Love this place! This is my first time ever in my life doing anything with my brows - never threaded, waxed, tweezed, etc. I have very thin, sparse brow hair so I just never paid attention to it. I leave 3 stars because I normally come here and am very pleased with how my eyebrows look after Sumi (the owner) finishes. However I went today and was highly disappointed. Sumi was not there so I went ahead with her employee that was there. Big BIG mistake. I've been getting my eyebrows threaded for a while now and it has never hurt. Today, not only did it hurt really bad, but it was burning. Come to find out I was cut. Not like a rug burn feeling, but a full blown cut from thread!! On top of that my eyebrows look HORRIBLE. It's one of those situations where I am going to have to fill them in which I don't like to do. They are so bad I had to ask the employee for tweezers to try and fix them myself. I messed up by not getting that employees name. I would just recommend that if you go here call ahead to get an appointment with Sumi herself. read more

My first time here. I searched "nail salons" on yelp and this was one of the ads that came up during my search. It was interesting to see a business with such rave reviews so inquired and read about their services and what not. I didn't NEED any service there (seeing as i search nail salons and they don't do nails LOL) but i did see eyelash extensions. I had gotten eyelash extensions before and they were a mess so i was reluctant but still intrigued because of the high ratings. I called the number, Sumi answered. She was not there but she scheduled my appointment for me today at 130. I decided to go with the single lash extensions. It was either that or mink (my personal options and since i did not have a good experience the very first time i got mink lashes done elsewhere, i chose the option that wasn't the cheapest but also not the most expensive: single lashes. Urmeela did my lashes today and i really loved them. I was really surprised. She works very quickly and i was in and out of there. So i love my lashes, yes. They now have found themselves a new returning customer. Great experience and service. Only crutch about it is that when i walked into the small little quaint booth, she was on the phone and literally wouldn't stop talking on the phone so we were just looking at each other awkwardly for a moment which was weird and that turned me off the service initially but other than that, i loved it all and will return. read more

I would rate zero stars if possible. First, the shop is filthy with a repugnant odor. Second, the henna itched which leads me to believe it was not chemical free. Third, the design was poor as the "artist" had no knowledge of symmetry. When sharing my concerns with Sumi, she replied the tattoo is in an odd place. I don't understand how an arm is asymmetrical. Needless to say, I walked out during the middle of the appointment. Don't overpay for a 5 year old work of art. read more

Came back in here after a while due to my increasingly busy schedule. Told her what I needed and waited to be serviced. After 5 or so minutes I'm told to sit in the chair. Another customer comes in and asks a question that puts my servicer on a rant. While I'm wondering why she's having a full conversation with the next person without consideration of my time. She finally starts and keeps saying "wow you haven't come here in a while" multiple times. She proceeds to have conversation with other clients prolonging my time. At some point, someone walks in (I can't see bc she's on my lashes) and asks how long. The response was that my lashes would take an hour (they usually take 30 minutes). So out of consideration of my time and the many others waiting, I share that I can come back. At which time she confessed to her lie instead of just telling the other guest it would be a while. She was even eating papaya (fruit) in my face as she did my lashes. Not to mention making me wait to pay knowing that I was on a time crunch. The fact of the matter is that I would have been out of there quicker without the extra, unprofessional, poor customer service. I won't be back. Enjoy. read more

I love this place. I found Sumi on Yelp and was very pleased with the services that she provided. Sumi did my eyebrows and also put Henna on my arm. She was very professional and apologetic for the short time I had to wait. She also does eyelashes which I saw her do on another client. The prices are reasonable. My eyebrows are now laid until my next visit. It is a little hard to find the location because waze sent me to the wrong shopping center. Try putting in Penn station Shopping center. The threading was great... No complaints. But, I look like I have 2 different eyebrows when the henna was complete. I explained the situation, I got a bad was and needed them tinted while they grow back. I asked that the one that was giving me the most issues be matched as much as possible with the other. This didn't happen. No where close. The tech just went along the messed up curve of the over waxed arch. I don't live in that area, so not going back won't be a problem but the only reason I went was because of the reviews. Maybe I caught them on an off day, but I won't be back to test the theory. read more

This place is amazing! It was just what I needed after a super stressful week. They really came in clutch considering I had a wedding to attend the next day. When I walked in, they immediately greeted me and thanked me for coming in. Right then I knew it was going to be a great experience. It was like they actually REALLY appreciated me coming into their shop. You have to love that feeling. I was a walk-in and I only had to wait 10 mins before it was my turn. The technician cleansed my brow area before threading, which very few places do. She then spent about 15 mins making sure I had the perfect eyebrows. When I looked in the mirror...OOOHH WEEEE! I WAS A NEW PERSON! She really took her time and I really appreciate that when I'm getting my eyebrows threaded. I don't think my eyebrows have ever looked that good. This was my first time visiting and i could not be more happy with the outcome of my lashes!! I got them for my high school senior pictures and all of my friends said my lashes look so natural and that they fit my eyes so well. Sumi is so down to earth and welcoming! My other experience getting lashes at a nail salon did not go nearly as well as the lashes I received with Sumi! The lashes can last up to 2 weeks and the way Sumi applied the lashes was in a way that my eyes don't feel uncomfortable at all, which is a HUGE plus for me because of my previous experiences where the lashes only lasted 4 days because they were bothering me so much. I went on Saturday afternoon, I got my eyebrows threaded and tinted they came out perfect. I also got my lashes done as well, the young lady talked me through the process. Sumi is amazing- from her great customer service, to making sure your brows are perfect before leaving her shop. She was so kind when I walked through the door, greeting me very warmly and kindly asking me to wait as she finished the lady ahead of me. Every few mins she would check on me, kindly informing that she was almost complete. From the initial walk-in, she made me feel very comfortable! I must also mention that she didn't rush through the process but completed in a timely manner, and did a great job at that! I didn't have to say much either! She shaped my brows according to my natural brow shape but also added her touch of expertise to them. I am very protective of my brows and never let anyone touch them, but I chanced with her and I am thankful that I did! Sumi also recommends great tips for growing your brows thicker!
