To really make it look like new, it needed to be completely repainted. I got quotes from several other high-quality autobody shops around Oregon City, and I got one for the "best quality" that Maaco could do. Colby did this job for far less than the other shops would quote (around $6000 - $8000), and a bit more than Maaco (about $2500). The job they did was definitely in the top-of-the-line class and was worth every cent. Let me tell you, these guys did an A+ job. They pulled EVERYTHING off the car, trim, headlights, taillights, bumpers, brand badges, door handles... a place like Maaco NEVER does that. They thoroughly sanded the whole car down, and they fixed not only the two dings I wanted fixed, but a number of other ones I hadn't even noticed were there. They did a full 3-stage paint job (base, tint, and clear) just like the factory (Maaco doesn't do that either - two stage at best). The car looks, truly, better than when it was new. Every inch of it is perfect. Not a hint of orange peel or uneven color. Not a hint of any overspray. The job is spotless. All completely put back together like they never took it apart. They even detailed and CLEANed it. It was like picking up a brand new car when it was done. The shop might be kind of messy, and it has a bunch of cars around the office that almost make you wonder if it's a junk yard. But don't let that put you off. This is a first class professional shop. They did a lot of extra work to make the final product perfect, even things I didn't ask for. The work was amazing. After seeing this, I would never take a car anywhere else to be painted.
