I'm in Clayton and it was for the Cary office but I said sure, because I'm in pain and preferred not to wait. I arrived at the office today for my appt and they told me it was in February. They were going to see me anyway, thankfully after driving 40 minutes, but then I was told they didn't have a referral. When I spoke to the person on the phone the previous day they assured me they called my dentist and had the referral all ready and not to worry about it. I don't know if the person making the appts is playing games with people or they are just that unorganized but I ended up walking out and will never go back. If they are this incompetent for a consult I can't imagine the nightmare of having actual surgery at this place.

We had a concern about infection after the surgery and the doctor practically blew us off. He didn't have time to even explain which tooth, she had all four done, had stitches. He was rude, short spoken, and careless about our deep concerns. Nothing he said made any sense and made me feel stops for asking a question about her aftercare. We decided to go to Urgent Care, since he was careless, and they said it was infected and started her on antibiotics immediately. No one seemed to have the time to care about my daughter and I greatly urge you to consider a different place to take your child for wisdom teeth surgery, if you love and care for your child. While the dentist who performed the extraction was professional and efficient, the subsequent care provided by the dental assistant was unacceptable. The assistant struggled significantly with the impressions, requiring three painful attempts that left my mouth raw and sore. Furthermore, she fabricated a temporary bridge that was bulky and ill-fitting, then proceeded to cement it without the Doctors authorization. The doctor eventually had to intervene to remove and fix the work. Which meant more unnecessary work had to be done. This lack of technical proficiency resulted in an unnecessarily long and "borderline traumatizing" appointment. I strongly feel this assistant requires further training before performing these procedures on patients again! However, the front desk staff is super sweet and nice. I enjoyed Stacy and all the knowledge she provided me to have a great experience!

My wife and I have been going to Dr Sims for the last eight or ten years and are quite satisfied…read more The office is clean and professionally run. The staff is unfailingly pleasant and helpful and get you in to your appointment on time. Dr Sims is caring, concerned and does a great job. He takes the time to answer questions and make sure you are satisfied. I have no complaints about the service. The only down side is that you have to pay at the end of your appointment and file your insurance paperwork yourself. Although, they do complete the required forms for you. If you are in need of a dentist in the Clayton/Garner area I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this practice.

The front desk is kind, provided me with perfect instructions and answered my questions. Getting an x- ray was so easy and she was sweet and patient! I was nervous! The dentist took quality time with me to understand my medical history and my needs. He explained several options, pros & cons, of course giving me the choice but what really amazed me is the way he explained things to me, the care I actually felt for what he is doing and I am able to make an educated decision asto what I'd like to proceed with. I am very disappointed with this practice. My dad needed to have his dentures repaired or replaced…read more My dad saw an ad on Facebook with them advertising a sale on their dentures, so we decided to try them out. I made an appointment for my dad which was today, January 29, 2026. We arrived, and I completed his paperwork, and then we were called in the back shortly thereafter. While in the back, the technician said she needed to take a panoramic on him. I questioned the panoramic because my dad has no teeth in his mouth. He has a full set of dentures. Additionally, the equipment that they use for the panoramic cannot accommodate my dad who has a tracheostomy (tube in his neck). I explained that to her and showed her and she realized that this in fact was the case. She goes back to speak to someone about it and then comes back to let me know that the dentist can still see my dad, but the dentist won't be able to guarantee treatment. I was quite puzzled by this because there is no point of my dad seeing the dentist if he won't be able to evaluate my dad and decide what needs to happen with his dentures. That would have been a wasted visit and a waste of money. The dentures are the entire reason that we went there to begin with. This dentist does not have the appropriate equipment for someone in my dad's condition to be able to safely have a panoramic done. They were penalizing my dad with not guaranteeing a treatment plan once they evaluated him because he could not do a panoramic that they were not equipped to give him. We never bothered to see the dentist because it made no sense whatsoever. As we were leaving that facility, I asked the lady at the front desk to remove my dad's information from their system because he was no longer going to be a new patient.
