I've had nothing but good experiences at this price chopper. They have good prices. The store is clean and organized and the meat, produce and dairy is always fresh. Keep an eye on their specials. Lots of good deals when you look for them. The parking lot is cramped and traffic usually sucks but it's just that part of town. read more

I always love Price Chopper. Used my coupon faithfully when I got it in the mail. Now, everything is on line and self check out!! Full service line is always full-shouldn't that tell the owners something? I got as far into the app as I could (I am a senior and was not raised on computers). Took a sale item to purchase it. Even though I had it up on my phone, that wasn't enough I had to do something (?????) else on my phone to purchase this item. WHAT????? I had to put it back.. Now ads show digital coupons??? What the heck is that??? I have no reason anymore to go shopping there. Parking lot is always a mess and now no coupons or gas incentives for me?? This price chopper needs some serious help! Its never well stocked. And I don't believe the cycle their product like they're supposed to I've bought a few things from here that have went bad within a day and it's very disappointing. I also bought some peanut butter the other day and when I tried it out it tasted like old stale peanuts. Horrible rancid taste. It was expired! Peanut butter has a long shelf life so how this happened is beyond me. read more

So the old Price Chopper was moved down the strip and revamped. I'm pretty pleased with the new store. They have a Starbucks in the store. Now, I'm not really a Starbucks fan but I think it was a nice addition for people who are. There are stores outside of KCK that had small coffee stands in them. I'm glad that we do too now. There's a wing bar and a salad bar, both additions new to the store to my knowledge. Also great for us. The lighting is great and the aisles are marked clearly. The workers have all been very helpful and pleasant for the most part. My one real complaint is the push to use the self checkout. I love to interact with people so I'll rarely use the self checkout plus since I coupon, it usually triggers a CSM to come over anyway. Also I'm not a big fan of paying the store for me to check out and sack my own stuff so I pass. Also the arrangement of the store doesn't make sense to me but hey, I just shop here. Really helpful employees made our experience a real treat Alfonzo Davis was our checker. He is efficient and very fast. He really cares for the customers and was very careful with anything fragile. Once again extremely disappointed in Price Chopper. I wanted to buy crab legs and the seafood department . He told me I couldn't carry them in my basket and they would be in the front of the store when I was ready to purchase. However, there was no display saying the policy. I talked with the shift leader Cheryl , she was more concerned about texting on her phone than addressing store issues. Previously , I purchased crab legs from here and the seafood department told me I could not pay in food stamps. I have bought crab legs from here before and carried them in my basket without an issue. This store seems to be suspicious of minority customers. Will not be coming back and filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureu . read more

Also of note is how ridiculously cheap the prices are too. I wouldn't go here for the produce because the market is rather small and the selection is not varied. read more

I do not care for this store and only come here if I absolutely have to. I stopped here because I was looking for sliced frozen okra. I found it here. That's the only positive thing I can say. The store is not formatted very well and many of the checkers are unprofessional and prone to making inappropriate remarks about various things from other customers, to employees with whom they are joking while ringing the customer up. The store always seems dirty too and seems to have odd smells at times. I have never cared for this particular Price Chopper and whoever is managing it doesn't seem to pay close attention to the staff or the condition of the store. read more

I always mark my sale ad for the sale items I need. State Ave. never disappoints, they always seem to have what I need when the other Price Choppers have empty shelves. The other stores offer at the check out to call a stock person, but I refuse to hold up the check out line. I just wish state Ave. store had a bigger parking lot. read more

We were very pleased with the great selection if fresh fruits, vegetables and meats. This store is well stocked, well organized and the aisles as well as the shelves are labeled making it easy to find the items that you need. We needed assistance finding several items and Jeremiah E. was right to help us. At the checkout stand Alfonzo Davis was extremely efficient. I don't do many complaints but when I feel discriminated against, I say something about it. I was in Price Chopper on Sunday buying things I needed to make a gumbo when I saw they had a sale on crablegs. I asked for a pound but he put in 2 pounds. I then asked for 2 additional pounds and he bagged them. I was going to put them in my basket but he told me he had to take them up front for me and I could pick them up when I was ready to check out. I thought nothing of it. The (white) lady behind me asked for 3 pounds as I was walking away to finish shopping. I passed that lady later in an isle and she had her crablegs in her basket. I didn't say anything to anyone because I really just wanted to get home and cook. I need to know why I was singled out to have my crablegs sent to the front. Can anyone explain? read more

Love this Price Chopper store.I Love the $5.00 meals that are put together by your employees. They are shelved right past the deli counters. Normally I find great meals like beef tips, meat loaf, and Swiss steak. How about adding more of a variety and the meals really can be hard to find. This is a $5.00 meal that I can afford and appreciate. If anyone can find Edward's Pineapple Cheesecake that would be wonderful. During my research I have found it to be unattainable....but I'm sure your wonderful bakery could make it with no problem. I cant stand this store. The workers are rude. The bakery is a joke. I asked if they could make a KC Royals cake, they said yeah and the cake had an ugly ol jersey on it that looked nothing like a royals jersey. They charged me $40 for it. This store may look new and nice but trust me looks are deceiving. I will be going to walmart from now on and just price matching my stuff because this store has completely p'd me off for the last time! I went to the salad bar one day and it was 45 mins before closing time and the lettuce was all crusty and the worker gon say I aint putting nothing else out tonight thats all we got until tomorrow. Ummm hello rude a** bi*** its still 45 mins until you close & you should have fresh stuff out all the way up to the minute you close! Checkers are not nice and after dark, I don't feel safe there.

Nice new lovely store. However, 2nd time I've been in to have their Tuesday Night Chicken Deal. They had sold out already. Always between the hours of 5p and 6p. They were making more but I didn't have 1/2 hour to waste. Mike the Store Manager would not offer a raincheck. When I have rough Monday's and Tuesday's in my line of work I like not to have to cook on Tuesday nights. Also - 2nd time I've went to the seafood counter and no one was staffing it. Waited around until someone showed up. Also many times when I go in for sale items on Friday or Saturday they are already empty on the shelves or in the freezers. I've just gotten into the habit of going to the PC on 43d and State for Sales. There are a few really great service individuals at the store but the rest are meh. Also the self serve registers are closed far too early in the evening leaving long lines with only one person checking people out. -- It's just not worth the hassle anymore. Will go to Hen-House in general and will hit sales at the 43d and State location. DONE! read more
