Our goal was to replace a 20 year old residential wood and rail fence. Woven wire had been added by previous owners for their dogs. The fence was about 150' long with 27 wooden posts, of which 19 were loose or completely rotten at the base. Javelina are a concern in our area so we wanted a fence that would resist their nocturnal activities. We contacted PRESCOTT FENCE company who sent Rob out to coordinate a fence to meet our needs. Rob and I quickly found common ground when we learned we were both military veterans. He is USMC and I am USMC and retired USAF. Walking our backyard that I refer to as the Granite Boulder Pile, Rob explained the majority of post holes would have to be drilled with a diamond tipped drill bit into the rock. He recommended a woven wire product commonly called horse fence with 6' steel pipe posts and a custom fit steel pipe top rail. We also coordinated for three custom gates. Rob's estimate, while expensive, was within our budget, and we feel it will repel Javelina and contain our dogs. The two-man crew that PRESCOTT FENCE sent were exemplary! On Friday they drilled 16 post holes into solid rock, hand dug six more, and set the 22 posts with cement. On Monday they custom measured, custom cut, and custom welded 130 feet of 2 inch steel pipe for the top rail onto the 22 fence posts. Followed by beginning to measure and stretch the fence wire. On Tuesday they completed installation of the remaining wire and hung the three custom fence gates. We are extremely pleased with the job that PRESCOTT FENCE company performed for us. Mere words can not adequately describe the workmanship they provided, so I have included some pictures to help do that. Our neighbors tree fill into our yard during the last monsoon and took out both our chain link fences. Dave's crew came out and did the repair and looks great. Trying to fix the vinyl fence which was installed six years ago, not a warranty issue but just would like to see them stand behind the product. Receptionist is very pleasant to speak with but trying to get this fence repair is a nightmare and the longer it goes in repaired the more damage is done to I with the wind. right now not too please with American Fence. read more

Before I signed the contract, I did my due diligence and read all the reviews. I'm not doubting what those who rated them poorly had to say. Maybe it was just a bad day for those whom they contacted, who knows for sure. My experience was fantastic. There price was competitive, the communication both on the phone and email was great and the job was done perfectly. Five stars. A few months later I had a small problem with the unit and after one call to a very nice lady in the office, the owner came out and diagnosed my problem. The problem had nothing to do with the unit or the installation by Prescott fence. Next time I'll read the owners manual and save a phone call. Wow, I can't believe the review that Chris wrote because it is the exact opposite of the experience I had with Prescott fence and Dave. They were always very responsive to my calls & I can't imagine Dave doing what Chris said he did, it seems so out of character for who he seems to be. We got 3 estimates and picked Prescott Fence because of the price, & thoroughness & professionalism of Dave. He gave us an estimate last April and when I called him in Sept to do the fence, with some changes, it was even less than he had originally estimated. They installed a fence, with 5 gates and we are extremely happy with the result. They actually build a wooden gate for my patio that matched my deck in design. They did leave a small area of the bottom tension line disconnected and when I called & talked to Dave, they were out the next day to fix it. I would highly recommend them. read more

Prescott Fence Co. charged our credit card over $6,000 for something we did not order. We live miles away in another state and certainly did not and would not need the services of a fence company in Arizona. They clearly got our stolen credit card information from a scammer. Not their fault, however what is their fault is they are insisting on collecting charges from us and refuse to go after the scammer. These are absolutely HORRIBLE business practices and speaks volumes on the kind of people running this outfit. Avoid at all costs. read more

Terrible.. don't do it. I met with a man named Dave (Haggart?? not sure) First, we had an appointment scheduled for a Friday at 2:00. He called me earlier and asked if we could meet at an earlier time because the cable guy was coming to his house and he didn't want to miss him. I tried everything I could do during my day to shuffle things and accommodate him but things fell through for me so we met at the regular scheduled time. He gave me 2 estimates for the work I needed done, both under $1000 so it wasn't a huge job. On Sunday, I met with my landscape architect to go over what Dave and I had discussed and the landscaper had a question about the fencing that I didn't know the answer to, so I promptly called Dave, left a message with him on the phone number that he provided me. He did not return my call so I left another message a couple of days later. Again, no response. So I called the company phone number on the estimate. I explained that i had tried to call and left messages and the landscapers were basically at a standstill until I could talk to him. Dave got on the phone and said "Man, don't call me on Sunday, anyway, what do you need?" So I explained that I work Mon - Friday business hours and off hours and weekends are my only time to take care of Personal things. I then asked "Is that why you didn't return my calls? Because your mad at me for calling on a Sunday?" He said to me "My time is limited, i have family, blah blah blah". No biggie, he didn't have to call me back that day.. and leaving a message would've been fine. I asked him if I should find someone else to do the work and he replied "It's just not worth it" I was floored!!!! Then he told me to find someone else!! Unbelievable!!! Anyway, I found another company that was willing to do it. But seriously, if you're going to get any fence work done, look elsewhere! Maybe find a company that knows that a lot of people work during the week and that the world still revolves on a Saturday and Sunday. Terrible customer service. read more

My experience is the same as Chris S. Met with Dave Haggart (owner/Manager) in July to discuss the job and have not even received an estimate as of the end of August. If he did not want the job, that is all he had to say. Instead after numerous phone calls and emails where I was promised the estimate or a return call, I've given up on this loser. I wouldn't hire Dave to pick up dog doo. Save yourself the aggravation; find someone else, Dave's word isn't worth anything. read more
