They refused to give me a quote but insisted in doing a walkthrough before scheduling, items like "We only detail using a ceramic finish" etc sounded good, so I scheduled an appointment. they had my car for 6 hours and washed it including a scrub down of the seats, but only the front, no detailing of the sills, back carpets, or any of the rubber trim and used a pressure washer that ripped paint off my wheels and did not even remove the wax. Frankly, any good car wash would have done a better job, Then had the nerve to charge me $500. When I asked for an itemized receipt they said it would be automatically emailed. The only email I got just said $500. When I tried to contact them, they listed Email comes back as not valid, no one answered the phone and when I stopped by twice I was told I had to come back and talk to someone else, that happened twice. I don't usually review businesses on Yelp but I had to with this one. Simply outstanding!! I took my X5 with some bumper scratches to get fixed. Jack was the person who gave me the quote and a summary of repair. He was very friendly and warm and detailed on what it would entail. The price was very reasonable. I fixed an appointment dropped my car and boom it was ready to pick up in 4 hours. They had replaced my PPF and painted my bumper but it was a class act overall. Jack and this Salon is the place to go. Hope I never have another incident to go here but if one such happens I am going here. read more

I've never posted an online review of a business before, but had to here because Dan was the rudest customer-service representative I have ever talked to. The guy hung up on me for asking too many questions which were basic things like: "how much does this cost?", "what exactly am I getting for my money?". He was extremely condescending and could not give straight answers to "yes" or "no" type questions that were definitely not rocket science-all major red flags. As a customer, I have a right to know what I am getting for my money. Obviously here, they couldn't care less. Please, save yourself and your money and find a detail shop that cares about its customers. read more

I went here to get Ceramic Pro done. The guy told me that it was going to be cheaper given the condition of my car. He said they would be able to remove a previous scratch that was there. With all this said, I assumed when I picked it up that it would look great. When I came to get it, they had done the ceramic pro and the scratches showed even more and the price was still the same. If I had known this I would've gotten the paint work done before doing detailing. This place doesn't care about the outcome, they just care about charging you and ripping you off. I tried to confront Jack about it but he said I should be glad I'm not getting charged more! I would not recommend this place to anyone read more

I was super pleased with Tempus. I have a 98 Toyota Tacoma that has succumbed to Seattle's wetness, tree pitch and lots of wet dogs in the front seat. It was covered in oxidation and starting to moss-over. I tried scrubbing it at home, but it wouldn't budge. I got worried that the black crap on the paint was permanent and would impact resale value. So, I started looking for detailers and found Magnus. After a quick call with Adam, I dropped off the truck with a handshake agreement on price. I was amazed with the work. The paint looked like new. We needed to sell our car pronto as we are moving to San Francisco. (If you'd live in San Francisco and tried to PARK in SF, you'd know why we had to sell our car.) In any case, we were tired from packing and not anxious to add one more chore to the list, but when we needed to find somebody to detail the car, stat, Tempus Detailing worked out well for us. When the owner dude (sorry, don't know his name) found out our schedule, he agreed to get us in first thing in the morning, even opening half an hour earlier. And when we got the car, boy, did it look shiny and new. And it smelled fresh too. Everything was spick-and-span when we got it back. Caveat: Not cheap. While all the other detailing shops in the Seattle area have comments and reviews that all boil down to the employees not caring about what kind of job they did and having to return multiple times, all I saw for Tempus was raving reviews. Having now experienced it, I can understand and support the claims. It started from the email request for an appointment, where I was scheduled for an appointment not only in a timely manner but for a time less than 24 hours in advance, much quicker than I could have even hoped for, along with the closing line of the email reading "we look forward to meeting you and exceeding your expectations." When I read that, I was astonished at such a bold statement with a first-time customer. When I went in for the detailing (I had a Greenwich Time: Mini Detail), Adam was both amiable and professional. Inside the office, there are plenty of pictures that attest to the fantastic work that they do there at Tempus. Before I left though, Adam asked when I needed the car back because even though he could do it in the predicted time frame, he might be able to spend more time and do additional work, if given the time. Things like this show me that they actually cared about doing a good job, and to say they did a good job would be an understatement. Upon returning to pickup the car, the first thing I noticed was that I was in good company, I saw both a Maserati and Porsche being worked on. Then I saw my car, it was more beautiful than when I purchased it off the lot. It's just so clean, vibrant, and glistening like the waves of the sound under the summer sun. I always thought my car was slick looking, but now it's unbearably slick. I now feel outclassed by my car unless I, too, am looking slick. Considering my friends and co-workers continue to gawk at and be amazed by the work done by Tempus, I will most definitely be returning for future car work, and would highly suggest anyone who cares about to their car to as well. read more

We were thrilled with our car. It looked terrific after Tempus laid their skilled hands on it. Great location. Our car had been stored for six months at Sea-Tac Self Storage. We picked it up and it had MOLD growing on every interior surface. It was DISGUSTING. It was a SUNDAY!!! After calling 15-20 auto cleaning businesses the Tempus owner answered his phone on Sunday and met us at his well located business within fifteen minutes... We couldn't believe it!. He explained the process the car would need (heat, enzymes, steam) and allayed our panic. He is true to his word on cost and outcome. I offered a deposit but he said the car is enough of a deposit! His location is great, we could walk a couple of blocks to pickup a rental car or walk to to the train. I trust this guy and this business. I got to meet the detailer and he was very wonderful as well. I can't say enough about how astounded we were with the ease, professionalism and skill of Tempus Detailing. Because of them, a very bad day turned into a good day after all. He also agreed to store our car next month, at a very reasonable price, and assured us no mold would happen on his watch. We live in the desert and had never experienced that mold could grow in a car. It just never occurred to us. read more

I just left this place, and couldn't have been more pleased with the service. After a very unfortunate doggy diarrhea incident, I needed to get my car in somewhere QUICK! They were able to get me in same day. The car looks (and smells!) a million times better, and the guys were super friendly and eager to help. I feel bad for them putting up with the stench as long as they had to, but they steam-cleaned it three times to ensure that it was gone. They also added some magic potion to get the circulated smell out for good. Thank you! I called around a few places before going here, and was actually quoted elsewhere at $350 to get the mess out. $60 later and Tempus has a definite return customer when I decide I need a full detail. Great job guys! I had acquired a 2006 CR-V with low miles, mint condition, except for some well-entrenched tobacco smoke. The car had been detailed once by the dealer. I tried a 3500mg/hour ozone generator on it for a couple of hours, and that didn't touch it. Likewise vinegar in a bowl overnight. My experience with Tempus began with good expectations management from Adam. He didn't over-promise but he indicated they could probably help me. No problem finding the place, though there's no signage on the street. Adam's directions were good. It will help if you go there after the rush hour lets up, if you're not used to downtown Seattle traffic. Three days and three steam-cleanings later I picked up the car. Results well inside the expectations envelope. Still some tobacco smell. Vast improvement. Adam suggested some follow-up steps I could take, if needed. Even offered pointers, if I cared to bring the car by before I tried them. The smell continues to get weaker, helped out maybe by some trays of baking soda left in the car at night, so I might not have to go the next steps. Car was amazingly clean. I'll go back there, hopefully not for quite so dire a situation. read more

I couldn't be more happy to have found this shop. Fantastic service and results! I have a '97 VW Eurovan van that I bought eight years ago and has never been garaged or even regularly washed and waxed. Needless to say, it had some serious oxidation and general grime issues that I was unable to address on my own. I stopped by on a whim to get their assessment. As expected, I was looking at a very spendy (for me) issue. But I bit the bullet and made an appointment. I could not be happier with the results. My van looks like it just rolled off the showroom floor. And on the price side, Adam worked out an approach that will address all the issues over a few visits instead of all at once. Smart move on his part because I'll be back with the van and I'll turn to them to keep our new Sube looking new. So put on your big boy pants and show up when you're supposed to and maybe use a map to find the shop. They're worth it. read more

My first time with Tempus was pretty good. I have a black car and they did a decent job when I left it out with them in the morning and picked it up again in the evening. They waxed the car and did a pretty neat job on the inside by vacuuming the interiors and cleaning the leather seats. The second time though, was a horrid experience. I called in on Friday morning and they said they were completely booked. So I asked them for a monday late afternoon appointment. They said that it was completely do-able and put me down for monday. Come monday and I go to them at my scheduled appointment time, they tell me that they'd written down the time wrong on their side and thus they gave away my slot. I needed the car cleaned, so after negotiating a bit, I got them to clean my car on the outside and vacuum + wipe down of the interior surfaces. After being pretty rude and finally agreeing to do the job in 2 hours, I pick up my car and the interiors were hardly wiped down. They did vacuum it but didn't bother wiping them down. They charged me an extra 50$ for wiping down interiors but didn't do that! Horrible experience. I've had much better experience with Mr. detail across the street from them, and I'm going to be sticking to Mr. Detail from now on. read more

I had high hopes for this shop. I was sorely disappointed. I recently bought a Honda for a great price but it needed some cosmetic work. It was not detailed when I bought it, clean, but not detailed by any means. I took it to Tempus and felt that I was treated differently because i didn't bring in a luxury vehicle. I was fully ready to pay the price for a full interior detail and spoke to the technician beforehand, outlining all of my concerns. Mainly wanted the stains in the seats taken out, but wanted the rest of the car polished off as well. They also said they could remove some sticky substance on the outside bumper from a previous component. I received no call updating me on the service, so I picked it up at the scheduled time. The tech informed me that since the car was so clean and I "didn't really need" a full detail they didn't charge me the full amount, but they also barely went over the car. I received maybe a $30 discount and the car looked exactly the same. They were unable to get the stains out of the seat, left a greasy film over the surfaces they did wipe, and obviously ignored 80% of the car because it "looked clean". The least they could have done was call me to ask if I wanted to skip the full detail for a discount. Now they've just wasted 4 hours of my day and gave me the same car back. They also said that the floor mat on the driver side was a "permanent dirt stain" when I asked why it was still dirty. I went home and wiped it with a damp cloth and it came out. They also did not remove the sticky substance on the outside as they offered. Just because I don't have a luxury vehicle does not mean I don't want my car to be treated with the same care and respect. Now I'm going to have to take to another shop to get a legitimate detail. I will never visit this shop again and highly recommend finding somewhere else. read more

Called yesterday to ask whether they could detail the car. Ends up the week after thanksgiving is usually pretty empty, so they got me in the next day (on my request not to do it that day). I got the Mini service, which they claim is their most popular, and I can see why. The car is my wife's and this was my gift to her, a surprise auto detailing. The good: * Booking call - Very straightforward and simple. I called, they picked up, was booked in within 5 minutes. * Finding the place - Google Street view was pretty informative, and it wasn't that difficult to get there and drive in. Parking bays are reserved for customers which made life even easier. * The paperwork - simple and straightforward. There's a disclaimer that is pretty standard - remove valuables, etc. with a $100 limit for damage. * The service - Fantastic. The car went in having been used for dog duties, camping and all kinds of things a Nissan Versa should not be used for, and came out sparkling clean. When I went to pick up the car I could see from across the garage that it was much, much cleaner. * Speed of service - car was dropped off at 7:30am, finished at 10:36am. It was pretty filthy, so I wasn't surprised, but they did say 11:30am or so for the finish time. * Cost - I gave them a 20% tip and it was less than $170, which is what I had budgeted for. I thought this was very reasonable as the quality of the job done and the difficulty of the cleaning being performed, I feel like it was money well spent. There is an option to email the receipt, which I elected to do, and that worked out nicely. Coincidentally, the payment system is very easy to use. The bad: * Phone was a little crackly/hard to hear but otherwise was simple. * The mirrors were moved around slightly - I think this would happen anywhere so if there was room for growth in the overall service, it would just be to warn people to adjust their mirrors when they pick up their keys. * They never asked what kind of tire finish I wanted applied, but I didn't care about that. Wife's comments: "OMG MY CAR!!! It looks like a new car!!" "Wow, they managed to find my purse hanger! I've been looking for this since Vancouver (2012)" "It smells so good in here!!" "Ok, you were right, the windshield was pretty dirty before... I can see the difference now." "Thank you!! You're the best husband ever!! I feel so spoiled" And that was good enough for me :). Overall value for money - I'd put this in the good value for money department. I will be going back again next year in the fall to get the car detailed again, that's for sure, these guys have earned repeat business with the quality of the work they have done. read more

I typically dont rate businesses on yelp but Tempus staff did a great job with my car and felt that it was warranted. I have a black car and its a struggle making it look good and clean due to the color. Tempus staff made it look brand new again, and the cleanliness has lasted about a week now. Couldnt be happier!! Superb! Great job on the car. Very helpful NICE guys. I took my friend's car in with the living social deal. They were so totally booked but Kramer made it work when I told him i really need to get it done this week. He actually talked with me about what I need and suggested a mini detail. He also suggested a special leather seat cleaning/treatment, but it was no pressure at all. When I return, the car was perfect, super clean inside out, waxed and everything. I chatted a little with Kramer when I was picking up the car. It seems Tempus is a small business that the owners actually cared about their work. He said they were looking into getting in the business of providing paint protection film services. If I ever need it, this is the place I will go.
