This place is filthy. Nothing was sanitized between clients that I saw leave and come in. The nail techs did not have me wash my hands before service began. They also did not wash hands. They did not were gloves or washed hands even though they were touching everything and cross contaminating. I was horrified I should of got up and left but unfortunately I didn't. They allow you to touch the nail easels and every one else with NO sanitizing. I saw 4 people plus me and nothing was cleaned anywhere. I bathed in sanitizer and sprayed before I got in my car with products I had in my trunk plus my keys! This place has always been dirty and dusty from a few friends that I have talked to. It seems that there standards have not changed besides wearing a mask and putting up plexi glass that was also vile. I started coming to this place because it's close to my house and there is always a spot when you walk in. The first two times I came, I did powder gel, end they started cracking after 8 days, I'm always very careful with my nails, so the material they use is not that good. Yesterday I came to do a manicure gel, and the attitude of the woman which is the owner was very rude, she was rushing doing my nails stating that the line was long. Tried this place while on vacation. I called the day before and made an appointment for three of us to get dip and pedicures. We walk in and I see only three people working there and there was a woman already in a pedicure chair so I'm thinking this is going to be a disaster. I was completely wrong!!! The employees greeted us as soon as we walked in. We picked colors and three of us start the pedicure, the workers ( I believe were husband and wife and another woman) were so in sync with each other I was amazed, they took turns doing different things during the pedicure and the gentleman gave the best a foot massage I have ever had and I got a pretty little flower painted on my toe (something I never do). This was the first time I never had gel put on top of my dip and I didn't think it was going to last but here we are 3 weeks later and it still looks amazing !! We all finished at the same same and agreed it was one of the best salons we have been to. I will definitely be back !! Set an appointment for my daughter for a mani/pedi. Showed up 5 minutes early, 25 minutes after our appointment time we left.

Went there with my granddaughter for a pedi and fill. My regular salon was slammed and couldn't take us till today. I needed this done now, for specific appointments today. They never said they couldn't take us. They started the work over a half hour later. The busier they got, the worse the service was. My nails are uneven. I wanted gel on top of my polish. Which I have done every time elsewhere. They said they didn't do that, and argued with me over it. I asked Nancy if she had the product, she said yes and still wouldnt do what I asked for. What a waste of time after spending over 2 plus hours there. Then she purposely overcharged me, because I used my card. Then pointed to a sign taped to counter which she should of showed me before I paid; which said: pay cash or check for 10% off. They need to go back to school and learn new techniques. And especially customer service. I gave them one star only because I couldnt give them 0. Oh, and don't ask for nail art! That is another fight. read more

I have never given a bad review of a mail salon, BUT I called ahead she told me they were not busy. I walked in about 20 minutes later. She waxed my eye brows first. she ended up waxing half of my forehead above my right eyebrow, I have red bumps up to my hairline. Something that has never happened before. Then she sat me in a pedicure chair and left me with my feet in the water for over 25 minutes, I should have dried my feet off and left then! The man that finally came over cut my cuticles back so bad that my big toe wouldn't stop bleeding. It was the worst pedicure I've ever had. My toes still hurt 24 hours later. I watched the woman that just finished giving her client a pedicure two seats down from me use the foot towel TO CLEAN THE CHAIR AND THE ARM RESTS OFF AFTER SHE WAS FINISHED. The technicians here are friendly and definitely good at their job. I've gotten a couple pedicures and manicures (one acrylic, one gel) and both have been beautiful and long-lasting. The only thing is that every time I've been here they have been understaffed and I've been left in the chair so they could talk to other new customers at the desk. As a guy, I never really considered getting a pedicure until recently as I didn't like the way my toenails looked and wanted to start paying more attention to this and getting them taken care of, more than I could do myself. I had a pretty negative experience at this nail salon. First of all, I walked in at about 12:30 for an appointment, and did not leave until 3:45. Each time a new customer would walk in instead of telling them they'll have to wait and finishing my manicure before moving onto the next...they decided to jump back and forth. This resulted in me waiting around for 20 minutes at a time while they worked on someone else who got in an hour after I did. The woman working on me even stopped for 10 minutes to go wax a walk-in customers eyebrows. I did a lot of switching around between nail techs, stations, etc. I had sat in station 4 and they started my nails and eventually moved to station 1. THEN, a walk in came in for a manicure and was seated at station 4. Using the same tools they had just used on me. NO cleaning in between. Not to mention, they shared tools between me and my friend. No cleaning. When I had first walked in two women were getting pedicures. Once they left, someone else walked in for a pedicure. Sat at the SAME station as the women before. No cleaning of pedicure stations between clients I know for a fact because the only two people working were working on my friend and I's nails.... Very gross. read more

I have been to Pretty Nails tens of times over the last 2-3 years, and I keep hoping for a better result. When I was a new client, they seemed friendly, and took their time with the tools, and listened to what I was requesting to have done (nail shape, designs). I would go back because it was a convenient location as well. Not anymore. I am so tired of being burned with the Dremel because they're in a rush. I went to Pretty Nails for the first time last night with my mother because we're tired of the place in Manchester we've been going to. But we weren't impressed with this place either. They seemed understaffed (3 people working). My pedicure was rushed and somewhat painful. There is polish all over the skin around my toes. They skipped my mother's leg massage because someone else was waiting. On to my fill... they don't have many gel colors to choose from. And the guy filed my nails way too square - they don't look right (sharp and pointy at the edges). Also, he was nosy and asked too many personal questions. Lastly, it was $30 for a pedicure and $30 for a fill with gel color. Many places are $25 for a pedi and $25 for a fill with gel. We won't be back. read more

Which everyone knows pregnant people want there feet rubbed and sure enough it was wicked rushed. I had the worst experience of my life at Pretty Nails. My appointment was at 9am for a manicure and pedicure. I'm on time and the first customer to arrive. At 9:25am the owners arrive and began prepping my nails while someone else worked on my feet. Then customers began to arrive. The owner finished my pedicure but instead of black as I requested, she gave me a French "Black" pedicure. I indicated several times that I wanted just black but she did not comply. Then everyone left to assist other customers. An hour later an assistant returned and ask me to sit at station 5. I sat there for 30 more minutes and I could not take it anymore so I got at 10:45 and indicated that I was leaving. I was so upset and had to work hard to control my temper and refrain from crying. My appointment was at 9am, it is 10:45 and I'm still waiting for someone to begin my nails...as I watch other customers who did not have appointments and arrived after me get their nails completed and leave? The owner wanted to charge me $40 for a pedicure that was done wrong and for a manicure that was not done. The owner indicated that it would only take 10 minutes to complete a French manicure for a total of $65 so I decided to stay. Then I asked the owner what was the cost of my pedicure and she replied that she would charge me the cost of a regular pedicure, not a French Pedicure. She then reminded me, three times, that next time I should tell her that I want a black pedicure. Now I'm Angry! Not only did you keep me waiting two hours for a 9am appointment but you are also blaming me for your error? I replied that 1st of all her actions were very unprofessional, 2nd I told her several times that I wanted black but she preceeded, and 3rd I spoke with her assistant when I arrived. He began my pedicure and had the black polish. If she (the owner) is going to take over, then it is her responsibility to consult with her assistant and not make assumptions. The assistant apologized and indicated that he should had informed the owner of my request. A customer also came to my aid and validated what I requested. The customer also encouraged me to write this Yelp Review. In my opinion, customer satisfaction in both product and experience is important for any business. In addition, all customers should be treated equal, regardless of if they attend on a regular basis or infrequently. This was not the case for me. Made an appointment over the phone to get pedicures done with my mom, but probably should have been suspicious when they didn't write down our names or ask for a phone number. We arrived at the nail salon a few minutes before our scheduled appointment and the place was packed, so we put down our names on the sign-in sheet and waited for someone to come check us in. None of the employees seemed to be paying attention to the sign-in sheet/time reservations, though, because others who came in after us got in for their appointments first. Twenty minutes later, someone finally came and told us we could go back and sit down for the pedicures. We went over to the chairs but all of the nail technicians were busy and we waited another 20 minutes with our feet in the water before we eventually had to get up and leave. As we were leaving, one of the employees said, "sorry about that!" but did not seem bothered at all by our leaving. We'd had good experiences here in the past when they weren't as busy but this experience really soured our impressions of the place. All in all, we waited more than 40 minutes and were not able to get our nails done despite having an appointment.
