Well, let me tell you, this wasn't just any old watering hole. This was the kind of place where the locals come to take a load off, to toast one another's birthdays and wave goodbye to forty years at the mill, and to do it all in the same chairs their granddaddies probably leaned on. The bar, previously the bank, had been standing so long it might as well have been written into the town charter. You could see it in that picture on the wall--half a century in one frame, another half tacked on, like a time-lapse of laughter and spilled beer. Now, the food--Lord help me--wasn't what you'd call gourmet. It was what every club in America serves when the fryer's hot and the cook's in a hurry. They sprinkled something called Old Bank Seasoning on just about everything. Imagine Old Bay with more salt and less charm. Then they ladled out their "special" cheese sauce, which was nothing more than queso with another fistful of Old Bank tossed in. You'd think after all these years they might've tinkered with it some. But the waitresses smiled, hustled, and earned their tips the hard way. Management kept the lights on and the taps flowing, which is what management's supposed to do. And maybe that's the whole story here: you come expecting fireworks, you get a sparkler. But in a town where the bar itself is the landmark, maybe the food's not the point. We stopped here on our way through the state. An old bank turned sports bar. The vibe didn't mesh. The music didn't mesh. The food didn't satisfy. Water never refilled and ketchup not delivered. I was in town for business and my hotel recommended this restaurant. Lilly, the bartender, said she loves the blackened salmon. I love salmon, took her suggestion and paired it with asparagus. I loved the salmon seasonings. The salmon and asparagus were both cooked to perfection. I would definitely come back if I am back in Russellville again. read more

Not sure why this place got such low reviews. Maybe because of the old owners? We were told to try out Old Bank as a great place for burgers and steak. I got a build your own burger; just added cheese and bacon, and I have to say it was one of the better burgers in town. My wife got the nachos which were really good, but I felt they looked very plain. Presented more like chips and cheese. I think some black olives or other garnish on top would go a long way. The server was good, and the manager extremely friendly. I didn't get a chance to go upstairs where they have a live music venue, as well as karaoke. Near the restroom is a very nice indoor golf course, complete with immersive giant screen and personal table; I think there are four different scenes to host multiple groups. I don't know what the heck is going on here but everytime the owners are not here the service is HORRIBLE!! Our order was taken and as soon as the food was brought to the table we never saw our server again. Took forever to get our drinks, some ketchup which by the time it was brought out we were done. Took the server over 1/2 an hour to come back to the table to see if we needed anything we told her just the check which took another 1/2 an hour. We come here often but have noticed the last few months the service is terrible. Not sure we will be back. You guys need to get it together. With only 3 's, we were almost didn't choose The Old Bank. But, it was local, the interior looked inviting, and our favorite place at home is underrated. We decided to go for it. Friendly hostess seated us in a comfy booth and became our stellar server. We chose to start our meal with the hummus (in the salad section of menu) as an appetizer. It was sort of tart and hearty. A large portion which gave us leftovers to enjoy. Next came the added side salad. Hubs ordered it with ranch but I asked for house on side. House was a homemade maple mustard(?) Vinaigrette. I'm a salad dressing fork tine dipper. I prefer the dressing to just lightly flavor the greens. Well, I did it. I drizzled the entire thing over the salad. It was that good. Burger was just what ya want when you go for the jalapeño bun and fresh jalapeños. Super umami. Rally delicious. We shared everything and took some home. The new old bank is way Russellville needed! Excellent drink menu, large but not chaotic menu and excellent service! Price point is spot on, people complaining about a $30 steak probably order steaks well done and have never had a good piece of meat. Osso Buco is now available and it's just as good if you went to a 5 star restaurant (actual truth) and it's half the price! They still have live music and week day events so if that's your thing you have a place that's more upscale with all the fun! Ignore the comments hating on the price or food selection. The Old Bank is a staple for downtown Russellville. The restaurant has undergone significant changes in the last couple years, but I feel like they've finally found what works. The food is consistently good and the menu has a variety of flavors. Portions are good and priced reasonably as well. So we were in town for Baseball Tournament and were looking for a great place to eat that could handle our baseball team. Let me say this about the service. We over whelmed our poor server, but she powered through and did an amazing job. She didn't mess up any of the orders, the food came out in a timely manner. The food was great. Fresh cooked, great tasting comfort food. We ate it so quick on day 1 that I didn't get a picture of it! But the place was so good we went back for dinner the next day. I will say one thing else. The food is reasonably priced which is nice! We fed a family of 5 with 2 apps and a couple of adult drinks for 80.00 which is very rare these days. Attended a team dinner on 9/23/24. Heirloom Tomato and Burrata salad was unique and very good. Main course was Filet Minon with horseradish mashed potatoes. The dinner menu has become much more upscale with a one page choice of entrees priced at $25-40. Appetizers are hummus vs onion rings. Again, if you prefer a higher end restaurant in Russellville, it will be a good choice. I am sure the Trout Almondine and Filet Mignon are good, just not my expectation. The drink menu is larger than than actual menu which is good if you need to quench your thirst. The Akaushi Burger was tasty , made with Akaushi wagyu patty, truffle mayonnaise, tobacco onions, pommes frites ( fries ) cheese is available upon request. I choose cheddar ( I believe pepperjack and Swiss was also available). The flavor was there , asked for medium , it was a little more on the well done side. This option came with side salad ( which was well put together and decent size). I was definitely full. Prices are a tad on the high side , was not about to pay $42 for a 6 oz filet mignon , a smidge absurd. May come back for drinks and appetizers but won't plan on getting dinner !! read more
