We moved here from Chicago and were worried about finding a quality pediatrician for our 3 year old and newborn. I'm so glad we found Preston Ridge because they exceeded my expectations. The amount of waiting time to see a doctor/nurse is always a top priority as a mom of young children. Thankfully, we have never had to wait very long! We have a beautiful baby boy. He is healthy and vibrant. We as parents have decided not to vaccinate our child. Doesn't matter if your for it or against it it's our choice as a parent. This practice is discriminating against a healthy child for no reason. We were informed that this practice doesn't judge but apparently they do. The front desk, office assistant, and the office manager were rude and disrespectful. I would not recommend this pediatric office if you're looking for a place that Has your children's best interest in mind. We were supposed to see Dr. Elizabeth McKinnon. We stopped by here the other day after work as part of our process of scouting out pediatricians for the pending arrival of our little bundle of joy. We met with Dr. Douglass and we really liked her, as is mentioned in the other reviews, she has three children of her own so her advice is coming from a mother AND a doctor. The really cool thing about the area that their office is located in is that there are several different types of doctors located in this area. My wife's doctor, my doctor, and the baby's doctor are located in basically the same building, this is good news for dad (me) since I will be doing a lot of the driving and I don't want to have to drive all over the Atlanta Metro area due to our famous traffic congestion, LOL. Some of the other features that I especially liked is that they have separate waiting rooms for sick children and another for children that aren't sick. They also don't allow toys n the waiting area, which I had never seen before. I think this is good because they will probably be covered with germs from all the sick children going in and out of there. They also have a good relationship with the hospital that we will be working with and I think that will pay dividends when delivery time gets here. We went to see several pediatricians and we were very impressed with Dr. Douglass, I think we have found our pediatrician. read more

We loved our pediatrician in Colorado, so when we moved here.... I was scared. There are things I liked better about our old practice, but here are the things I love about Preston Ridge. It is Big and the two times I have called for a sick appointment, I was able to leave right then and hear their way. That is amazing and in those moments, nothing could be more important. Both physicians have been very kind to our son and took their time to discuss items with us. We have seen Dr. Kelly (the male) and Dr. Penny. We would be very comfortable with either and that gives us great flexibility. The nurses have been ok, but in the end.... it matters that I trust the doctor most. They do have a sick and well waiting area which was important to me, especially when my little guy was smaller. They also have a teen room which he may one day appreciate. All in all.... I would recommend this practice to friends and family. read more

I have been using Preston Ridge Pediatrics for 15 years and have always been very happy and satisfied from the front desk to all of the nurses and doctors. We recently switched to Dr. McKinnon as its harder and harder to get in with Dr. Papciak. I just went last week with my 18 year old for his annual check up. My son has has various health issues and social delays. He is not quick to warm up to new people but he was so at ease with her. She was very thorough, kind, and respectful. She had to discuss some difficult topics with him and I was just amazed how wonderful she was. I am not sure how long she will see "big kids" but we love her. We had bloodwork drawn that Thursday afternoon and since she had received some results by Friday, she had her nurse call to give me the good results right away. We also saw her last year for my younger son and he was also really happy with his visit. She thoroughly reviewed his history before meeting him and he could tell she really wanted to get to know him. Its not everyday that a 14 year old will say "wow she was really good" about a doctor. I am not one to usually take the time to write reviews but I just wanted to acknowledge how kind, thorough and compassionate Dr. McKinnon has been. read more

We switched to this office when we had a few negative experiences at my sons former pediatrician, and I am happy that we did. We normally see Dr. Murad, and she is very straight to the point and knowledgeable. She was able to diagnose my son with Pertussis, after months of other doctors giving us the run around about allergies etc. The office is clean, has a sick and well waiting room, and they always have a kids movie playing which is great for my antsy toddler. read more

Front desk customer service is trouble. You get treated by the front desk as if you are nothing. They have their own selection of group of people that they treat when they walk into the door. Front desk very unwilling to process any paper work that you need from them and HR mgr doesn't seem to care when you voice your problem. Doctors are good but push medication down your throat. We love several of the staff at Preston Ridge. Kelly Shaw has always been a concerned and caring person. She does a great job with first times parents. She never seems rushed to get in and out. Always taking the time to explain everything and answer all of the dumb questions that first time parents have. Another thing that we like is that this practice is been around a really long time. How long? My wife's pediatrician Dr. Papciak when she was a baby is still working and seeing patients and is our son's doctor. Dr. Papciak is an incredible doctor. Very good manner, seems to know just about everything about kids, and has helped us survive lots of little problems with our son. We've been to this pediatric office twice now (we moved when my son was 18 months old). Other reviewers recommended Dr. Papciak, but he is no longer with the practice. Our first visit was just OK... we went on a Monday morning for flu shot and to get mysterious bug bites diagnosed. We saw Dr. Murad and were less than impressed. Knowledgeable, yes, but didn't seem to have much time for us or patience for our questions and concerns. Decided to give the practice another shot and saw DR. JUSTER yesterday. She was so fabulous!!! My son was shy at first, but she was great with him and he warmed up very quickly to her. Biggest plus is that she's very thorough...she said she's a worry wart and won't sleep if she realized she forgot to cover something. She welcomed questions and I didn't feel like she was trying to rush us out of the office. She brought up a concern which no other doctor has before, but I was mainly impressed with her thoroughness and the time she devoted to us and our questions. And she talked more about food and nutrition than previous doctors have took, which is appreciated as a mother of a sometimes picky toddler! Summary: 1) Avoid Monday morning appointments if possible (busy with extra sick patients from weekend) 2) See Dr. Juster! 3) No food or drink in the office, so make sure your little ones are well fed and watered before you arrive. read more

I went to this pediatrics when I was a little girl and through my teen years. I went to Dr. Papciak at first, he wasn't my favorite. He made me feel very uncomfortable, I never had any good memories going to him. I would not recommend him. I ended up changing to Dr. Douglass and she made me feel very comfortable. She made me feel at ease and I was happy when I went to see her. I would recommend her for anyone who is looking for a good pediatrician for their child. read more

My children have been coming here since they were 1 and 3. They are now 12 and 14. Our family has loved this practice. Both children started with Dr. Douglass, and when my son turned 12, he switched to Dr. Papciak. Both are wonderful. Dr. Papciak is incredibly supportive though often he seems rushed. I cannot say enough about Dr. Douglass. She knows my daughter intimately, and has treated her as a mother and a doctor. She has been supportive of our family when our children are sick, and often goes above and beyond. We recently moved from Georgia, but we love her so much that we will be returning annually for my daughter's check ups. She is extraordinary. The other doctors in the practice as just as good when our two primary doctors are not available. In particular, we always ask to see either Dr. Murad or Dr. Jester. Both are also phenomenal. Dr. Murad knows asthma and medicines that are unique to my children and their symptoms, which it would seem all doctors do, but often they prescribe reflexively; she doesn't. She takes her time. Dr. Jester makes the cutest bird noises, and it always brings a smile to my children's faces, even now. The consistency of the staff speaks volumes about the working conditions and the professionalism. All of these doctors have been there since we started with the practice in 2001. The front office staff is courtesy, and my children can always get in even when they are sick at the last minute. I only wish I could move them with us to Virginia, but since that's not possible, we will travel back once a year for their well-care appointments. read more
