This pace is...fine. Not good. None of the pastries in the pastry window were labeled. When I asked the barista for a menu she said "just ask what you're curious about getting. Wellllll that's kind of hard when nothing is labeled and you have things do not look like traditional pastries (like their "power balls"). Okay so that was unhelpful. Further, the pastries do not have price labels. I hate when any establishment does this because it puts you in the awkward position of having to ask how much something is and last minute change your mind and feeling embarrassed that you don't want to spend that money. I ordered two drinks a basic latte and a coffee. The coffee came out promptly but was lukewarm which is not desirable. After waiting for my latte for 10 minutes I finally asked and the Brista looked confused and said "oh yeah I totally forgot about that didn't I?" There was no associated apology or anything. What was really surprising was that a latte which is made of steamed milk came out lukewarm as well. The pastries were bland and flavorless. I ordered a bagel toasted with butter. It is very simple and nothing difficult. They served a lightly warmed bagel ( I don't think they use a toaster, instead a panini grill) and the tiniest amount of butter on it. But staff gave me extra butter just in case. The butter was frozen solid and the bagel was cold so difficult to melt the butter !! Also the bagel wasn't tasty. It's more like bread, soft and light. I'm a huge fan of this new coffee shop! Pros: - Outlets: I think the number/placement of outlets really makes or breaks a place for me. This place has a good number of outlets and they're well placed around the shop. - General space: it's a big space with lots of seating and naturally lit for the most part. It's a nice place to sit for a long time and just get some work done. They also have a covered outside space. - Noise: it's not super noisy and it hasn't been super crowded any of the times I've been (maybe because no one knows about it yet). They also don't blast loud music. - Coffee: it's good and strong -- all you need. They don't have an extensive list of different types of lattes/random flavored drinks. But if you just want a pretty standard drink this place will hook you up! - Food: they have a pretty good lunch and breakfast menu. They also have a TON of pastries (gluten free and vegan too)! I had a double chocolate cookie that was basically a brownie and so delicious. But I also had a vegan scone that tasted like cardboard (but it was also vegan...) I also got a Mediterranean sandwich. It definitely wasn't bad but it wasn't really Mediterranean... It was just a standard lettuce & tomato sandwich. They may need to rework the labeling to more accurately represent what they're selling. -Staff: nice and friendly enough! They actually forgot about my sandwich order and gave me a free cookie as an apology. Cons: -Parking: they have a private lot but it's only four spaces so you'll probably have to street park. Im sitting in the coffee shop at the moment and was thinking of how grateful I am that this place opened in the Highlands, and felt the need to write a review. I am greeted with so much happiness as soon as I walk in the door. Its as if everyone who works here has been your friend for a long time and they are making you breakfast and coffee, just because it makes them happy to do it. The atmosphere is adorable and the food is delicious. They can make food very quickly when you are in a hurry, but also make you feel right at home when working in the shop (even taking my bagel to my table for me). I hesitated to write a good review at first only because I selfishly don't want this place to become widely popular so I can continue to have a good study spot, but its too good not to share with the world. This place has a ton of things going for it but could still fine tune some aspects. Pros: Cute atmosphere Great location Tasty food Tasty Drinks Cons: The menus are at the register? Nothing like having no clue what you want while a line of people stand behind you! (Please put a menu station at the door or on a wall) The guys at the register seemed rude. They didn't help us with the menu and were more concerned about staring at girl's butts in yoga pants which lets be real, is everyone in there haha Move the menus and maybe put some of the chicks at the register? No pour overs and have been promising nitro coffee for years. Changed their mind. No nitro. I can't do milk so ordered "drip coffee" and, like mcDonalds and Starbucks, it's kept at 211 degrees. Won't be able to drink it for 45 minutes. No problem though, because it's mediocre drip coffee. I really just needed a comfortable place to work for an hour and, it's clean and not a bad room. My new favorite find in Midtown. Staff: friendly; parking: easy; music: BLACKMILL was playing while I ate (love them!); clientele: lovely and not too crowded; but the highlight is the menu. I had great conversations with the knowledgable staff and together we even created a new sandwich just for me. I wanted to try the coconut homemade wrap around tempeh with the sauce of another sandwich and add kale and onion and it was the bomb!! I was praying the coffee wouldn't be the Intelligencia bean which has a sour finish and I can't stand that seems to be very popular in ATL and it wasn't. The coffee is smooth and tastes fresh. Homemade pecan milk!? I mean...what? The menu is still growing but for a gf vegetarian we now have myriad choices as opposed to the same, old same old. Don't let the lack of parking here turn you away! You can easily park along the northbound side of N Highland. This coffee shop/bakery is not your typical grungy, hole in the wall place that you would usually find in college towns. It boasts of bright colors and LOTS of natural light. I haven't tried many of the baked goods, but I know anything from Highland Bakery is top notch. My favorite item: iced coffee. Came here to get some work done with the aid of a large Americano and an egg and cheese biscuit. The coffee was great and the biscuit was better, got a sweet potato biscuit that they piled a ton of cheesy eggs into- looked so good that I forgot to take a photo. Some items on the menu are somewhat expensive but the Americano and biscuit were both pretty reasonable. Staff was extremely nice and helpful and the atmosphere was modern and nice. Large selection of different desserts to pair with coffee. Great go to coffee spot in the highlands- very limited parking but there are usually some street spots open, and their AC was on BLAST, I usually sweat profusely but actually started getting cold at one point. All the desserts on display looked delicious (most, if not all, from Highland Bakery), so I'll definitely be getting some the next time I visit. There appeared to be plenty of seating (both indoor and outdoor) and free wi-fi in a clean environment. I think it would be a great place to spend the morning/afternoon to get some work done on a laptop. There is a 4-car parking lot in the front, so the parking is definitely limited. When I heard about the paleo, I had to go. What i discovered is a hodge podge of items. There is no mention of paleo on the display case and the employees were not too sure either. Just so you know paleo is supposed to be low carb. To get low carbs, you cannot use grains such as wheat flour. You want to avoid gluten as well. The easy way is to use rice flour. The best way, however, is to use Almond flour or Almond meal. Also you want low sugar. That does not mean using Sweet-n-Low or even Stevia. Fruits are filled with sugar. Berries are lower in sugar than fruits such as peaches or mangoes. So use blueberries if necessary. Remember we're not trying to make a dessert. Having said all of this, I bought a brownie because the super friendly lady behind the counter said it was made from Almond flour. It was pretty good, not sweet. The problem: it cost me $6.00! Early Sunday morning, rainy and raw weather put me in the mood for a comforting cup of joe and a hot breakfast. P&G is an honest looking coffee shop.... Interior is bright, well lit with lots of natural light. Design is tasteful, but nearly sterile from a comfort standpoint. Cheap seating (hard plastic chairs and metal stools) and even cheaper vinyl flooring reminds one of a workplace breakroom, not a hospitality retail space. Coffee is decent almost good. This place has a functional kitchen space- though I haven't a clue what it offers besides the baked goods on display in counter cases. You'd be hard pressed to find a menu or any mention of food to be prepared. Seems pretty basic, right? Not sure what the impediment is here...licensing? Shop has been open for only a couple of hours and it's not exactly clean. Suspect that's the way it was when it opened. Restrooms ugh! Trash cans are full, towel dispenser not functional, etc... Everything says "get your coffee and go" which is perhaps what the owner(s) wants... Still the coffee is pretty decent...Though I wouldn't advise a customer/client mtg here... too pedestrian. read more

Overall a disappointing experience. We visited on a Sunday afternoon with no line to order. We were not greeted and we seemed to be bothering the person working the register with our business. Understandable that people have bad days, but it was downhill from there. They don't list oat milk on the menus as an available option, but we did spot boxes of it behind the counter after ordering. Not sure why it wouldn't be advertised as an option. The women's restroom lock is broken, their solution is a chicken scratch sign to knock before entering. To me, this is an unacceptable and lazy solution. I ordered a sandwich on the rosemary bread, which arrived untoasted and looked quite sad. I read other reviews about receiving the wrong order, unfortunately mine was correct. Just seems there's not a lot of effort going into the customer experience on several different levels. I have tried way too many coffeeshops, but I think I finally found one where you can be productive in an open, clean, stylish environment. Not to mention the coffee--they brew Batdorf and Bronson coffee which is great at baseline, but now I don't have to trek to other overcrowded coffee shops to get. I write this review in hopes that the owners actually look at Yelp to improve. I'll start by saying that I have been a patron since day one and will continue to be. The place is bright and inviting, the smoothies are awesome, and the food is great. There are three MAJOR things keeping this from being one of the best coffee shops in ATL though: 1. It needs much better ventilation. There is a haze from cooking, and you leave smelling like grease from the oil in the pans. That makes it a tough place to hang out or have meetings. 2. The vibe is a dead. The music is down super low, and when it is audible, it's mindless pop music. Maybe align that with the demographic that frequents coffee shops, but don't blare it. 3. The coffee specialties are rough. No one actually knows the difference between a cappuccino, cortada, and a macchiato. They are often delivered without foam, and ones with foam are pure foam with no coffee blended into them. Too many good coffee shops around today not to compete on the quality of your biggest staple.
