Sometimes the work is fine and sometimes its not. Too often I drive out with a new problem that I did not have before. A year ago this happened with the Steering Gear Box, which started making a grinding noise as soon as I left the lot. I had to bring it back and pay for a new one. Today, I brought it in for a few minor issues and an inspection and oil change. I also asked them to look at the rear end because I was sometimes experiencing a light "clunk" when I would drive over bumps. They told me the rear differential was making that noise. It seemed odd to me that the rear differential would be the cause. So I told them it was not a big enough issue at the moment to justify $3,000 for a new rear differential. I drove it home and - voila - the rear differential is now making a grinding noise (it was not before). The clunk is still there, but that is not on them. I am not going back because I never know if I am going to drive out with more problems than I came in with.

I've also always felt comfortable declining services and never felt pressured to get anything that I didn't need to. One time we had a tire puncture and thought we were going to get it repaired at the shop but quickly realized we would need all four tires replaced so decided to get it done at Costco tire center.
