My temporary plates expired, and I had to alert Preston multiple times and request new temporary plates. One manager simply hung the telephone up on me. In addition, I had to submit documents to the dealership repeatedly. There is no customer service, as Preston simply wants to make a sale. On multiple occasions, I received inaccurate and false information from the dealership. DO NOT purchase from this dealership!

In 2022, I traded a vehicle while buying a new one and they sold the trade before I signed the papers on the new one. They took 8 WEEKS to pay off my trade. They paid off everything except $600 and admitted it was a clerical error on their part. I called them twice a week for 6 weeks after I realized the trade had an outstanding balance. They kept telling me they would take care of it. I ended up calling the bank, explaining the issue and they confirmed I would get the title if I went ahead and paid the $600. Only after I threatened Preston Auto that I would pay it off and keep the title, did they send the bank the money. It also took 3 trips to get me my second key fob after initially sending two young guys (one with his pants hanging down around his buns) to my house to unsuccessfully program it. I'm guessing one or both were children of the owners/managers. The service department in Hurlock was terrible too. The short guy was rude and condescending. Their "best" sunroof service guy damaged the car when it was being worked on so I got to know them pretty well. I will travel across three states to avoid buying from them ever again. If only I could give them zero stars.

Hello, I bought a…read more2023 Mach E and the buying experience was good-pretty standard. I love the car. I brought it in for its 10K service, which is essentially a tire rotation. I was told the aftermarket wheels needed a "key" to remove the lug nuts. After some time, one of the mechanics was able to find a key that worked and did the rotation. because of the key issue I was at the dealership for over an hour. I was then given a quote for new wheel nuts with a new key, and was told they could only be ordered in sets (key and nuts). I made an appointment, showed up on time, and then waited 1 and 1/2 hours to be told (information was unclear) the parts were never ordered or were ordered but didn't fit. I had just wasted 1 and 1/2 hours. From my perspective Preston should've comped the set. After all, they sold me the car (incomplete at that) and we weren't talking about a lot of money. I was told I'd get a call the same day to resolve the issue. I never heard from them again, and that's after calling and leaving a message, and after filling out their customer service survey and giving them honest feedback (and providing my number and email address). In the end I went to a tire shop here in Easton (Spurry Tire), took the guy five minutes to find a matching spline. Which he then refused to charge me for (that's customer service!) It's a shame that a simple service visit tarnished what had been a favorable opinion of the dealership. FYI, it does follow the car not being detailed when I picked it up after purchase, but that's another story.

Hello and thank you in advance for reading my review on the Hertrich Chevrolet GMC Buick…read moredealership. This whole experience started where I was having no luck in finding a particular vehicle in my area (Rhode Island), and when extending my search criteria, I found the vehicle which I was looking for at this Hertrich dealership. Without delay, I contacted the dealership and made a request that they put a hold on the vehicle so that I may have the opportunity to drive down to the dealership (7 hours one way), view the vehicle, and hopefully purchase same. My call was then transferred to the general manager, whom graciously stated that he would in fact hold the vehicle for me. Upon my arrival the following day, I was greeted by general manager Patrick Papineau and salesman, Alex White. The gentlemen immediately brought me to what I can now say is my vehicle, and I couldn't have been more pleased with not just the greeting, but the condition of the vehicle. I got the impression that like a chef at a fine cuisine restaurant, prepared and plated a fine presentation of the vehicle for my viewing. The salesman, Alex White, was extremely knowledgeable and helpful with providing information on the vehicle along with setting up my Bluetooth and contacting my insurance company to add my vehicle to the policy. Upon my completion of the transaction with Alex, Alex then led me to the finance department where I dealt with Kendall Henry to finalize my purchase and complete the paperwork. Before I had my gluteus maximus in the seat, Kendall had all my paperwork on the desk ready for me to sign, and she had me out in under 10 minutes. Upon completion of the documentation with Kendall, I gave a final thank you and goodbye to Kendall, then with GM, Patrick Papineau, and salesman, Alex White. As mentioned above, I'm from Rhode Island, and my typical experiences at dealerships are never easy and or enjoyable as typically, and traditionally, there's a lot of haggling and other BS with the salesman and then comes the assistant manager and or general manager to talk to you and come out with the infamous phrase "what can we do to convince you to buy this vehicle". Well, I'm not sure if it's a southern thing or what, but my experience at this dealership was profound. I found that they were not the typical dealership. They were beyond professional, kind, personable, organized, efficient, and genuine. They truly treated me like family. I can honestly say from the time I arrived till the time I departed from the dealership was probably a total of an hour and a half, and most of that involved simple talk between a northerner and a few southerners. Though the drive there and back was not the greatest and or shortest trip, I would gladly travel back to this dealership for any future purchases, and highly recommend this dealership to all that is looking to purchase a new or newer vehicle. Purchasing a new or newer vehicle should be an exciting experience, not a stressful one. Thank you all who took the time to read this review, and a great big thank you once again to Patrick, Alex, and Kendall. I also would like to thank the Chef that prepared my plate, good job on the presentation, it was a 10 out of 10 (of course I am talking about the detailing department). Lastly, to the CEO of Hertrich Motor Group, you have a great staff at this dealership. The dealership is beyond well managed and the staff is truly an asset to the Hertrich Motor Group.

I usually come here for my oil change because it's on the Eastern Shore and it lets me visit my family. Been going here for years with my truck There have been two instances where they lost my service records despite all my oil changes being done at official Chevy, Buick, GMC, etc dealerships. There was one time they called me after I scheduled a service a month out, asking me to change my appointment time, even though I'd done it a month out again. There have been times when I tried to use my GMC rewards points toward my service, but they won't apply the points even when they ask me. And even though I always schedule a service and I come on time/early, they always put me behind at least two other people, usually just walk-ins who don't have scheduled appointments. I think I may stick to using Bob Bell Chevrolet in Baltimore as my service since that's where I bought my truck.

Additionally, they don't take care of any damage occurred to the vehicle while in their possession so be ready to take care of any issues yourself. This is a mixed review because, on one hand, I had a good experience with the Sales team specifically with Sean Spillane, Skylar, and Sean Raspberry. On the other hand, this has been a terrible experience with the aftersales process in trying to obtain a resolve for damage that occurred while the car was still at the dealership, registration and title transfer. The sales process was great. Sean & Skylar was very accommodating through the sales process as I was an out of state buyer. I had lots of questions and needed time to make the travel to MD from CA to see the car in-person. The car checked out initially: very clean for a 2005 with ~80K miles, my inspection and PPI identified oil leaks from 3 issues, and the car ran very well in comparison to other Miata's I've driven. I purchased a PPI, as I always do for preowned cars, but the dealership was not willing to fix any of the issues which had numerous oil leaks. The others were fair based on the age of the car. I then bought this Miata (NB2) on January 14th. The car was kept at the dealership for 1-2 weeks while transport was being setup to pickup the car. During this time, there was a major snowstorm on the East Coast. 1) When transport arrived a couple weeks later, I noticed multiple damage on the passenger right side of the car (shown in photos). It looked like someone swiped the side of the car (possibly when a driver moved the car around at the lot they swiped it somewhere). Now, what was a very clean car for it's age is now damaged where bodywork is needed. The worse areas are the mud flap and part of the quarter panel where the paint is chipped off to the primer. The other areas seem like it is surface damage but still requires bodywork. When I brought this up to the dealership, the General Manager stated that they will not be offering a fix for the repair. A partial fix was not even offered. After they received my full payment for the car, it seems that's all they care about and any issues after sales doesn't matter. 2) For the past few months, I've been trying to obtain my registration and title for the car. As I fully paid off the car including paying a couple thousand in taxes for the registration transfer, they're supposed to complete the documentation and provide the registration and title on a timely manner. It is now 3 months later, and I still don't have both. I completed their requests for additional information for the registration. However, their communication has been absolutely terrible in this whole aftersales process. Particularly, the miscommunication between the accounting department and sales team is causing heavy delays for a proper move forward. From their response about the damage to the progress on the transfer, I'm having to constantly call and email them multiple times a week only to obtain that progress is still outstanding. Again, I bought the car on January 14th, and it is now April 21st, but I still don't have the registration and title.

We wanted to trade our year-old, immaculate SUV for their larger one. Two times, we made offers on their vehicle and were eagerly waiting to hear back from the salesperson regarding those offers. Unfortunately, the salesperson did not get back to us and we had to reach out to get a response. We have not heard back yet with our latest offer and it has been a few days. It's disappointing and the lack of professionalism is unfortunate. Our vehicle is like-new and they could make a nice profit by selling it on their lot. The right deal would be a win-win for both parties. Even if they were not interested in our offer, a phone call, email, or text to express this sentiment would have been the right thing to do.
