Course is very pricey for conditions the greens were trashed and spotty no straight lines when you have a giant dent in the green changing where your ball goes. Had a 7:00 AM tee time and arrived at 6:40 AM to find the course completely locked up. Waited until after 7:20 and nobody ever showed. This course is embarrassing. If you like putting on dirt, hitting off of rocky fairways, and tee boxes you can't even put a tee in this is the course for you. The guy at the club house said the fairways were a little "hard" right now cause they don't have the best sprinkler system. However, the sprinkler system doesn't seem to be the issue. The issue is they put no effort into maintaining this course. They had to make the greens smaller to make it appear they weren't 100% dirt. And that's about all the effort they put into it. Such a shame to charge $45 for a round here. The only reason to go back to this course is because they have plenty of open tee times and Bluetooth speaker on the golf cart. read more

Definitely disappointed with the Mother's Day buffet. $30 a person I expected at least some biscuits or eggs available. Reservation was for 130 seated by 150 buffet nearly empty! Asked if more was coming was told yes, but only no biscuits, no turkey among other items. Ordered an omelette was given the wrong one, no problem they remade it . They put hamburgers on the buffet after they ran out of biscuits only they had no buns or any toppings for a burger!!! Also said a pasta bar but that also wasn't around. The only part that was good was the waffle bar but I do suggest more toppings & the home made pastries from a local shop. Overall I will not rush back for the brunch buffet. read more

First time golfing at this course. Wouldn't go back especially for $55 a round. Understandably it was cart path only after the rains this week, however, this brings on 2 complaints. 1st---we were ON the path and our cart kept locking up on us. Then our handy little electronic range finder on the cart would tell us to get back ON the path and that we were 14 minutes behind pace after waiting for people in front of us, walking to our balls....which brings the 2nd complaint....everyone and I mean everyone else we saw on the course was NOT on the cart path. The course itself had long grass....yes understandable after rains....but a ton of dandelions and clover and even weeds IN greens. Overall, not a great experience; thank goodness it was a lovely weather day!! read more

Menu has improved. No longer have steak on menu, however. Spicy shrimp appetizer is excellent. Fish and chips very good as is the Salmon Caeser Salad. Staff is friendly and ready to assist. Honestly the worst experience I have had at an establishment in a long time. My mother, sister and I arrive before our tee time and got our carts. When we arrive we spoke to the lady at the desk. My mom paid for us and the lady at the desk mentioned we didn't have collared shirts on and offered us lenders for our visit. She never gave us the shirts so we just walked out with our golf cart keys in hand. We are not expert level golfers by any standard and we were just waiting for one another to finish their drive. The course was not in great shape at all. The course was very worn down. No one was on the course so we were taking our time. We were switching off golf clubs/drivers with one another. We didn't even finish our first hole when the lady that checked us in drove out to our hole and said we can't be there without our own clubs. She never mentioned anything about having our own clubs. It honestly felt racial and I hate saying that but it really felt targeted toward me and my sister who are biracial. I definitely will never be back and feel that the office should have posted a notice about not sharing. My mom mentioned that she was at the course 2 weeks ago and she never received flack about not wearing a collared shirt or having her own clubs. The customer service was some of the worst I have ever experienced. I don't recommend prestwick to anyone. read more

Staff were great, the guy at the pro shop counter was nice and helpful. Grounds were horrible and in need of serious maintenance. Weeds growing everywhere, sand bunkers hard and unmaintained with weeds growing through them, tee boxes full of unrepaired grass, fairways had patches of rough grass growing in them and the putting greens had patches of dry grass and dirt. read more

We were there for easter brunch. It was around 12:30. Alot r of food was empty and what we were able to get was substandard to say the least. They did restock. The green beans had no flavor, ham had some dried up ham loaded on top of fresher, grits were thin and very bland. New ownership is obvious when you walk in on any Friday night. They have reasonably priced food and drinks to along with live music until 10pm or so. Relaxed atmosphere open to everyone not just golfers ... thats what I'm reviewing here. I've been here about 10x with my wife and 2 kids and they love it. Give it a try, you won't regret it. They just started a Sunday Brunch buffet last week. I havent made it there yet, but im looking forward to it this Sunday! read more

Now gotta say how much the restaurant continues to improve. First and last time ever going to this course. Supposedly used to be nice years (decades) ago but wow have they given up entirely. Active construction on holes without mention, goat ranch fairways and tee boxes you can barely force a tee into, extremely patchy "greens" (more dirt and dead spots than green), dry as an absolute bone, I could write a story of horrible course management based on single experience. I paid for 18 and left after 7 holes without taking a rain check because I will never return there and made sure the clubhouse knew how truly awful the conditions are. I actively deter people from wasting even $1 on this course, let alone $35 for a Tuesday morning. Avoid at all costs unless you're the owner of landscaping business because only then would you have use for this abysmal course. read more

The new owners have put a lot of money in the place from what I have heard. I live on the course and have seen an great measures of improvements. The place is looking better everyday and the staff is fantastic. The new owners took over in the Summer of 2021. The are awesome. New cart passes and new equipment. This is what Prestwick needed. As for Max with the bad review, you can get sued for claiming you are intentionolly stopping this business and its revenue stream. Just an FYI. read more

This place is a joke. Jeff is a true golf douche. I called on Friday to make a tee time on Saturday. The 'mysterious employee that no one knows' told me they were WIDE OPEN AFTER 12 noon. We get there and are told we can't play unless we tee off in 2 minutes Bc of a big group going out. When I asked who I was mininformed by the guy had zero accountability and basically told me that my father (that drove 45 mins from the east side) and I are out of luck. And the most he can do is say sorry. No wonder this course has been going under for a decade. Haha. While I am surprised by the less than favorable reviews I've read, I can only share my objective opinion as a guest at a wedding over the weekend. My first thought, as we pulled into the parking lot was how pretty the venue looked from the outside. Big windows, twinkly lights, candles and white table settings. Very classy look. Upon entering, we found it to be just as pretty from the inside. Plenty of space for a dj, cake table, gift table, hors d'oeurvres and dancing. I can't comment on the food quality as we did not eat while we were there. I did, however, notice that the line at the very small bar area took a long time for people to get through. The only negative that I noticed. I'm told this venue was very reasonably priced, so I will definitely keep it in mind as a suggestion for friends and family members looking for an event venue in the future. read more

Terrible & Unprofessional Service. To begin with, the bride had to reschedule TWICE for a food tasting, but that is only the beginning. We (Bride and Bridal party) were told there was a Birthday party scheduled for the night before the wedding but that they would be done by 9PM and we could set up then. The manager then changed it to 9:30PM a few days before, so we showed up at 9:30. The birthday party was still going on when we got there at 9:30, and the hosts of the party said they had it scheduled until 10:30, so we all went to the back room to wait. (No sign of the manager at this point). When we did find the manager, she said we would have to wait until 10:30. *sigh, ok, nothing we can do about this right now* At 10:53, the mother of the bride opened the doors opened the doors to the event room to look for the manager, and one of the guests from the birthday party started getting loud and threatening, saying we were "ruining the party". The manager, instead of compensating each of us for over-booking, said she was not getting involved in a "second grade fight" and THEN..... ....LET THEM RENT THE SPACE FOR AN EXTRA HOUR!! We were not able to start decorating until midnight when we were originally told 9PM. This was a complete disaster the night before the wedding, and the manager was not sympathetic AT ALL for her mistakes and did not offer compensation of any kind. I would NOT recommend. read more

This review is only concerning the food I had at an event here. I can't speak to anything else about the place. I accompanied my husband to a chamber of commerce dinner at Prestwick. The food was in a completely separate area, up a narrow staircase where we both had to wait to get to the food and get back down to return to our seats with assorted plates and bowls. The food was nothing more than standard banquet fare. My chicken breast was cold and dry. The salad was your usual bagged salad. Nothing exciting. Nothing memorable. The parking spaces were seriously close together; it was a tight squeeze for sure. I recently had a rehearsal dinner welcome party dinner at Prestwick and all was great. I had decorations, which they let me in early to do, a banner of photos, which they helped me hang, and had it all set up ahead of time so I was in no rush and able to take my time. I made all the cakes and desserts, which was allowed, but ordered the dinner from them. We had steak and chicken and all the trimmings and everyone enjoyed their dinner. It was a good time and we were close to home as we live in Prestwick. The owner at the time allowed us to pay for the drinks served, which saved us some $$. Overall a good experience. Only a minor suggestion. If they would get rid of carpeting and add a wooden or laminate floor, it would be much better looking. We had a great time as we met our many wedding guests and family. With over 70 people in attendance we too had a great amount of room. read more

Room not ready when guests arrived, hor dourves not as advertised and some just forgotten, the dinner buffet was missing all the side dishes I ordered they just "threw in mixed veggies out of a can". They served all the drinks in plastic glasses including water and charged my guests for drinks I had paid for in advance. While their prices are reasonable I would say this sometimes the cheap comes out expensive. Worst golf course I have ever played at that costs more than $10. Just terrible. They said that they had irrigation issues a couple years ago, "but it's better now". Well then I would hate to have seen it when it was bad. Greens were all chewed up; there was literally dirt patches on some. The fairways were even worse. They were all made up of both dead grass and severely overgrown grass. Don't even understand how you have both? For the same amount of money you can go play at eagle creek, which is 10x better. For less money you can go play at Twin Bridges, which is also way, way better. Going to a country club, I was thinking it would be nice because the last country club course I played at was Dye's Walk on the south side. Well, it wasn't even close. Prestwick is worse than some city courses I've played. I read in another review that their excuse for messing up a couples' wedding was that they are a golf club that occasionally does weddings. After playing golf there, I would hate to see how a wedding goes. read more
