Well, no good way to begin this so I guess I'll just dive in. Stopped in the other day coming back…read morefrom Fort Smith because my wife's son won an award there for his Korn tribute band. So in the interest of fairness, maybe my mood was already a little soured. But the events that transpired in this restaurant certainly didn't help, and likely took years off my life. The trouble began before we even got in the restaurant. A gentleman had parked his truck, revving ostentatiously, in between my car and the front door. He kept giving me and my wife weird, hostile looks. When we walked by, she (my wife is a kind soul) presumably gave him a look of concern, and this guy cracks his window-- doesn't roll it down all the way, like he's scared of the cold or something-- and starts going "What? What?" like he's Taxi Driver. Remember that movie? He was totally freaking out. He was shaking in there. Maybe he really was cold...At any point I took him for a harmless(?) druggie, and we kept walking. We get into the restaurant, and get a seat by the window. We get a nice server at least, girl named Autumn (I know because I made her write it down for us) and order some food. Things are finally taking a turn for the better, or that's what we hope. No points for guessing who comes walking in. The parking lot crazy. Imagine my delight when he starts walking into the kitchen. Maybe a minute passes. I hear yelling from the kitchen, and this lunatic and some other guy are screaming at each other. Judging from the name his interlocutor kept using, crazy guy's name is Lando or Larry or something like that. Lando/Larry is screaming about how he doesn't want to make the food! It was like something out of Kitchen Nightmares. Server Autumn at least was pretty apologetic to me and my wife, and attempted to distract us from the sounds of World War 3 coming back from the kitchen. I suppose it was a little heartwarming to see that someone there was actually capable of doing their damn job. Oh, this bears mentioning. We ordered burgers. Simple right? I wish! Oh my God how I wish it had been as simple it should have been! The burgers come out burned to hell and back and hard enough to stop a bullet. They looked like hockey pucks! Tasted like them too. At least our waitress was fast with the refills so we could drink enough sweet tea to keep us alive for the truck stop sandwiches that would have to be our dinner tonight since our South Park experience was a complete and utter failure. My advice to weary travelers? If you stop at South Park, run in, tip the waiters, then get out without ordering a bite. It's better that way, trust me. And maybe convince the people of Arkansas to invest in some rehab services-- nobody's stomach rumbles when you've got to contend with some tweaked out crazy person looking like he might shiv you in the parking lot. Then burning your food like it's the evidence that leads back to his meth lab. Gerald C, signing off.

The food portions were very generous and flavorful. Although I feel the dinner salad was a little lacking Overall would definitely go back!

Breath of fresh air in Arkansas restaurants - these folks know one thing that makes Arkansas…read morespecial (farmers) and highlight farm food with burgers, Italian style pizzas, balanced entrees, and a small selection of exceptional desserts. Every meal comes with a fresh (actual green and rainbow veg) salad beforehand. The touches in this place make it cozy, too - thick cloth napkins, stoneware plates and mugs. Real wood chairs. Interesting art on the walls. Plus, for drinks, they have something for everyone. Classic soda drinkers can get a homemade soda. Hot tea drinkers can get a loose leaf pot. Even milk for the kids. Servers were attentive but not overly so, knowledge about the menu, and willing to work with us on changes. The owner oriented us to the menu. Major bonus : while we waited for the food, we shopped at the mercantile general store attached they also own that has some really special whole food / locally sourced items. They are open for dinner every night after 5pm. On every road trip past Clarksville, I will return!

My issue was mainly with the personal interaction with the staff. I arrived just at opening so I had to excuse the unprepared host and their efforts still getting the menus folded and ready. As for the other interaction, and I really appreciated the information on where the food was sourced, however I felt there was no time to talk to my date as the conversation was overwhelmed by frequent and unexpected interruption. As for the beers, I would say they were ok. Nothing stands out to me on their characteristic, and I had a hard time finding one that fit my liking.

Our wives ordered pork tamales ala carte and I ordered a beef taco, and 2 beef enchiladas with queso. At the last moment, I ordered 2 birria tacos with spicy salsa and my BIL ordered a steak burrito with no salsa. The tamales ( although pork) came with a ground beef sauce which they said was excellent. The burrito was ok, but he said it definitely needed the salsa and then it would've been perfect. The ground beef taco and enchiladas were spot on, but the birria tacos were . Some of the best I've ever had. The spicy salsa is not for the faint of heart as it has a kick, but delicious. If you're in the area and hungry for Mexican food, you will not go away hungry.

In one of my experiences with this restaurant my mom got birrai tacos with a vein still in the beef. I have gotten undercooked chicken almost every other time I come here. And last but most definitely not least the atmosphere. The whole place is filthy and the bathroom has pee stains on the toilet and floor. If you want good authentic Mexican food DONT COME HERE. There are many great Mexican restaurants near.
