Breath of fresh air in Arkansas restaurants - these folks know one thing that makes Arkansas special (farmers) and highlight farm food with burgers, Italian style pizzas, balanced entrees, and a small selection of exceptional desserts. Every meal comes with a fresh (actual green and rainbow veg) salad beforehand. The touches in this place make it cozy, too - thick cloth napkins, stoneware plates and mugs. Real wood chairs. Interesting art on the walls. Plus, for drinks, they have something for everyone. Classic soda drinkers can get a homemade soda. Hot tea drinkers can get a loose leaf pot. Even milk for the kids. Servers were attentive but not overly so, knowledge about the menu, and willing to work with us on changes. The owner oriented us to the menu. Major bonus : while we waited for the food, we shopped at the mercantile general store attached they also own that has some really special whole food / locally sourced items. Hesitantly gave three stars. The food and atmosphere were amazing! I had the Emu burger and my date had the okra masala...both expertly done, piping hot and fresh. My issue was mainly with the personal interaction with the staff. I arrived just at opening so I had to excuse the unprepared host and their efforts still getting the menus folded and ready. As for the other interaction, and I really appreciated the information on where the food was sourced, however I felt there was no time to talk to my date as the conversation was overwhelmed by frequent and unexpected interruption. As for the beers, I would say they were ok. Nothing stands out to me on their characteristic, and I had a hard time finding one that fit my liking. read more

What a find in this small town. Very unusual menu, great presentation and flavors. They've done a great job with this old building creating a lovely setting with unusual art and unique ironwork. So fun to find these gems when traveling! read more

Amazing find during our road trip while heading back home to San Diego. The food was fantastic. I really appreciated all the clean and locally sourced ingredients. The service was exceptional and the staff made us feel welcomed. I also loved the ambiance as well. Although we didn't have reservations, they were able to seat us without hassle on a busy Saturday evening. I highly recommend this restaurant if you want a delicious and authentic meal. read more

Prestonrose Farm's new Towne Bistro in Clarksville is delightful! Their adaptive farm-to-table menu, which sources local produce and proteins, includes inventive takes on traditional comfort classics. The Wontaco appetizer with an elote style filling was a terrific surprise. They serve local beer, wine, and sake too. Lots of vegetarian and vegan friendly choices. It's the complete package: friendly, attentive service, good ambiance, and great food. It was a 1+ hour drive for us and we will definitely be back! read more

First off, great service! Great atmosphere, very nice decor. The host is everywhere! Constantly visiting with everyone and making sure they were pleased and informed. Btw, the food is amazing! Fresh locally grown meats, vegetables, grains, etc. My wife had an amazing brisket. I oddly for me went with a kimchi and garlic pizza. I normally do not choose a vegetarian option of anything. However, I would have missed out if I had not followed my instincts and my host's advice. The dessert I had was named a strawberry blonde! Imagine my amazement when it was brought out and it was green and pink! I was shocked initially. Took a bite and my indignation at being so thoroughly confused was turned to immediate delight. Btw, my wife's apple crisp was pretty phenomenal as well. I should be shot for not taking pictures of the wonderful presentations that came to our table. My only defense is that when the house salad and dressing came out it was so delicious I forgot pictures until we had eaten every single bite. fantastic dinner with spouse , son and his spouse . very impressed with the high quality and presentation small plates and entree....we shared shared four appetizers and three entrees,, six glasses of wine and one of apple straw berry hard cider.....oh and two delicious desserts......you can't go wrong here , the staff was friendly helpful and very knowledgeable...one of the best meals in Arkansas while on a two week vacation......you will be amazed at and happily surprised at discovering this local gem !!! read more
