I got tired of fixing my ancient sprinkler system, so this time, when one of my valves turned into geyser, I called some sprinkler guys. Dimitry picked up the call right away, gave me a ballpark estimate over the phone, came out the same day, and did the work the next day. He also made improvements along the way, adding drippers where the water was insufficient and making watering recommendations. Now, stuff is growing like crazy and he did this while reducing the number of valves, eliminating 2 old leakers. Another good thing is that Dimitry will tell you what you don't need. I had some ideas which he was willing to do, but he explained they weren't worth the expense. Could I have done it all myself? Maybe, if I knew exactly what to do. But with a complex sprinkler system, you're not just paying for parts and labor, you're paying for expertise as well. Definitely recommended. read more

Dmitriy called back quickly after I left a message. A day later, he fixed a broken sprinkler line, deep under Redwood roots. His cost estimate based on our description and picture of the issue and on the fact that our landscaper was not able to dig deep enough to fix it, was reasonable. Because it was actually a bit easier to repair than Dimitriy had thought, he reduced the final cost, making it cheaper than the minimum quoted by another company just to show up. Called the week leading up to Memorial Day, a busy time for Sprinkler Repair Companies. The few I had called were booked out by at least a week, however Dmitriy said he was available the same evening that I called. But then told me his minimum charge was $175! I was shocked but given my front lawn sprinklers weren't working and my lawn was going brown I decided to say OK to the minimum charge because I have an HOA and would have fines to pay if my lawn turns brown. HOWEVER, the minimum charge is price gouging because as it turns out, it was just a solenoid that needed to be replaced. He spent a total of 10 minutes at my house to diagnose the problem, then came back the next day to install the solenoid which took a couple of minutes. I would have expected that since it was such a small, quick, inexpensive fix, that he would have felt guilty for price gouging and checked all of my 3 sprinkler zones to ensure I had good coverage, and replace or adjust any sprinklers that weren't working properly. The fix was adequate, but I was overcharged, and the service provider doesn't understand value for money spent nor does he know what the word integrity means. He gave me a verbal one year warranty which is useless. Do not recommend but gave 3 stars since the solenoid fix was adequate. read more

Called Prestige and set up an appointment with Dimitri a week in advance to get an estimate on front yard irrigation repair. Dimitri said I would have 30 minutes to explain the problems. I said fine. Dimitri gave me a window of 8 hours not 2 or 4 hours for the estimate which was scheduled for the following Tuesday. He told me he would text me an hour before he arrived. He said is if did not hear from him by 9-10am on Tuesday that meant he would come in the afternoon. I said fine, but I thought why can't he just commit to morning or afternoon? Anyway, the net net was he didn't show up. I waited 8 hours. No call, no text. Nothing. read more
