Max Air has won our business for life! About a year ago, they installed a heat pump to replace our failing furnace. The heat pump gave us air conditioning in addition to heat - a welcome bonus. Recently, we started hearing a whistling sound and worried that a bearing or other component was going bad. Max Air came out, examined the system top-to-bottom and determined that the ductwork in our house was too small and that the force of air through the ducts caused the whistling. They adjusted the fan to blow more gently and that took care of the whistling. Max Air could have told us we need to replace all ductwork. Instead they found an easy and practical solution for us. Today when I woke up my furnace would not kick on - I did some simple trouble shooting, plus checking the thermostat and with no luck I looked on Nextdoor and Google reviews and found a lot of great reviews for Max Air / HVAC! I called them in the morning and spoke with Dmytro and he was able to schedule me in the same day! He arrived on time and was extremely helpful and found the issue within a few minutes! A few months ago, our A/C wasn't working properly. It wasn't cooling as it should be. Since it wasn't an emergency situation, I called around a few places. Some companies were booked for weeks, some didn't even answer their phones and some said they were able to come in two days, but they charged $100 for a service fee for just coming.  I called Max Air, and what a breath of fresh air! Glen, who answered my call immediately, was so courteous and friendly. He explained to me what may be the issue of our A/C. He told me they charge $75 for a service fee, but it will be credited back once we hired them.  Both Glen and Dmytro, two wonderful handsome guys, showed up the next day and repaired a refrigerant leak in the A/C. Their fee was reasonable and we couldn't be any happier. A few days ago, when our A/C completely stopped working, I called Max Air. I wasn't sure whether they were able to come since it must be the busiest time for them. It was Sunday afternoon, but surprisingly Dmytro actually answered my call. He said they were busy, but he squeezed us in their schedule for the next day's appointment. Dmytro came in and found out that the motor of our 2 year old A/C had broken. He immediately called the manufacturer and ordered the part. He even filed a claim for us, so we didn't have to pay for the part. It took only 2 days for the part to arrive, and Dmytro picked up the part and fixed our A/C again.  I have hired a lot of people for various jobs, but I have to say Max Air is one of the most professional, courteous and honest companies I've ever hired. Dmytro was great, found them on yelp and got a same day appointment for him to come out and take a look at the furnace was not blowing out hot air. After about 30 minutes of his time he went up in the attic did what he had to do to make it work again. Recommended some future solutions to avoid the problem and discovered our furnace is about over 20 years old. Put on a bandaid for now to resolve the issue, will look into replacing the entire unit in the near future and won't look else where. Dmytro was very honest and humble. My furnace stopped working so I contacted my home warranty and they scheduled the tech to come out for the repair. He was late but showed up. After checking my furnace he said that the igniter had burned out and needed to be replaced. The part he had on the truck didn't fit so he had to order the part and return at a later date to replace it. For whatever reason, he took the broken part with him. A few days passed and I haven't heard back from him or the warranty company so I started calling them to find out when I could expect to get the furnace fixed. They gave me a huge runaround! I ended up canceling my home warranty and started looking for someone who can help me asap. I searched for the local service providers and landed on Max Air. They were quick to respond and came out for a free diagnostic visit the very same day! The tech installed a new igniter as there was nothing in place of the old one and the furnace came back to life! Dmytro was the name of the fella who came out, he was very nice and knowledgeable. He gave me lots of useful tips on how to keep my system in good working condition, I had no idea you had to replace the filter every 90 days!
