that are at least mixed with three different breeds. She payed for the extra play time and clearly our dog was not supervised during that time at all. Also, their cameras just so happened to be "down" during that time so we can't even find out what exactly the 8 new puppies are mixed with. My mom also wrote reviews on facebook and preppy pet deleted them, hence why they had perfect reviews on facebook and not on yelp. The owner should pay for all of the expenses my mother has paid for the puppies and reimburse her for the money she paid for unsupervised "play time" but declined that and wouldn't call her back until she started writing reviews for the public to see. We are always satisfied with Preppy Pet Longwood. The staff is very nice and accommodating and our dogs always do fine there.

We left our dog for four days boarding. She had diarrea and vomiting when she came back. Her behind was dirty and the worst part when we brought her home we realized her ear was full of a dry brown mud aparently. We had to clean the ear thoroughly, she was in pain. It must have been like that for a few days because it was dry straight into her ear channel, she might have an infection. Her food was returned complete, so she was probably fed other food. We will never take her back to preppy pet. read more

I relocated to Lake Mary for a new job and am living in Corporate Housing for a few weeks. My dog, Buster, was barking all day while I was at work and the other residents were calling and complaining about it and I understand that completely. Panicking about what to do with him during the day, I began to search for doggie day cares online. I came across Preppy Pet Suites and thank God! I talked to alot of people for recommendations, asked PetSmart, people at work, etc. PPS is by far was the best choice for Buster. When we pull up, his tail is wagging and his bottom tiny pearly white teeth are glowing and I can't open the car door fast enough! Some days he's there all day, other days just in the afternoon. PPS adjusts the cost accordingly, no problem! Buster is really shy and doesn't warm up to other people and animals quickly. He's become more sociable now and doesn't seem to be as nervous about our move and is much better around other dogs and people. I'm so thankful for PPS! They're awesome! It's been therapy for him, not to mention calmed me down quite a bit as well. read more

One of our dogs isn't comfortable with other dogs so they arrange to just let our two dogs out together. They love it there. read more

I have two dogs they are both about 5 and use to enjoy going to preppy pet. I always paid the additional 8 dollars a day per dog to allow them to play. They recently got a playcam so you can watch your dogs play from home, I watched the camera and never once saw my dogs. After months of paying I was informed later that my dogs never played because they were aggressive. I wish someone would have told me they didnt enjoy the group play so I could have stopped wasting my hard-earned money on playtime my dogs weren't receiving and I am very disappointed with the "bath" my dogs received. I worked in grooming for years. All they do is spray dogs with Cologne. My dogs smelled GREAT but both were still covered in dirt. The girls who work there are wonderful. I do not blame them at all. They are friendly and really know my dogs. It's obviously management that is money hungry and doesn't care about the animals. I won't be going back mostly because of the fact they lied to me and took my money for an extra service I wasn't getting. read more
