Ok. So living out west, we obviously don't have Price Choppers. Wish we did. This store is fantastic. My brother and I recently took a trip to Stowe VT. Had to see the Autumn colors. Thats a whole other story! WOW! Fun fact: over 2 million people flock to Vermont every year to see the magical colors of Autumn. When you see them in person, that number makes sense! However, traffic in a tiny town like Stowe... absolute nightmare lol. That whole area is a treat to the eyes! Absolutely breathtaking! So after our days of venturing around towns, our hikes, drives to see colors...we'd be too tired to cook anything when we got home. Price Chopper was right up the street from our Air BnB in Burlington. Even though they are expensive, I'd still recommend this store to people. It's super clean, employees are sooo nice and so helpful. They were also SOOOO sweet to my little man, Alfred (my little yorkie...yes, I'm one of those people lol) Again, prices are definitely high af, but with not many stores around (that we knew of) and being literal tourists, this place worked out just fine. They have their pre-made Caesar salads and omg they were SO good! Ya know how most things like that bought at....well, any and all grocery stores...turn out to be crap. Like they some times taste like literal a$$? Not these ones. SO good! The chicken was amazing. Perfectly cooked and seasoned AND! AND!! They were like $6! So there was something that was a lot cheaper than either of us ever expected. We bought one almost every night we there haha! Except the days we decided to eat out. Ok, so on some Sundays I like to get me some doughnuts. It's a cheat treat. The doughnuts at this place are NEXT. LEVEL! I bet they make them right there in the store...which most do not do anymore. They are fantastic! They put Dunkin and Tim Hortons and any other place to absolute shame. They're amazing and again, not expensive. So that's 2 things haha. If I remember correctly, I wanna say $1.35 each? We got them a few times and on our way out of town, I got a dozen to take back to my mom in New York. She couldn't get over how amazing they were. Wish there was a Price Chopper in her area...I would have brought them to her regularly during my visit there. Had to settle for...Wegmans. Love that store, their bakery though isn't nearly as good and isn't nearly as great as it once was...like back in the 90s lol. Other items, the milk, butter..stuff like that is where the prices were higher at Price Chopper. Did look like they had decent sales tho. I just loved this store. Definitely more than a pleasant surprise. Glad we decided to go in when we couldn't find a place to eat. If and when I ever go back to Vermont, this place will definitely get my business. It's not the store, it's the ha app. In order to get your ecoupons, you have to give all of your personal info, address, etc and then agree to be bombarded by texts, emails, and phone calls. How much more intrusive can they be, for 50 cents off. No thanks. Their app also never works, IF you can manage to get through the process. Hannaford is much, much better. Price Chopper is an AMAZING PLACE to go good shopping . Variety is at a premium wherever you look in this store. The ambiance is pleasing to the eye wherever you look: whether it is in the Floral Department or the Produce Section or the aisles, Frozen Department, Bakery,etc. Care is taken to beautify Price Chopper with seasonal decor along with musical selection. This is important . One thing that means a lot to me is trusting that the food is fresh and safely monitored . This category gets high points. The staff is friendly and down to earth . Not only are they only too happy to help you find something , but they even offer to accompany you to locate a food item. The location of Price Chopper is perfect ! As South Burlington has been lauded recently as the Best Place to Live in Vermont, Price Chopper is nestled beautifully in its midst on Williston Road and Hinesburg Road. I am in NY and wanted to send a gift basket to a Dr. in VT. I used FTD and was given Central Market Florist, which is in this grocery store, although there was no mention of that online. I purchased a Premium Chocolate & Candy Gift Basket for $92. I basket was not delivered. I called the phone number on my receipt, the first time I saw the name Price Chopper, and was told they were not the store handling my order, but they would look into it. They called me back to let me know the store filling my order was short staffed and had no one to deliver. Absolutely no contacted me from this store to tell me this. They had my phone number, my email, and all day to tell me. The woman helping me said they were upgrading my premium basket and delivering it tomorrow. So today I received a picture of my $100+ upgraded, Premium Chocolate & Candy Gift Basket and UNACCEPTABLE is the only thing I can think of to say. I just went there to buy some potatoes and green beans. It was a Sunday afternoon and there was only one line open for a cashier. The place was very very busy with long lines. I decided to go through the self-checkout it was the most cumbersome, long process. The most user unfriendly system I've ever dealt with as far as a self-check out system. read more

It's an old school grocery store design which is okay with me. However, they are also old school White run and use offensive names to to call food types. The have an oriental food section and this is very offensive (Orintal food is on the sign). My mother grew-up in Japan and she is not oriental. It's hard to believe in this day and age that a huge corporation would use a racist sign to indicate where the Asian food is located. Sad. read more

Worst grocery store ever. Never enough registers open. Employees wondering around not being helpful to the actual customers. Having to bag your own groceries after waiting 25 mins for the one person to bicker with a customer over the price of tomatoes, while people literally leave not only the line but the entire store to go to another store just adds to the fact nothing is ever stocked properly. What is the job of the ones not bagging, helping customers or opening other registers when the only one that is open is backed up by a person who barely knows his job? Getting paid to stand around? Some of the staff seems pretty nice. The lobsters don't look like they're in good shape. They have coupons in a dispensers, but not all the corresponding products. I noticed several small messes that needed to be cleaned up, like leaking milk. read more

i was in this store to pick up a few last minute items for mothers day meal, all went fine untill checkout, the young man obviously was more interested in the fact that he only had an hour and a half left of work as he let me know, he rang me out and as i held out my money to pay he proceded to fix his bags totally ignoring that i was ready for this transaction to complete, he had already bagged a few of my items, once HE was ready, i paid , he then proceded to ring the next customers mdse while i still had numerous unbagged items sitting there! ,i asked him if i was supposed to bag my own since i never go to this particular price chopper,he said well some people do while theye're waiting but nobodys really supposed to!!! i was so angry as he gets paid to take care of the customer!!!! he should NOT be in the customer service field untill he grows up and knows how to treat people, i also will be calling this stores mgr to voice my experience but will not be back there to shop. read more
