Just not the expected car wash / service you'd expect when purchasing the highest level carwash offered. Usually the first guy will pre soak your rims and tires prior to you entering the wash. This did not happen. After going through the wash, I wasn't impressed by the number of dirt streaks, soap suds, and general missed areas. I borrowed a towel to complete it myself. I've been to a few brown bears over the years and some are very good. I can't say this about todays visit. Back to hand washing it myself. read more

Wanted to thank an employee named Jose for really helping me out! The night before, while I was driving, someone dropped a water balloon full of mustard on my car because Seattle is a city of chaos, so my car was splattered with crusted on mustard (a sentence i never thought i'd type). Despite being super busy, Jose let me know I could take the car through the wash a second time for free if it wasn't fully cleaned. There was still mustard after the first wash so not only did they let me run through the wash again but Jose and another employee named Gustavo power washed the remaining condiments off the front of the car. Really appreciated them both and they really helped me out. My car is sparkling now and I would definitely come back. read more

I've being coming to this car wash for years, fill my tank and purchase a wash. Today I went through and when I got out to remove the blue tape from my rear wiper, there was no blue tape and there was no rear wiper!! I spoke to the manager and he told me because my car is over 10 years old they're not responsible. I just spent $35 a month ago and replaced this wiper, I've been through the same car wash twice after I replaced the wiper and they always put the blue tape on. Not today though so now I get to spend another $35 to replace the wiper that if they had just put the blue tape on it, it would still be there. Poor policy, imo if they can't follow a simple step. read more

I paid for the $17.99 wash, over $19 with tax and my car isn't even clean. It wasn't that dirty to start with! The two guys standing at the entrance did next to nothing other than one of them taking a swipe at the back window. I seem to remember going there one time before and not being happy so, never again. I am a member of the Brown Bear Car wash Club. I joined in May. I do not recommend joining. At one location earlier this month my car was denied because they couldn't find my plate and then they said the membership lapsed. I had just started it two months prior. Last week I went to the Kingsgate location and the computers were down. No carwashes. This morning I went to Kingsgate at 9am. The sign says that are open 8-8. Vaccuums didn't work. Car wash closed. Not a person in sight. I called three times and tried every avenue of the phone tree. No one answers. I left three messages. It's 4:30. No returned calls. At this point, I just want to cancel this membership. I haven't used this once. No attempts at giving me a refund or a sorry about that, let's extend you for a month. I have a lowered car on coilovers, and since I have moved to Seattle I have had a hard time finding a good self-service car wash let alone a drive thru one. My car was getting so crusty I decided to take a chance and try the Brown Bear. I ALWAYS get turned away from the drive thru washes due to my car most likely scraping. When I pulled up and employee pointed to me car and grabbed the assistant manager. He came over and asked what my bumper was made of, I said it was poly eurothane and he responded that it will be fine as long as I don't mind it briefly touching the guide bar when lining up for the drive thru. I told it was fine and that my bumper could take a beating. They pushed me through, small little bump getting lined up but after that the rest of the car wash went flawless. My car was very clean afterward but the attendant who could barely speak english wouldn't stfu and kept on acting like my car wasn't aligned with the rollers confusing my gf in the car. Then he was like "is it your first time?" in a rude way even though my car was perfectly fine to go through and I was aligned and I've been through over 50 drive through car washes. I ended up stepping out to verify but it was insane how unhelpful this guy was yapping. He also didn't want me to touch the wheel even though it has no bearing on anything if I go through in neutral and it's straight. read more

Why the 4 stars, this place was so good! Busy but efficient! I spent way too long online trying to look for a good car wash when this was here all along. It's automated, you choose one of three options, put your car in neutral as it moves along a conveyor belt, and off you go. As someone who easily misunderstands directions in HIGH PRESSURE SITUATIONS, I made it through this without any issues, so you can too. I thought the location was fairly convenient and easy to turn into/out of. I plan on making this my regular go-to car wash location. read more

Sine The Elephant car wash is no longer available, which was very close to my apartment. I am now using Brown Bear Car Wash. If you sign up with them for the first time, they will reinburse you back your first wash. However, you have to freaking wait for another free wash after your 80th wash then you will receive a free wash. I do not agree with this incentive, that is way too long to wait for a freaking free wash. Just saying. Just an FYI nice days like these past two weekends Saturday and Sundays are their busoest, so If you get there and you see a long line of cars, don't be discourage, they move you along very quickly and efficiently without incidents. In urge.you to have your credit cards ready so can be ready to pay. They practice social distancing, no contact to the customers and they wear their masks. Prices are still the same prior to covid. I just went through the Brown bear car wash on 15th And the back end of my truck is still completely dirty. I can physically hand wipe off the dirt. Back window and tailgate and back more are still dirty. I bought the 'Beary Best' for $18. Sooo Disappointed! read more

Don't join the Brown Car Wash Club.   In my opinion and through abusive treatment by a Brown Bear Club Employee they have your credit card information, THEY WILL STEAL YOUR MONEY. This morning, they shut down the car wash near my home for TWO weeks. This morning, when I called a Brown Bear employee  at the Brown Bear Corporate office, this employee was rude beyond belief; and REFUSED TO REFUND MY MONHTLY $35 FEE in spite of the fact that the car wash is shut down for TWO WEEKS! She stated that yep we are closed down, but you can just go drive to another location. I said cancel my membership immediately since Brown Bear is ripping me off. This Brown Bear employee said "SURE"; and hung up. I have contacted the Washington State Attorney General to report fraudulent and deceptive business practices. I have never dealt with a company so blatantly dishonest and abusive to their club customers. Now I have to cancel my credit card to stop these fraudsters. read more

Car washes, especially those with brushes, are notoriously bad on paint. Similarly, loose items like antennas and glued on trim will often come off in them. Somehow, though, this car wash managed to rip off a piece of my roof trim that is not intended to be easily removable without tools and permanently damage it. read more

I wish they had Brown Bear Car Washes closer to where I live. They are truly the Upper Crust of vehicle cleaning facilities. They are always clean, the staff is professional, the prices are fair, and they are very efficient about getting people in and out of the car wash quickly. Combine that with the fact they have wonderful self-clean areas where you can do your vacuuming and detailing of your car, and Brown Bear is a no-brainer. This location in particular is one of my favorites, as it's right on the main drag and easy to get in and out. Be careful on the weekends though, they can get very busy! read more

Okay... consider my mind changed about auto car washes. I came back on a hot, summer Sunday afternoon to get my car washed again after a long drive out to the Bandera Mountain trailhead. The dirt road left our car filthy and I knew Brown Bear would fix us up, quick. Well, there was a HUGE line to get in because... well, Sundays and sunny days. But holy moly was I impressed with how quickly the line moved cars through the wash. I waited for about 10ish mins, but I thought I was going to be there for like 20-25 mins before I got my wash. So, yea, I was happy. I also wasn't quite sure if my car would clean up as good as it did last time because it was so coated in dirt from the road to and from the trailhead. But just as before, the wash was great. No perfect, but damn good for the $14. I just grabbed a quick towel to get a few water drops left on the backend of my car and I was good to go. read more

Brown Bear is my top choice for my car's needs: gas, vacuuming, and car washes. Why? The prices are reasonable, the services work well, and the customer service is excellent. That said, today, an employee went way above and beyond to help me. While vacuuming my car, a kind man pointed out that I had a flat tire. With a trunk full of groceries, I was debating how long I would have to wait for my roadside assistance to show up to help. Leo came over and asked if I had a spare, and said if I did, he would be happy to put it on for me. What a saint! Not only did he do that, he made sure I understood I couldn't drive on the freeway with the "donut". Because of his on the spot help, I had time to get the tire replaced before I needed to pick up my kids from school. I'm truly grateful! I was already a fan, but now I am a customer for life. What a great car wash! I usually hate using the insta-drive-through style car washes. For some reason, I really like the satisfaction of scrubbing my own car. But I was in no condition to do that so this was my only alternative. I love that you can easily buy a car wash at the pump or pay them up front. And it's not a bad price and about what I spend at the pay and spray style washes. They sure do get your car clean. They even help guide your car in to make sure its aligned properly. And at the end they help dry off, scrub missed spots and offer you extra towels if you want to go over your car. They even went out of their way to walk through the machine when I lost my antenna and tried to help put it back on for me. (not the car washes fault, it was already loose) read more

Pretty decent car wash spot. Everything seemed organized and neat. Reminds me of a drive thru for cars- select the cleaning option that you want, pay by card (thank goodness cuz i never have cash!), drive into the washing machine, and voila! your car is squeaky clean. It's fast and efficient. I normally like to clean the insides too. There were vacuums available and free towels for those spots that the blowers missed. Only problem, there were no change machines. Luckily there's a gas station in the same lot as the car wash so you can get cash from an ATM and then change from the cashier. I liked the overall setup of the place, especially with the gas station being right next to the car wash. Also there was plenty of room to accommodate a bunch of cars! Thanks brown bear :) read more

These folks are absolutely amazing! My car was left parked for a few months without use, so it was pretty disgusting. Before going through the wash, the assistant told me that if it was still dirty, to come on through again. Yay! So as I am punching in the sequence for the second wash, my car battery dies. Lol Thankfully, another assistant saw and put a closed sign on my lane. They helped me get the battery jumped, and then sent me through a second wash. Overall, super nice folks that helped out a ton. Ease of getting through with multiple locations serving the Seattle and surrounding cities area. I opted for the monthly no commitment membership however, have experienced multiple issues when going through the gate. The sticker applied does not register and was informed after a few attempts at different stations, you have to select the coupon code and the readers will scan versus selecting Membership/RFID scan option. Vacuums are disappointing NOT FREE as I've been accustomed to at similar but other types of venues. BBCW does hand out towels to wipe your car down, which is nice if you do not have your own. For a quick and affordable wash it delivers and from what I've seen so far, the various locations are well maintained. read more

This car wash dented the trunk on my Audi, one of the strands from the car got stuck on the back light and when it pulled up while be caught it put a debt in the trunk. When I informed the attendant he said "they know, have had a lot of problems, and they need to update the car wash". Honestly I am furious and have contacted the local store, a number they gave me for Corp and the area manager. No return calls back. Next a Lawyer. There are still fibers from the wash in the light. I understand that this is a carwash, a simple carwash. They do a fine job of cleaning the car, no doubt, but I was surprised by one thing. I didn't have any coins on me, so I used my card to use the vacuum. Fine. I pressed the button for 4 minutes, four glorious minutes of vacuuming. Five bucks. Five bucks for four minutes. This car wash is ok. You pay up front at a drive-through kiosk, and then wait in line for the automated drive through wash. Three kiosks feed into one line, yet it is efficient enough so you do not wait long. I'm convinced the blond guy (curly hair) guiding cars in the wash downs espressos or Red Bulls all day. I admit I missed the track at first, but was easily able to reverse a foot and correct it. All the while he was gesturing so frantically while I was either stopped or going less than a mile per hour I thought his arms were gonna fly off. Really, it would have been hilarious except it really looked like the guy was having an aneurysm. I was fixing the vent to "recirculate" and stopped before you put the car into neutral. The guy was so worked up he was screaming, even though I gave him a thumbs up and was stopped. (Dear Car Wash Man, I am from LA. We drive aggressively but stop on a dime. We are used to multitasking while cutting through 8 lanes of heavy traffic on a freeway to a 360 degree off ramp, and onto busy streets with 6-8 lanes as well as narrow suburban streets and everything in between. Not everyone needs to drive like a grandma in order to drive safely and efficiently. I laugh because I actually have a 4.9 rating when I used to drive for Uber and Lyft. I appreciate the concern but no need to have a heart attack, truly. Just keep calm and carry on!) ...Just giving everyone a heads up... This guy is a trip and the vacuum has almost no suction. You can get a free wash by DLing the car wash app. Not gonna be a regular. I've seen people freak out wayyy less in a similar sized car wash in LA with 50 cars in line, including cars in the car wash or trying to get out of the place. Recommended for any washing needs minus thick coats of dirt and mud. A nice, busy location when the sun is out. I stopped by here before the Elite Event 2 events ago at Palisade and the line was rather busy. What's nice is the old gas pump overhang gives nice cool shade while waiting and parking for afterwards. I've heard it's best to chill in cool air and not direct heat once out of car washes. You, maybe, sure, but that's referring to your car. Note. It's a good habit taking tight chicane turns as wide as possible to reduce dragging your rear tires on the machine tire guide. read more

Bad bad experience, this is the first time I used Brown Bear Car Wash. The person that takes your receipt before car wash is extremely inpatient and grumpy. When I hand him my receipt, he questioned me: WHAT TOOK YOU SO LONG? Excuse me?! Your receipt machine is not working properly, first time printed me a blank receipt, had to swipe my credit card again to make the transaction goes through. The whole receipt-machine-not-working situation didn't even lasts over 3 minutes and your staff gets unhappy about it. Considering this is my first time going thru machine wash, Unbelievable attitude, wouldn't recommend it to anyone else! The machine wash is not even that clean in the first place, still have bugs in my front bumper after the car wash. Go find urself a hand wash place that has nicer and pleasant staff! read more
