My new car has been having on-and-off starter issues for almost three months. I originally had an appointment for August but the issues stopped (again) so I cancelled the appointment. Then the issues started (again) so I make a new appointment for today. Wait this whole month and bring it in, and I am told they can't diagnose the issue because the vehicle is behaving today. I said I am worried about getting stranded with the weather getting cold. They have nothing to say to that. I explain to them that the problem is inconsistent, and it's not my fault that it's not having issues today when I finally have an appointment. Again, nothing to say. I ask if next time that my vehicle is having the same issue if I should drive it directly to the dealership, as I can't predict when the issue occurs to make an appointment for that day. They tell me no. They suggest I take a video next time and they can escalate it to the Hyundai technical support team. So how am I supposed to get my car fixed?? This vehicle was bought new not even a year and a half ago! Totally unacceptable! Clearly I wouldn't have spent my afternoon waiting around at the dealership if there was no issue. I think it is asinine that I was turned away with no resolution in an unsafe vehicle! If they are able to escalate the issue then they should have done it TODAY and sent me home in a rental until the problem was fixed! Instead I have to risk driving in the bad weather coming soon in a new vehicle that doesn't start and being stranded??? Absolutely terrible service. I am considering just trading the car in and going back to Chevy vehicles; Chevy never gave me bad service that could potentially put me in danger. I cannot believe that after buying the car new just last year and with it being under warranty that I am being denied service. read more

Because of this dealership I will never own another Hyundai again in my life. For the past 3 years that I have had this car, if there was a recall, they would not notify me. I would have to find out at other places (oil changes, Ohio BMV other dealerships etc). When I would bring my car in they would tell me "oh it doesn't apply to your car(which would later turn out it did apply to my car)" or "oh we don't have a fix for that." My most recent recall, most dangerous of them all. Their response at the dealership was "oh I'm sorry you have to drive your family in a car that could potentially catch on fire but there's nothing we can do for you." And the best part of that is, is that I bought it from a Preston dealership and this is how you treat your customers. Due to this recall, I can't even trade it in and get any type of value because of how unsafe it is and Preston can't turn around and sell it. But that's okay because it's not Preston or their employees with families driving this unsafe car so it's okay to turn away a mom who has to drive her child in this car. Wouldn't even offer to loan me a rental until the recall was fixed. I will NEVER shop at another Preston dealership again and I will most definitely NEVER own another Hyundai. read more

Absolutely atrocious customer service in the sales department. The sale person and financing person had no interest in selling me a car after finding out I wasn't financing with them. (They couldn't give me a better APR than the one I'd already been pre-approved for...The salesman said, "We can probably come within a point of it" and looked surprised when I said, "Then of course I'll go with the lower rate.") They said they were "trying" to find me a car and never called back. I seriously have never seen a car dealership that tried harder to NOT sell a car. read more

Do NOT service your car here I bought a used 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe from this dealership 2 years ago. I never had any trouble with it at all, that is until I took it in for service 5-6 months ago. I have not had a working car since. They told me it was a problem with the spark plugs. Days later they tell me they dropped a screw into the engine and turned it on. After going back and forth at least 10 times, and having them fix one thing after another including replacing the engine, the engine light came on again. Now they say it's the catalytic converter and that they're not liable for it even though they probably got fluid into it or took it out and put it back wrong. Each time I took it to them they'd say they fixed things, I'd ask them for a written record of what they did, and they either refused or gave me a list that didn't include everything they said they did. They lied repeatedly about what they did, for example the very first time they tried to return my car it was rattling and running rough and they tried to return it to me with the engine broken. Only after I refused to take it back did they admit it wasn't fixed and actually replaced the engine they said they had fixed. Now they are refusing to pay for the converter and they keep trying to get me to trade in the car for a new car after THEY broke it. DO NOT trust them with your car. They will only break it and lie to you about it. read more

Purchased a vehicle on 9/12/18. I have been very happy with the vehicle, but for some reason they charged me for a new plate when we were transferring my old plate. A day or 2 after the purchase, I called Ryan to ask why I was charged for a new plate when we are transferring my old plate. He said if he overcharged me I would receive a refund. Today is 10/23/18, my temporary plate expires on 10/27/18, and I have not yet received my plate. I called on 10/15/18, and was told it mailed out on 9/27/18. Then after SEVERAL phone calls, I was told on 10/18/18 that they overnighted it to me and I should have it on Friday. I just received a phone call TODAY (10/23/18) from the Mercer County Messenger Service stating that they just received it, and they need to process it before they can send it to me. AGAIN, my temporary plate expires on 10/27/18, and my vehicle needs inspected before the transferred plate will be valid. And when I have asked to speak to a manager, I was lied to by Ryan. I was told he was not in. I am still waiting on the truth of what has caused the delay. read more

Took my wife's car in for service on Saturday morning. We were asked if we wanted the car washed when finished. No problem. Saturday at 3pm, we called to see how car was coming along since we had not heard anything. The service department had left at 2. no one called us and told us this. The salesman who answered the phone said he would call the manager and someone would call us back. At 4 pm, we called back and EVERYONE was now gone for the day. No car for work Monday. The car is under warranty. It is not even the fact we do not have a car that upsets me. It is that NO ONE called me or my wife!! Better yet, they were gone for the weekend. When we spoke on Monday, I was not happy and was then lied to stating they left us a voice message. BTW, we still do not have a car. Never going to Preston again!! read more

I came in this past weekend after a long day of test driving cars with not real intent of trading in my old car and getting a new one that day. After test driving two versions of the new kona I fell in love. Matt in the sales department was super helpful and figured out a great deal for me pretty quickly considering they were short staffed that day and it was right before they closed. Ended up driving out of there in my new car. BUYERS BEWARE!! I bought a used "fully inspected" Elantra from Preston this year. The day after I took the car home I noticed a loud shriek coming from underneath the hood. After getting it checked out, the mechanic told me the serpentine belt had to be replaced. After contacting Preston about this issue, they refused to give me a refund (or do anything to rectify the situation) even though the belt was bad when they sold it! A week later my car would not start, and of course, more money was about to be dished out for a new battery. Once again, Preston played pass the buck and refused to do anything. Additionally, they never sent me a promised check for filling the gas tank up (it was bone dry when I purchased the car even though they stated it would be on full when I picked it up).
