It's my absolute pleasure to recommend Independent/Prestigious Heating & Air Conditioning. One of my two air conditioning units stopped working. I checked the capacitor and it was fine, so I knew it must be the compressor. I contacted one of the larger HVAC companies (I won't name them) and their first available appointment was in 5 days...so I waited. Then it took 4 days to get the estimate (after paying a $150 service call fee)...then it took 1 week for the new compressor to come in, then that compressor was supposedly faulty, so it would be another week and a half, etc., etc., etc. After screwing around with this other large HVAC company for almost a month, I saw on NextDoor that someone had recommended Independent/Prestigious Heating & Air Conditioning. At around 7pm, I texted the owner Jason Roskelley and within minutes he responded to me. I told him my situation and he had me text him a picture of the unit label, etc. He said he would call his supplier at 9am the next morning to see if they had the compressor available. 9:30am the next morning Jason called me back, told me he could pick up the compressor and come over at 1:30pm to install it. Huh? I call him at 7pm the night before and he's installing it at 1:30pm the next day? I can't say enough about them. The two owners, Jason Roskelley and Ryan Burdick, personally installed it themselves. They cleaned up the mess that the previous company made and left me with a brand new compressor working perfectly. I later learned that Jason and Ryan used to work for one of the big HVAC companies...so basically they were doing the work while their company was overcharging the customer. Using Jason and Ryan is like cutting out the middleman (although they are properly licensed, etc.). They did a perfect job at a reasonable price. Kody was on time, very professional, and diagnosed the problem within the first minute of arriving. He then diligently, went about fixing our air conditioning system. He had it up and running within an hour of arrival. Overall he did a great job. He was very courteous, respectful, highly communicative about the process and helpful in addressing our problem. I was very impressed with this Carlsbad company. I called them because our newer central home heating unit (under warranty for parts only) wasn't working. An appointment was set for the following day, but Cody called and asked if they could come the same day that I called. Cody and 2 crew members arrived in mid afternoon and determined that my issue was just a couple of loose wires in the thermostat that was blowing a small fuse in the unit. $89 for the service call is all that I was charged. No up-selling or pitches for additional services. Highly recommend this company. I am adding them to my preferred list of service firms. read more

I contacted Prestigious Heating and Air to get a checkup done on my Air Conditioning system before the truly hot part of summer hits us. They were easy to schedule and easy to work with. A team of two, Jason and Cody, arrived at my home at the promised time. They checked out my system and performed some duct repairs. My system is working so much better! We had a large name heating and air company try to scam us into replacing our furnace, they lied and condemned the heater which meant we couldn't get SDG&E to evaluate it any more (long story.) We needed a trusted second opinion and Jason and Amanda went above and beyond to rectify the wrong from the big name company. Jason and his company are a top notch operation. Professional and honest about the condition of your HVAC system. They inspected ours and we're in good shape but do need to correct an AC in-line refrigerant filter that was installed improperly during new home construction in 2012. They also serviced the entire system and cleaned the 25 ft dryer vent. No more dryer fire worry. I'm very happy with the service they provided! Best Buy refused to install a gas dryer because there was no gas stop valve in my laundry room. I had Prestigious Heating & Air Conditioning installed a gas stop valve for me. Best Buy came back but said that's not the stop valve size they were expecting and refused to install the dryer again. (but I googled it and the gas stop valve installed is the standard size...). I contacted Prestigious. Instead of having me going back-and-forth between them and Best Buy, they said "we will come over and install the gas dryer for you, no additional charge". My three decade old r22 air conditioning gave out so decided to replace the entire heater and AC system. I ordered the new 3T HVAC and asked four companies for quotes with Prestigious right in the middle. I chose them because of the 5* reviews and Jason was able to give me a same day, detailed written quote from just email pics and me answering a few questions over the phone (saved us both time). Jason and his crew arrived a little early, did an excellent job (including answering all my questions), they finished a little early, left the work areas clean and charged the fair price we agreed upon.
